I really enjoy eating at Dish whenever I crave Korean food. My favorites are the tteokbokki, kimbap, Korean army stew, and seafood pancake. They only offer four banchan dishes, but they're also my favorites: bean sprouts, pickled cucumbers, kimchi, and fish cakes. Feel free to ask for refills on the banchan! The staff is always really friendly, and the interior is very comfortable. You get a discount if you pay in cash ( you save more than just the credit card transaction fee).

The Gopchang Jjigae was awesome. Super tasty, so much so that I brought the leftover soup home and put a udon noodle in it and had a second meal. I'd come back just for that. Not a big fan of sweet and sour tofu in general but my friend who ordered it liked it. The flavors were great. Very surprised to find a quality korean restaurant with so many menu choices this far from Duluth. Great location for us because we are close by a lot. Will come again to try more items!

Came as a party of 12 with a reservation in advance, so they might have been overwhelmed with a large group. Their service was good, they made sure our waters were always filled. But the food is VERY mid. Rose tteokbokki was super watery and only had like 10 rice cakes in it. Seafood pancake was soft and mushy instead of crunchy. Soondubu soft tofu stew came with a lot of variety for the proteins but was lacking flavor. My vegetarian friend whose birthday we were celebrating tried ordering the kimbap because the menu said it was vegetarian-friendly, but it had fish cake in it which went against her diet. We complained and they took it off the menu, but it was clear that the waitress didn't believe us when we said we had fish cake in it (or maybe she was confused, but we had a couple of Korean speakers explain the situation and they still had to repeat themselves at least 3 times before she understood). The food was pricey. What we got in terms of quality and quantity was absolutely NOT worth the price. I think they tried their best to accommodate all of us, and I appreciate the effort, but I don't remember the last time I felt this underwhelmed at a Korean restaurant in Doraville. Won't return again.

I haven't been here in awhile and glad to visit again since everything was so worth it. I heard that the quality of their food has gone down, but definitely wasn't the case this time around. We came on Friday afternoon around lunch time and there were 3 other tables with customers. It was pretty empty considering they're located right next to the popular Food Terminal. We were greeted right away and seated down. We started perusing the regular menu, then one of the sweet servers dropped off a lunch menu. I ordered the kimchi stew and tteokbokki to share with my husband. He ordered a spicy pork bulgogi lunch set. Shortly after placing our order, the server dropped off banchan - my personal favorite were the green beans and fish cake. My kimchi stew was pungent and piping hot. It had a nice spice and served with white rice. It was alot of food and didn't really dig into the tteokbokkin as much as I wanted. Nevertheless, I left Dish with a happy stomach.

This place used to be on my lunch rotation a lot more before covid, because they had a lunch menu. However, i came back recently and I forgot how much I've missed their food. They have introduced a combo set and bento box option which really is a great way to get a little taste of everything! Parking can get challenging sometimes because it's located next to food terminal and an asian market, but overall I'm so glad i decided to come back! The feels of this place is very authentic.

At a shopping center. We started off with the tteokbokki, kimchi pancake, Korean style chicken wings with spicy chili sauce, C5 Bibimbap + kimchi tofu soup and two hot tea. $78.44 Their kimchi pancake is okay, although I was surprised to find squid in it, missed the menu options for seafood or seafood kimchi pancake. I really wasn't expecting or wanting any seafood in my pancake at all. Should have been more specific and clear. The dipping sauce is good. The rose tteokbokki sauce is good, nice kick and heat to it. The rice cakes are quite soft and mushy. The tea has a subtle flavor, but still quenches your thirst. The bibimbap default comes with bulgogi beef, which my husband had to eat, since I don't eat red meat. The bibimbap with a bit more sesame oil and gochujang was good. The kimchi tofu was okay, a bit bland, the bulk of the flavor has settled to the bottom of the crock pi The banchans: kimchi, cucumber kimchi, broccoli and fish cake.

The food is so good. I had been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm so happy that we were able to come. The service was awesome and our food came so quickly. I loved the authentic style of the restaurant as well. Everything was fantastic all around

We've been to Dish plenty of times, and we always enjoy it. It's been our first time back since the change in management, but the food is still great! We got the kimchi fried rice and seafood tofu soup. I enjoyed my seafood tofu soup, and it came with a good mix of seafood. The kimchi fried rice was delicious as always, and the only thing we noticed was that cheddar was added as one of the cheeses, but it didn't taste any different. The banchan it came with was also a lot bigger than they used to be, and they offered refills. We like how clean the restaurant is, and we love the decoration as well.

Pretty simple korean restaurant with delicious food! They have a variety of soups, noodles, and rice dishes. I especially liked their side dishes (Kimchi, potato, fish cake, & assorted veggies). Their yookaejjang and potato pancakes were very good, especially. Nice portions, friendly service, and a clean environment. Only complaint is that the restaurant gets kinda hot (especially when you're eating spicy/hot foods. I would consider lowering the ac just a tad bit more. Other than that, no complaints!

Tuna kimbap...can you spot the tuna?
    Vivian N.

This place has been around for a while but they've really gone downhill. The tuna kimbap I ordered came with a comically tiny amount of tuna. 5-10% tuna to 95-90% rice/vegetables is crazy to me considering they are all cheap ingredients. At the time of this review their website wasn't working. The phone number they have listed on Yelp also doesn't work.

