Love Dish N Dash! Been to the Milpitas location a few times based on a friend's recommendation and was so excited for this restaurant to open! Stopped by on Sunday to pick up an online order. My order was ready within 15 minutes and was packed & ready by the time I went in. The shared parking lot had plenty of spaces available. Interior was large and clean and similar to other locations. Food portions were generous and tasted fresh! Items ordered: Beef hummus- Large order that came with pita. Delicious and great for sharing! Medium salad with chicken shawarma, veggies, and babaganoush- Fresh salad, plenty of protein, and loved the sides.

The lamb kabobs, garlic dip, babaganoush, hummus, fries, were all great! Their sauces that you can grab / pump on the side are also quite good.

I dropped in to pick up an early dinner on a Saturday night. I had called in my order and to my surprise later learned that they were so busy they had temporarily stopped online and phone orders that night after my order. There was a long line of customers queued to order at the counter and tables were noticeably full of patrons with well presented dishes and a wide array ot types of food. Lots of large groups. Festive atmosphere with everyone enjoying the food and conversation. Simple and modern decor and a large dining space. We had a variety of mixed plates: - Kufta with Freekeh, Falafel and Salad - Chicken Kebab with Freekeh, Salad and Babaghannouge - Tabsi Kufta with Basmati Rice The portions were generous and quite tasty! We will definitely be back!

A casual spinoff of the legendary Sunnyvale restaurant, Dish N Dash features a modern, Californian take on Middle Eastern cuisine in a counter-service setting with plentiful seating. We started with the Veggie Delight, a mezze platter of falafel, hummus, tabouli, babaghanouge, red pepper-walnut dip, feta, greens, and pita slices. My personal favorites were the creamy hummus and crispy falafel, but every component was delicious! Another highlight of the menu was their vibrant salads, made of mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, herbs, olives, and za'atar lavash chips. The fresh and crunchy salad was topped with a corn-edamame salsa and pulled sumac chicken, tender pieces of chicken spiced with citrusy sumac. But the most unique, authentic Middle Eastern dishes on the menu were their entrees, including the Tabsi, an acidic mixture of stewed eggplant, onions, tomatoes, peppers, garlic, and dry lime in a mild curry, topped with a tender fillet of salmon. Their signature dish was the Mansaf, tender chunks of lamb cooked in a creamy spiced aged yogurt sauce, which had a deep, umami, tangy flavor. Both dishes came with freekeh, cracked wheat with a smokey aroma. Every dish we had here delicious, and everything came at a decent value with friendly service too!

Grilled Chicken Shawarma w/tabouli and garlic dip

So glad we finally got a Dish n Dash! Ordered for pickup on a weekday and it was crowded in the parking lot (a good sign!). Husband said it was well organized inside in terms of where to pick up to-go orders, etc. The food was delicious, and the portions were hearty. Hubs got the Beriani Dajaj. It was surprisingly saucy. We thought it would be a drier dish, but it was very good nonetheless. And the extra sauce was so good mixed with the rice. I got the grilled chicken shawarma with garlic dip and tabouli as my sides. It was also very good and so flavorful. I do wish there'd been a little more tabouli, but the garlic dip was fantastic. The shawarma comes with edamame corn salsa, which tasted fine but the I didn't care for the textures. I'd probably ask to exclude the next time if I remember. It wasn't a deal breaker, just more chewing than I wanted. But hey, there are so many other things on the menu we want to try. They even have fresh pressed juices! Highly recommend this restaurant!

Came here on a Friday for dinner. This is a counter service type restaurant. You order at the counter, then find a table. Your food will be brought out to you. It was obviously busy as they had just opened the Wednesday prior. The restaurant is nice and new. Aesthetically, not as nice as the Cupertino location, but still fine. Lamb Shwarma grill plate - 4/5: always my favorite with hummus, cabbage and walnuts, with freekah. All very tasty, not overcooked. First time trying the cabbage and walnuts. That was a nice surprise and will order it in the future as a side. Sauces available was yogurt, chipotle yogurt, green and red sauce. Not sure what the last two sauces were called, but those are spicy. Chicken shawarma grill plate - 4/5: very good with a nice spicy, not hot flavor. The combination of tamarind and cumin is nice. Hummus on the side which is always good. Falafel was solid as well and good dipped in chipotle yogurt! Baklava - 4/5: solid offering. Buttery and crisp. Overall, great addition to Dublin. Service was very good in terms of delivery and removing your dishes. Will return again.

