This preschool has been nothing short of amazing. My wife and I were looking for a place to bring our daughter and we were looking everywhere. We went to a open house on a Saturday and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We signed up our daughter and she has absolutely loved going there everyday. From the moment you arrive you are greeted by the Principal or Vice Principal. My daughter's teacher Ms. Kathy has been absolutely amazing. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, I want to give a huge thank you to my daughter's preschool teacher, Ms. Lupe, at Discovery Isle. She is truly the best teacher we could have ever asked for! Transitioning into preschool was not easy for us. My daughter had been home with me full-time, and adjusting to a new environment took time. Around 2 1/2 years old, I began to realize just how bright she was--she needed a space where she could grow, learn, and be around other children. As helpful as Ms. Rachel and YouTube were in the early years, nothing compares to real-life interaction with a caring, skilled teacher. That's why we feel so lucky to have found Discovery Isle. Even though it's a bit of a drive for us, it's 100% worth it to give our daughter the best possible preschool experience--something we believe will set the foundation for her future success in kindergarten and beyond. But let me tell you--when Ms. Lupe joined Discovery Isle, everything changed. Our daughter loved school before, but now she looks forward to it with so much excitement. Ms. Lupe brings such warmth and creativity to the classroom. She has a treasure box the kids can pick from when they're doing well, and our daughter is always so proud to show us her little rewards. In the mornings, we don't even say, "It's time for school"--we say, "Let's go see Ms. Lupe," and she lights up every time. Over the past four years, the women at Discovery Isle have become family to us. We enrolled our son in October 2021. Scary times, remember? Plus he was our first born and was only 5 months old. From day one, from the administration to the teachers, we knew our child was in the right hands. It's so hard to write this simply because I'm so emotional our time is up here. I wish I had found them sooner BUT in 3 months they changed our lives... literally! Our speech delayed son started here and could not engage in conversation without prompting or coaching. He also had behavior issues for focusing and sitting still. Unlike our previous schools (& I've tried 2 others) not once did the teachers make me feel like my child was a burden. They encouraged me every day saying "he's learning" "we will get there" and sure enough we did! This was our last week there and post pre-k graduation the kids got moved to a kinder enrichment class. I worried changing his teachers would set us back on behavior because maybe the previous teachers learned to deal with him or he was comfortable with them but nope! He moved to the next class, two different teachers and when he had a bad day which was rare at this point the teacher said to me but even on his not so good day I'd take a classroom full of him! My heart just filled with gratitude. My kid while still needing speech therapy is also identifying items in Spanish and counting in Spanish. They are so involved with the kids AND the curriculum isn't just for you to enroll it's real. They are actually doing it. We will forever be grateful for Discovery Isle. I can go on and on and on about this place. Everywhere else made me feel like I was the issue even made me feel like maybe I am a helicopter mom that needs to back up but nope! Trust your mommy gut! After 30 days here I naturally backed up because it was obvious and evident that they are good to the children. Principals are so attentive and nurture the kids and parents. They are very in tune with safety and all concerns. There's a lock code on the door. Every family has their own code and electronic codes to sign kids in and out. They arrange to have picture days like "big kid school" too! Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Blake, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Monica are the teachers we experienced in classroom and they were amazing! Very Patient but also assertive to control the classroom. Even the teachers who we didn't have except for morning drop offs like Ms. Julie & Ms. Cathy my son absolutely adored those two! He loved complimenting them (also something he could not do prior). It's not an inexpensive school but I promise you it's so worth it! So so so worth it. They feed the kids breakfast and 2 snacks included in tuition. You just pack lunch. Fridays optional pizza day to learn lunch at home & a tiny fee for pizza instead. You get what you pay for and then some! They also use an app to send daily reports and pics of your kid at school. You know exactly what they are working on during the week etc. they kids love having share day to tie in home items to their learning. I will miss this place soooooo bad! read more

