This is my go to restaurant inside the H Mart in Doraville food court. Price wise I want to say they are the fairest priced restaurant among the stalls. I paid $13 for this stirfry shrimp noodle, also known as shrimp hou fan. I feel like the some of the other stalls give less food and will charge me way more. They are a small family owned stall inside the food court, they are very friendly and honest. I love supporting small businesses like this. I come here all the time. As someone who doesn't really eat pork often, I like their barbecue pork(char siu) I would actually recommend getting it with the rice plate instead of what I got in a bun version. I ordered an order of the jajangmyeon noodles to go along with the corn dog because I didn't think that it was going to be enough for dinner. Anyways the jajangmyeon was pretty good! I was surprised of the amount of sauce that came with it. I didn't take a picture of the noodles, but it was portioned pretty well especially if you were only eating it. I split it between myself and my wife. The sauce is pretty much a little bit of meat among a big amount of onions. I usually only go to Myungdong hotdog in the Chamblee Hmart food court, but with grocery stores being my only outings, Beijing House caught my attention as I was craving jjajjangmyun. While it can't substitute SanWonGak, Chef Wong, and Manchunhong(my favorites), Beijing House was a golden find. It certainly suffices my craving and tastes like the jjajjangmyun sold in Korea. My other go to menu item is this and their donkatsu. I've never been a fan of donkatsu, but here, it's super good. Crispy, not oily, and tender fried pork. I believe there's also an option of a different type of meat, but pork is classic for donkatsu. Would recommend Beijing House. read more

One reason I give it a 3 star is because there's so much good Korean food around. This place is pretty standard. Good service, nice packaging for to-go orders, and good food. We got a Jjambong (spicy seafood noodle soup), Jjajang (black bean noodles), Woolmyun (starchy seafood noodle soup), and shrimp fried rice. All of it was tasty and decent, but nothing really stood out. I guess that's hard nowadays. But also, I think the H Mart in Duluth has an amazing Woolmyun, and this is the same chain. I wonder why theirs is so much better? There's quite a few other restaurants in this H Mart (which I think is the best one around because it's so massive) that I think I'd try other places. read more

Really solid and fast place for Korean Chinese staples inside the Doraville Hmart. We had the kimchi mandu, jajangmyeon, and jjampong. The mandu was pretty big and had a lot of meat in the filling. I feel like I've eaten at Beijing House many times but have failed to review it. Located in the H Mart food court, Beijing House is one of many options to choose from. However, I finally had the jjajyangmyun and jjambong combo. It's a solid meal - you get a bit of both worlds, too. I like the soupy and spicy noodles of the jjambong and then digging into the saucy salty noodles of the jjgajyangmyun. This is similar to the menu offering at Man Chun Hong, but not any better or worse than their version. Overall, if you have the craving, this is cheap and quick. Beijing house is one of the vendors inside of H-mart that serves korean Chinese style food. As it's my first time here, I decided to go basic by ordering Jjajangmyeon. In a matter of minutes, my food was ready for pickup. It didn't come with any side dishes therefore, I'm not sure if they provide any side dishes at all. Jjajangmyeon is a noodle dish that's topped with a black bean sauce and vegetables mix. Before eating this meal, the noodles are typically mixed together thoroughly with the sauce to have good coating on each strand. I went in for the first bite and it was very tasty 8/10! The seasoning was well balanced and the noodles are cooked perfectly. There is a very tiny amount of meat in the sauce but I'm okay with that. At $6.99, for the portion of the meal I received, it was a bargain! I will order this again and something else when I'm in the area. read more

They do have American Chinese dishes as well like Mongolian Beef, Phoenix and Dragon, Happy Family, etc. But since they are in H-Mart, I decided to try their Korean Chinese dishes. I tried their Jja jjang Myun. Jja Jjang Myun is a popular Korean dish. It's basically black bean noodles. It has a sweet and savory flavor. Beijing House's seems to come with beef and onions. They don't really have any seafood. It seemed like a basic Jja Jjang Myun. I thought it was on the bland side. The noodles had good texture though. For its price, it tasted okay. I tried their Sweet and Sour Pork (Tang Soo Yuk). That tasted a lot better. The pork was deep fried with a good, crunchy exterior. The sauce was great. It was indeed Sweet and Sour. I think it's a decent place to get Fast, Chinese-Korean food. read more