Great place for middle Easter food around here. I personally hate counter service places because people don't know you're supposed to order first then look for tables because it keeps the flow consistent but I digress. This place was poppin when we walked in. Great selection of food and drinks. I had the kebab which was delicious and the lentil soup...to die for. Hubby had the falafel which he loved and also the portions are excellent because it leaves you with leftovers for later. Pretty good addition to Dublin

First of all, we have never tried the parent Dish Dash, so we are newbies! We ordered the Veggie Delight platter and the chicken shawarma and hummus. We loved it! My favorite was the red pepper walnut dip and the falafel! The falafel was flavorful with beautiful color. The chicken shawarma was seasoned so well- unexpected! We can't wait to go back and try more! We took it home, but we will dine in next time because the place was huge and loved the vibe. Our new favorite Mediterranean place!

Chicken Kebab salad with baba ganoush and falafels

So happy to have this casual Mediterranean restaurant in Dublin! This large restaurant has plenty of seating inside. You order at the counter, given a buzzer then everything is brought out to you. Portions are large and the food is good. I had a salad with chicken kebabs. Two sides were included and I chose the baba ganoush and falafel. So much food. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Falafels were moist and I liked how chunky the baba ganoush was. I love the self serve sauce bar and put the garlic yogurt, chipotle tahini and green sauce over everything. I'll be back to try more dishes!

Where to start when you've been absolutely blown away in every aspect of a dinner experience. The design of the outside looks really good I like it a lot. When you walk in it's even better. Everything is well spaced and not crowded. Everything from the paint to the coloring of the furniture is well done and clean. They have a few TV's which is really nice and outside seating. The amount of seating is great. The staff is amazing and very friendly. I was able to meet some really nice people today. For the food absolutely amazing. Best Middle Eastern food I've ever had. between the wife and I we had the Shawarma Hummus with lamb. Wow what a dish. Next we had the Shawarma lamb and the wife had lamb kabobs. Both dishes we decided on rice and lentil soup. Both those dishes were amazing also. I decided to try the Jasmine Petal tea and that was very good as well. Best lamb outside of my home we have ever had. I do a good amount of lamb cooking at home. We can't wait to go back again but this time we will bring the kids as they love this type of food as well. Thank you very much for an amazing experience.

Pretty good spot! Hope the location does well! We got the grill plate and chicken kebab.

I did not like the dry tabouleh so they are going to lose a star. I didn't see any tomatoes or cucumbers in it. My mom loved the lamb Shawarma . The hummus was really good. Falafel's were good of course I've been to all their locations.

Allan N.

Just open, 2nd day. Expect some rough edges. Would love to come back and update. Here are the misses. Chicken and beef shawarma over cooked, dry and tough to eat. Rice was not as good as other store in fremont. Lacking herbs. Not as flavorful. Tabouleh needs more mint. Overall flavors are ok. Room to improve for sure.

sultan b eating this kebab UP!! it is so yummy. food is 10/10 no matter what you order (except…read moredesserts). service is quick and lines are longer than my dead fried hair. it was pretty affordable (what even is affordable in the bay) but idk because other people paid for my meal since i'm broke! yay! location - pretty easy to find its in like a business plaza thing. they have indoor and outdoor seating but i hate sitting outdoors because the wind blows my hair into the food and then i eat my hair ew food - my group tried the flatbread and dip platter thing as well as the chicken shawarma, falafel, kebab, and lamb. all stunners no suckers. portions not bad the rice is amazing i'm pretty sure they cook it in some sort of stock, it's very aromatic. salad is great, i love chewing on raw green stalks like a cow 10/10 flatbread is okay, a bit doughy and not as puffy/light as i prefer. also on the sweeter side and does not seem to be made fresh to order but i personally don't care. i am here for the protein 7/10 meats were supermazingtacular! doused in flavor, tender, juicy. lamb shawarma does not have that despicable slightly irony lamb taste! that is a win in my book! chicken shawarma is awesome and kebab is very well seasoned. i think everything here is probably drowned in sumac or SOMETHING idk it is so addictive and i ate a lot 10/10 falafel is also good, soft inside, crispy outside, not grainy. great with their slightly average flatbread and hummus 9/10 SPEAKING OF HUMMUS yum!!! super smooth and refreshing. i do like their baba ghanoush more tho. dips are all great! 9/10 we also tried some desserts which...no comment (in a bad way sorry guys). i am not taking away a star because i am a nice funny person but hot damn these were sweet. at the first bite my tastebuds rolled back to diabetes. why are these so sickeningly sweet like they would taste so much better lightly sweetened. or maybe we got the wrong desserts idk...we got the coconut/pomegranate dessert, chocolate/pistachio, burma/pistachio, and the nice guy added a few of the tulumba things (i think?). all of them had amazing flavors that were overpowered by the sugar content. the burma thing was my favorite just because it was the least sweet and i suspected some cardamom which is yum 6/10 service/ambiance - service is great very efficient, lots of seating, cute rainbow umbrellas hanging upside down on the ceiling. what more could you ask for (besides more money) 10/10 anyway worth a visit but if you want dessert just ask them for their less sweet ones. or maybe don't. maybe some people want to inhale sugar and you know what...you do you girliepop!