This school has been such a relief when it comes to top tier teaching, learning, and overall care! My son went to Discovery Isle Temecula in the past but it was so far that we thought to try out schools in Lake Elsinore (where we live) but that wasn't the best experience. We literally tried out two separate preschools in Lake Elsinore (Storybook & Little Lambs) and it was so bad his learning flat lined. We were completely unsatisfied and mortified. We decided to enroll him back to Discovery Isle but at the Murrieta location. Since returning to Discovery Isle my son's learning and overall behavior has improved drastically. He even seemed happier and was learning Spanish and all kinds of things he was being deprived of at the other said preschools. The staff is professional and friendly, they look refreshed and just happy to work there which is a good sign! I honestly love Discovery Isle and wish I could keep my kid there as long as I can, it's literally the Harvard of preschools and I will continue to rave about them whenever someone asks for recommendations. Hello! My daughter was suppose to enroll, however not only is this school overly expensive, they will take your money and not give any documentation and postponed refunds. In the end my daughter did not end up going and they approved the refund.. but its been 2 months and they gave no paperwork or emails. After visiting a number of daycare centers for our newborn, both my husband agreed our little one will be enrolling here. The staff was welcoming, the facility was clean and there is an organized system for communicating with parents plus as our child ages he can continue at this center. As first time parents, we appreciated both the Principal and Assistant Principal taking the time to answer our questions. Looking forward to bringing our little one here! PROS: -Location: Close to home and building is hidden away from the shopping center (almost couldn't find it during my first visit). -Safety: Parents/Guardians have a code to enter the locked doors. Visitors are only let in when front staff open the door for them. We were very lucky to have my boy enrolled here from the age of 4-5 . I was impressed each day with the activity's they prepare for them each day. We are linked with their mobile app which every day they post pics of the fun learning activities. Which is great to see him having fun everyday there . Our family has had a child enrolled in Discovery Isle for the past 10 years. We began at the Temecula location when my son was 6 months old. We were first-time working parents who were nervous to leave their first child with strangers. We stopped by for a weekend tour and Ms. Nefris showed us around and it was her tour that sold us on their facility. I was so impressed at how welcoming she was, how safe she assured us our baby would be, and what an enriching curriculum they provided even for babies. Once our son was 6 months old, he began attending and we watched him be well-taken care of for the next 5 years. He ended his time with a spectacular pre-k graduation. At that time, my daughter was born and we enrolled her at 6 months old, as well. We eventually moved to the Murrieta location and quickly realized that they were also a well-running machine. We were also thrilled that Ms. Nefris became the assistant principal. That same teacher we loved from the Temecula was now at the Murrieta location and we were so happy she could continue to be a part of our family's lives. The teachers have been amazing at this location. My daughter currently has Ms. Cathy as her teacher and she is a phenomenal educator. She has a knack for working with young children. My daughter absolutely loves her. My daughter has had her tears dried by Ms. Cathy for years, she's grown academically and socially, and has had experienced fun, hands-on activities that make learning fun. Each teacher sends you pictures and a daily learning log to let you know what your child has done throughout the day. It also provides reassurance for working parents to receive updates throughout the day. There is also a security code for each parent to enter to provide another measure of safety. We are close to moving on from DI as my daughter is about to move on to kindergarten. We are sad to leave DI and wish we could continue to be a part of their community. First and foremost my daughter CURRENTLY attends here. This important to know because many reviews for preschools are either outdated OR they are from people who were visiting the school and their child never attended. I don't think you can review a school if your child never attended. I think they would have 5 stars if not for that and the fact that they have a new principal that is awesome and apparently is way better than the last. I researched everything on Discovery Isle and every school in Temecula and Murrieta and you'll be surprised what you'll find when you do! Here's the review: My wife and I literally checked out every reputable preschool in Temecula and Murrieta for months. This was our last school to check out and from the phone call to the visit to the review of the curriculum was nothing but fantastic! They by far have the best curriculum around, not that there are not other schools that were acceptable, but Discovery had a much more advanced one and the classrooms were by far the cleanest and most up to date. While others were more like a daycare or very out of date. They also have a much more secure way of entrance. From the front desk to the teachers to the principal, they are the nicest people you could want your child around! Now after her attending for 4 months now, they have met and exceeded all expectations. I am mostly impressed by the technology they use. NO OTHER school in Murrieta and Temecula embrace as they do! They not only have advanced security measures driven by technology but they also have an app that updates you every time your child is check in and out. It also has the summary of what your child was exposed for the day, from learning to the food they ate. They also include at least one pic for the day as well. The reason what the above matters to someone like me is I am a consultant and travel quite a bit. Every day when my wife picks her up when I'm away, I get a push notification