Beijing House is a Korean-Chinese restaurant located at the food court inside the Doraville Super H Mart. This restaurant serves up relatively quick, tasty, inexpensive, and authentic dishes. Like other food court stalls at Asian supermarkets, Beijing House has a picture menu of its nearly 40 different dishes, spanning from simple fried rice to fried chicken and noodles. Most entrees are only $7-9 each, which is a decent value. Beijing House specializes in several dishes that the typical Chinese food court/take-out joint does not. These include jjajangmyeon (thick white wheat flour noodles topped with a salty black soybean paste), jamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup in an orange-red broth), and gan pung gi (fried chicken in a spicy garlic sauce), all common in South Korea. The menu also has typical Chinese "fast food" items like lo mein noodles, orange chicken, beef with broccoli, and Mongolian beef. One of their more popular noodle dishes is the Singapore noodles. If you've never tried jjajangmyeon or jamppong before, this restaurant has a $7.99 combo special which includes both in one meal. These two distinctly different noodle dishes are served in a two-compartment bowl that is evenly split down the center. It's neat. Note this is a salty, starchy meal that'll fill you up and possibly make you look and feel bloated. The gan pung gi is good stuff. It can sometimes be considered a snack. This dish is best shared because it can get rather heavy. The boneless chunks of fried chicken are coated in a rich savory garlic sauce. The dish comes with roasted red chili peppers and freshly sliced green jalapeno, reminiscent of Szechuan cuisine. To top it all off, everything is seasoned with black pepper. Yes, this dish is spicy, but fortunately not excessively so. A large scoop of white rice is included, but hardly "balances" the plate out. Really, you should probably order a lighter dish to go with, preferably containing vegetables. The Singapore noodles here are OK at best. The portion size is rather generous with plenty of jumbo shrimp and nice, thick slices of tender chicken. The noodles are also cooked with egg and veggies like bell pepper (red and green), mushrooms, and green onion. The yellow curry is what really makes this dish tasty and Beijing House's version isn't bad. My only critique/observation is the noodles are wetter, soggier than they should be. Beijing House is great for dining in or taking out. All food is made to order, so don't expect Panda Express-style instantaneous service. If dining in, your food will be served to you on real plates and bowls on a serving tray. If ordering to-go, the food is packaged in disposable Styrofoam containers. Styrofoam cups can be requested at the counter, which you can use at the food court's complimentary water dispensers. Service is good. If dining at the food court, remember to return your tray and used dishware to the counter. read more

If I'm not in the mood to cook, I usu. come to the food court, scan the menus at each of the food stalls, and more times than not, end up at Beijing House. I like the variety of menu choices, the reasonable prices, and that the food is cooked-to-order. However the downside is wait time. But I'll take fresh food anytime - beats Chinese food at the mall food courts by a long shot. Added bonus - each order is served with yellow daikon pickles ... except I wish they served kimchi, too. Portions are generous - great for sharing, otherwise if you order for yourself, you'll have enough leftovers for another meal. Jja Jang Myun (noodles w/ black bean sauce) ($4.99) - best choice according to the cashier. It's the cheapest, too, plus you get a lot of food. We've ordered takeout and I swear they give you even more - if you order takeout, 2 orders is plenty for 3 ppl. The sauce has the nice smoky flavor which I can't seem to recreate at home but restaurants can, and the sauce has the usual meat, onions, & cucumbers. Jjam Bong (spicy noodle soup) ($5.99) - tasty spicy broth, with veggies, squid, and I counted 2 mussels and 3 shrimp. Another favorite of mine. Ggan Punggi (spicy fried boneless chicken) ($6.99) - I love the strong garlic smell, and anything fried :) I wish fried was healthy. Chicken Wings ($5.99 for 10pcs) - their honey glazed wings are really good, too, but I wish they had more meat on them. Mongolian Beef ($6.99) - also good. Mugugai Pan ($6.99) - like the Mongolian Beef, this dish is a good option if you're wanting something more "Americanized." Kung Pao Chicken ($5.99) - good flavor, slightly spicy, veggies are usual suspects (green peppers, onions, carrots, zucchini) except celery was MIA :( Singapore Noodles ($5.99) - rice noodles w/ pork, shrimp, & veggies in curry sauce. Not bad but a little boring after a while. Overall 3.5 stars rounded to 4 for being better than your average food court restaurant, cooked-to-order, and reasonable prices. read more