Lamb Shawarma rice bowl, missing the avocado, too much rice, mostly not eaten at the end. Lamb Shawarma plate Shawarma dry and crispy, again overload of rice. Lamb kebab plate, one family swore had a chicken skewer in it. The lamb skewer was yum! The lamb shank stole the show. Definitely the highlight of the evening. Again, rice. The rice overload needs to be addressed by Sultan's. It would be much nicer if you could order meat skewer sides and add carbs IF wanted. With a 5 dinner order, the hummus that arrived on the plates were too small to share. Think 5 pita half's and 2 sauce container hummus. Doesn't translate. The onions could be pickled. So your goodbyes don't annihilate your friends upon departure from dinner. Floor Staff are amazing as always! Ambiance is nice and warm. Turkish tea would be nice like Sultans at Blackhawk.

The bolani comes as either a half (6…read morepieces) or full (12 pieces) order that was strange when normally its just one order and its good for a bunch of folks. Flavor was all over the place -- a couple pieces had no salt at all, while others were way too salty. And the spicyness wasnt(aka chilli flakes) in the potato mixture wasnt spread well either. I got the triple kabob plate and the rice portion was surprisingly small compared to other Afghan spots. Chicken kabobs were inconsistent: some pieces were super salty, others were fine. The beef was tender, but not every bite had the same flavor. Chicken was tender though, cut well. Could have been flavored a bit more Plates overall felt smaller than what I'm used to at similar restaurants. Also worth mentioning -- they serve alcohol here, so if you're strict about halal, that might be a consideration. Since a place selling wine- not sure how strict they are on sourcing halal meat (hand slaughter for example). Also very pricey location compared to others maybe since they serve wine they catering to folks that drink who may spend more without caring All in all, not terrible, but definitely inconsistent and portion sizes could be better. Worth mentioning that all these de afghanans are not same - they have diff owners etc. Not bad seating, was empty for a sunday lunch at noon .

I love coming here for a weekend lunch after a walk at my favorite Park in Danville…read more My husband always orders his favorite combination shawarma plate. It's a huge plate of food and he always brings home half. I tried their vegetable plate today for the first time. I thought the flavoring of the different dips were just okay. The eggplant dip was too sour. In order to make everything work, I highly suggest you save the red sweet pepper dip and mix it with everything else. I enjoyed the two falafels because they were hot, very light and crispy. The dolmas were sour. Overall, I felt like I was eating a lot of baby food. It's difficult to take home dip so I just ate it all which is a lot of food. I enjoyed the chickpea salad. It was one of the three items that was not a dip. The dips went well with their pita. When you order two entrees, you get a good amount of pita. They always serve complimentary black tea with your meals which is comforting to have. This restaurant is always clean and the music relaxing and not overwhelming.

3.5 stars reluctantly rounded down to 3 stars. Maybe a couple of "off" nights…read more My "go-to" weeknight place if I'm too lazy to cook but want a healthier meal than fast food. Favorite item on the menu is the chicken burger. Also like the skinny fries included as a side. The fries stay crisp even when eaten at home at room temp. Occasionally, indulge in the yummy chocolate mousse. Really rich and decadent. But lately the portion has gotten smaller. Don't mind too too much because it is that good. But once, got a cup of mousse that wasn't creamy at all but was 1 solid mass. When scooped, it crumbled. Cream could have been overwhipped. The end result, they made chocolate butter not mousse. It also had a slight "refrigerator" flavor like it was stored uncovered and it absorbed flavors from other food in the fridge or freezer. Only reason I didn't complain was I didn't want to drive back to the restaurant. But management should be careful and practice higher quality control. Issues like these will erode the good will of loyal customers if they persist. The other thing the restaurant has messed up is when I ordered the Sultan salad. This particular salad doesn't typically have lettuce. It has tomatoes, cucumbers, chickpeas, feta, and avocado. Once, staff gave me a lettuce salad instead. This has happened only once, again when I did takeout. Partially my bad since I should check the bag before leaving. Could also be a language barrier. That particular night, I was trying to be extra healthy and making special requests. The cashier must have been so confused and didn't know how to key my changes into the register. Next time, instead of trying to order a lettuce or protein wrap, I'll get the chicken burger as is and discard the bun at home. Or won't order smaller portions of different salads to try to make a "sampler" salad plate. S'OK tho, as long as it is some sort of salad, I can truthfully tell my doc I'm eating healthy. Just won't tell her about the occasional baklava, chocolate mousse, or pistachio kadayif. Lol