saying she was picked up (also dropped off) and I can access the app and see what she learned and I get to see a pic of her doing an activity. Now when I facetime her in the evening I get to not only ask what she learned but I get to re-enforce it as well by asking questions like "so what did you learn about caterpillars today?". This is a true differentiator between them and all the others! Even when I pick her up I get to have a much more meaningful and engaging conversation with despite the fact that she is only 3! Hands down this is the best school around here, DM me if you have any specific questions. My kid loved it here. No more crying when I had to drop them off. Being in the 2-year-old room helped. They actually potty trained my child. We reinforced it at home. We left for a few reasons: 1. Murrieta Ranch (duh!) 2. The price is crazy (rather do that then be in a bad place) 3. There was a kid who would bite my child (almost daily) 4. Miss Renne left (good for her though, I want to stay home too) What I do miss is the security doors, everyone knows your names, the app that lets you spy on your kid, sees pictures, and gets a printout of what your child ate, when they slept, even their potty/bm breaks. My spouse, daughter and I went to visit this school today, as she just recently turned three and we're looking to start a good preschool program for her, due to the other Yelp reviews I was excited to visit this school. As it turns out, I left disappointed- upon arriving the lady at the front (I dont recall her name) had us sign in ... and another lady (2 year old teacher) gave us the tour. The tour was ok. She answered my questions. The good thing, I will say was, parents are able to see what their kids are doing at any time of the day via mobile app, and she said they learn Spanish. However, The kids nap for over 2hrs? Like wth, why? Huge turn off. If im paying for her to learn, I dont think that long of a nap is necessary. The assistant principal seemed really cold, I do remember her name, Kristin. As we were leaving the 2yr old teacher left us with her. Her attitude was really nonchalant and just not good vibes at all... due to that and a few other negatives we decided not to go with this school. I wish I found Discovery Isle earlier. My child was enrolled at another daycare in Temecula. I noticed a mass exodus of teachers, which caused concern. That's when we decided to move our child to Discovery Isle. A few friends of mine recommended it so I figured it would be a smart move, and they weren't wrong. The structure of the class prepared my child to go to TK. She comes home everyday excited to tell me what she learned in class. Her verbal skills and confidence greatly improved. She is also pointing out words she recognizes in her books, which makes her more excited to read every night. My daughter has severe food allergies and I appreciate the way the staff goes above and beyond to keep her safe. Our daughter started here at the end of May, a few weeks before her third birthday. She LOVES it! The staff here is amazing, it's always so pleasant walking in there, having all the staff know your child's name. As a SAHM my husband and I weren't looking for full time daycare, we were looking for a school where she could socialize, and learn in a classroom environment on a part time basis. I was happy to see that they offer part time hours, and your choice of how many days per week. I am very pleased that my daughter is enrolled here. At first, I'll admit I was hesitant to check out a facility in a shopping center, but once I visited Discovery Isle my fears were put to rest. It is tucked in the back of the shopping complex, and there is plenty of outdoor space for the children to play. The staff here is amazing and everyone is friendly. The classrooms are clean, and the building is secure. Every morning we were greeting in a cheerful manner by Ms. Jennifer or Ms. Renee (or whomever was covering the front desk). The curriculum is age-appropriate and I appreciated the monthly and daily updates we received on our son's activities and progress. During our son's time there, he was moved up a class based on his age. Teachers in both classrooms kept us apprised of how our son was doing, and welcomed the opportunity to speak with us when we had questions or wanted to give updates. Ms. Leanna is amazing! She has so much patience and gave great ideas for helping our son develop a joy for learning and respect for others. I cannot say enough good things about this early childhood education center. Amazing teachers, staff and curriculum. My six year old attended the intermediate and Pre-K classes here and he always looked forward to school. Miss Leanna and Miss Jessica were amazing teachers who did a great job of balancing fun and education. My son constantly talked about the pictures they made together and how much fun he had at school. Each class had a syllabus posted on the outside of the door so parents could see the day's educational goals. This was very helpful because it gave me a starting point to ask about what he learned. My son always had just as much to say about learning as he did about the fun he had. He is now in Kindergarten and was one of a handful of kids who earned a reading award for completing the year end goal HALF WAY through the school year. My wife and I recently enrolled our three year old in the intermediate class with Miss Leanna. He is the complete opposite of our six year old, but his curiosity and interest in books, colors and counting has increased dramatically since his enrollment. I have no doubt he will flourish here just as much as his older