General Tso's - the chicken was crispy with a thick sauce that was salty/vinegary and also a little sweet. It wasn't as spicy as i would have liked it to be but It still was good, in an average way. Jajamyun - first time ever trying this dish so I have nothing to compare it to. It definitely tasted better than it looked. The black been sauce was thick and you have to mix it with the noodles for a while to make sure they were all coated well. There were pieces of meat, onions and some veggies mixed with the sauce. This place opens at 11am. There are many Chinese dishes and Korean-Chinese dishes. We were debating on just getting jjamppong or get jjajangmyun & jjamppong combo. We decided in the end to get jjamppong. The jjamppong was pretty good and cheap. Pretty big bowl for its price. It was actually redder in person than the photo. There was actually a lot of broth and seafood in this dish. Noodles were made just right. Really good deal for jjamppong. Service is pretty fast and staff are pretty nice. Korean style Chinese food stand in hmart. We got the combo which comes with jjajang myun, Korean spicy chicken and three dumplings. The chicken in one combo wasn't spicy at all while the other one was really spicy. Maybe we can ask to customize the level of spiciness? I didn't really like the dumpling. The filling is a bit small so it's mostly just shell. The combo is good if you want a little bit of each thing but if you're going to get a couple of combos, it's probably better just to order regular dishes so you can customize it. They don't really let you modify the combos. Next time we'll try the lo mein and seasame chicken. read more

I ordered a jajeonmyun and Kung Pao chicken to go. It took 30 minutes for my order to come out. The vegetables in the kung pao chicken were slightly more burnt than usual for a stir fry, but the dish was still tasty. The portion for the jajeonmyun was definitely enough for 2 people. I don't know why I resisted the H Mart food court for so long. This ain't your typical Sbarro and Panda Express, y'all. Beijing House was chock full of delicious Chinese goodness, with heaping portions for incredibly low prices. My Singapore noodles were under $7 and worthy of two meals. I, of course, put down the entire plate in one sitting, but I'm just saying... a normal person would split it. I typically don't like food courts because they're loud and bleak and I like being served. Yeah, I'm a princess. But Beijing House gets my repeat business. I mean, they serve their food on blue and white china: for that I'd imagine even my grandmother would be down with this spot, and that's certainly a strong endorsement. read more

The flavor was underwhelming- perhaps because it takes time for the sauce to soak into the noodles. The pork was decently tasty, with a good mix of fatty and lean. I only ate half of my bowl, and just had the other half for lunch today. The flavor coalesced with the noodles overnight, so it tasted better- though still just 'A-OK'. I'd probably get this again just because I'm strapped for cash. :-) 3 stars for the noodles, and an extra 0.5 star for the price. One of the best "Asian fried chicken" dishes that I've eaten in a food court setting. The premise of having a food court in a supermarket (H-mart) is a great idea, since you've just spent the last hour shopping for food and are consequently too hungry to wait to go home and cook. I ordered meal #6, which is the Korean fried chicken dish (don't remember what the actual name of the dish was, but it's definitely #6). I was happy that there was actually chicken in the dish. I hate it when a restaurant serves sesame/ General Tso's/orange chicken and it's all breading. Large chunks of meat are served here. The sauce was very good too. Definitely some level of heat with at least three elements of spice here - I noted there was plenty of black pepper, Sichuan red peppers, and jalapenos. Great portion size. Overall, a good option if you're like me and get hungry after spending an hour buying groceries at the supermarket. read more

Craving for Korean-chinese food, we came here for a late dinner at 9pm. We checked the operation hours of the market and it says the market closes at 10pm. When we got to their booth inside food court, no one was around. Finally an older guy came and showed an attitude with "what do you want, back off" face as if we interupt his precious time off. We were trying to order noodles, fried rice, etc. and were told most of them are not available because it was too late. Okay, we came late so couldnt get what we wanted.