Stopped in for lunch, servers were two super sweet ladies...which I feel is pretty rare as far as Korean spots go. Normally it's no bullsh*t just order and get out...which I love...but anyway they were very nice. Place was neat and tidy, and nicely decorated. They offer water or tea, with no ice. I brought my own water, because I dislike the taste of Dekalb Co. water...so I can't offer much on how their tea tastes. Banchan-All tasty and nicely seasoned. My fav was the bean curd in terms of flavor, kimchi next, then potato salad and lastly green beans. All of them were fresh, well besides the kimchi...lol Mando-I got them steamed but you could have them fried. In terms of flavor, they were pretty bland. The dipping sauce, which I'm assuming is ponzu-like was nice and light-but the meat mixture could have used some salt at the least. With that said, they were steamed perfectly, the meat portion was good and the wrapper was thin. Kimchi pancake-They needed salt or soy sauce or something added to the batter. They were crispy and spicy...but that was it. The kimchi flavor got lost because the batter was so bland. I ended up eating them mixed into the salad. The noodles in the salad were perfection! They were bouncy and springy and chilled. *chefs kiss* All of the veggies were crispy and fresh and perfectly sized to slurp up with the noodles. The sauce was a little sweet and a little spicy and complimented the beef nicely. The beef was cooked well and had nice flavor, I would have liked a few crispy bits as opposed to the steamed consistency of the meat....but eehh I realize that's a me thing probably. I'd come back...nothing here is mind blowing or show stoppingly good, but it's a really nice place to grab a quick lunch that tastes good...even if it's a smidge pricey.

Very good food. I ordered the kimchi jiggae with mackerel and it was sooo good. Lots of mackerel and good amount of kimchi, broth was justttt right in warmth and spice. It's not spicy, but it warms you up, perfect for a cold cloudy day. I got it to go and it was enough food for a meal and then a small meal. They give you some banchan (small side dishes) and rice. What kind of surprised me was that the amount of time it took me to get there and then back to my place was about 45 minutes, but when I got home, the food was still pretty hot so that was an added plus. Service is slow here and not the friendliest but also, I don't care; no one was rude and the food was good lol. It's located in plaza parking lot.

The Korean food scenes got my wife and I hungry every time! Having been to many of Atlanta's best Korean restaurants over the past decade, Stone Bowl is a clear notch above the rest. The side dishes are just simply better with robust authentic seasoning and unforgettable flavor that leaves you craving for more. The kimchi is spot on for spice but not overwhelming. The potatoes are to die for, cooked to perfection, tender and absorbent of all the nearby flavors. For the first time, we tried the Korean sushi roll (K-Pop Demon Hunters was calling) and it didn't disappoint. Stuffed with fresh cooked bulgogi and veggies, we ate it so fast we were left thinking of Korean sushi rolls had an edge over Japanese sushi rolls! And we also got the poached dumplings for the first time and almost went as fast as the sushi roll. The authentic style of poaching the dumpling made it taste homemade from grandma's kitchen. The sizzling plate of bulgogi was amazingly put down the gullet on top of everything else. Consistently on point and warms the tummy. Service is cordial, but somewhat aloof and distant at times because we would have loved an offer to refill our side dishes, but admittedly they are often busy and we don't go there to expect Michelin dining service levels. We come for the food. Awesome food. And Stone Bowl House will be seeing us again before long.

I'm now genuinely baffled that this spot has so many positive reviews. Have y'all had actual Korean?! I can confidently say this was my first time ever having what I believe to be 'americanized' Korean food. I'm spoiled by BuHi and Duluth because I was far from impressed with this place. It may be owned by Koreans but there can't be any in the kitchen (not an exaggeration). Let's start with a few positives/neutrals. The restaurant was very clean. It has a minimalist style, so literally white walls with no decoration lol. It's giving anti-ambiance, which is more of a neutral good I suppose. The little lady at the front was very nice. This is not a place you bring your family for a dining experience because there are all of 4 or 5 tables. 20 seats max. On a more positive note, the sauces they offered were good. Now let's move onto what induced my hanger. The japchae tasted like it was soaked in chemicals. It just had that stale tap water vibe that was very off putting. The bulgogi had a decent flavor but the texture was... questionable. The pickled veggies had no crunch. I've never had soggy cucumbers from a Korean spot, ever! The mango green tea tasted like artificially flavored water. I didn't want any of the free refills offered for that "tea". The entire meal simply fell flat. The bowls just looked sad. I really appreciate the concept of the build-a-bowl. But the execution with the ingredients is just not there.

It's an asian restaurant food that offers seating inside and outside. Once we entered we were seated immediately and handed menus. Their menus are super cool and unique and are a bit overwhelming but nevertheless full of so much variety. The waitress was very sweet and checked in on us periodically and helped us fill out our sheet to place our order. We ordered a plethora of stuff such as crispy bulgogi bao buns, brushed sprouts, steamed dumplings, mango chicken and a noodle plate. Food didn't take long for it to come out on their little robot and staff helped put everything on the table. Everything smelled and looked amazing so it was tough to decide what to taste first! I first tried the crispy bao bun and was blown away by the flavor it had! It was like a mini burger. After that I tried the steamed dumplings and they were so yummy and specially with the sauce. It was busy inside, but our party of 10 was promptly seated, though we were a little squished into a circular table. I didn't remember this last time, but instead of telling a server what you want, you mark it down on a paper menu and hand it to the server. This time I got the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodles and the Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp Garlic Noodle. I was really excited to try both since they both sounded so good. Ultimately the Grandma's BBQ Pork Noodle was a little underwhelming - the noodles themselves weren't very flavorful, and the BBQ pork was on the drier side. The pork did have decent flavor, and all the toppings/side items (wontons, fried egg, bok choy) were great, but all in all fell a little short of my hopes. The Salted Egg Yolk Garlic Noodles had better flavor, but I could've used even more garlic and butter. The shrimp definitely carried the salted egg yolk flavor, but the fried batter was a bit soggy/soft in my opinion. I wished it was crisper. Service was a tad slow, but perhaps they're understaffed and/or it was busy that night. I do love the menu concept of positioning it like a magazine catalog - it makes for a fun experience instead of just words on paper