brother. My wife and I initially tried out two other "chain" child care facilities with our six year old due to their lower costs, but were disappointed in their curriculum. My 3 1/2 year old little girl started preschool here about a month ago and we couldn't be more pleased with it!!! We interviewed 3 schools. When I met with Miss Renee (principal) to see Discovery Isle she was very eager for us to see all parts of the school, answer any questions and took her time with us. Miss Leanna is a wonderful teacher and has a great attitude with the children. My daughter has already learned a lot in the short time she's been here. We also receive pictures and descriptions of what she did during the day every time she goes to school. Let me tell you why.. my son has a severe peanut allergy, so when we first enrolled him I was very worried about cross contamination, or my little one trying to get into other kids lunches. The staff has gone over and beyond to make sure there is a separate table for non peanut products! Additionally the staff is incredibly helpful, nice and makes every kid that comes in feel so welcome each and everyday! My kid has gone from 3 days to full time because he loves it there! My son has been going to Discovery Isle since he was 14 months old (he is now 3). Not only does he love it there, but my husband and I love it too. The teachers are all so friendly and helpful. They give periodic development reports that show growth in a variety of skills, which is awesome. We can also check in on our son on the website provided by the school. My sin brings home art projects all the time. He tells me about what he learns each day and surprises me with newly acquired terms and skills often. Our son previously attended a different childcare facility, in which he received little to no curriculum, a classroom setting with little control, and absolute zero requirement for development. You're reading this review because it's difficult, as a parent, to entrust total strangers to care for your child. My four year old son has been attending Discovery Isle since August, and I can confidently say that I feel he's gotten the best care in a loving environment with an ENTIRE staff who cares. Here's a sample of a day-to-day experience: I drop my son off early in the morning. Jen, the administrative assistant greets me and my son by name. I sign him in and bring him to his classroom. It's always calm in there--I've never seen a melt down, and the kids know immediately what to do and what they can play with. If my son missed breakfast because we were running late, he can join the other kids also eating. Around 9 am the kids start instruction. The teacher sends updates via email throughout the day (with pictures!) on what the kids did, and when I pick him up, there is always a note on the door of what the kids learned that day as well as suggestions on what to ask your kids to get them to elaborate on their day (you know the drill: 'what did you do today?' 'I don't remember...'). The kids get time out on the playground earlier in the day when it is cooler, and my son seems to enjoy that...then back inside. Lunch is at 11:30. It's very organized and the teacher warms my son's lunch from home if needed. Clean-up and at noon is nap time. My son hasn't napped since he was 2...No problem! It is quiet, rest time. Some kids nap, others, like my son rest. Sometimes he'll quietly read through a book or work on his writing. I will say...the amount of time for nap is pretty long--2 hours so that the two different teachers can take their lunches, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. After nap there is activity centers for kids to play and sometimes they go outside. My son enjoys the school very much and Miss Jessica, his teacher is a pro--she's extremely experienced and educated. My son has learned so much since starting, and I feel like he's ready for kinder--no problem! I'm so confident in this facility that I'll be enrolling my newborn in there after my maternity leave is over. Now that's tough...a 4 year old is one thing...a little baby is a whole other trust issue--but I can say I'll be happy knowing that she'll be in a safe, loving environment. When I first toured this school with my daughter I loved how all the teachers in the school interacted with the kids, , I was so excited for my baby girl & two year old son. they started right away within a week. But sadly as the days were going on, every single day for pick up something was missing that belong to my baby. When I would ask the teacher for it, she seemed confused her self. By the end of the day the director would assign another teacher to closed down the infant side who clearly doesn't have any idea of how my child's day was if she was in another room all day. When I would confront the Vice Principle Melissa about this issue she wouldn't even stare at me in the eye, without having her face glued to her computer. When I would confront to Ashley the new Director she would just say "Oh we will find it". One day I picked up my kids from school at 6PM and I noticed my baby hasn't been feed since 2PM. How could you possible forget! On a side note Ive also notice teachers come and go at this place. Maybe possibly could it be the poor service the Vice Principle and Principle do. I don't recommend this day care at all poor service, I've had a horrible experience. Don't get me started with my 2 year old, his attitude started changing I had to get them remove right away ! seems like the school cares more about taking money than taking care of children. if it was possible i wouldn't give any stars to this school. read more
