One of my go to spots! I love the avgolemono soup - have had it at least a dozen times. Also their ground chicken kebab is delicious with a lot of flavor. Every time we walk in, we are greeted with a smile and the food comes right to our table. Lots of indoor seating and they have TVs inside (we watched one of the world cup games while having dinner). Love this spot and will keep coming back!

It wasn't too crowded when we got here at 6pm on a Saturday night, but about 30 minutes later, there was a line almost out the door. I ordered a chicken Adana wrap and the fries which was a huge meal.

I've tried many Mediterranean places. They've all been very good, but THIS place is off the charts. Absolutely delicious! I'm having the lamb kebab plate, and loving every bite! My new go-to when I'm in this area! Don't pass this up!

We are here with family for dinner last night. Food is ordered at the counter, and everything came out fast. We started with orders of the dolmas, which were good, and spanakopita, which were fantastic. Three of us had the gyro platters, and the fourth had the gyro wrap. Gyro meat was different than any other gyro we've had before. It was somewhat thin and kind of shredded. To me, it tasted more like beef than lamb, and could've used more seasoning. Everything was good, and maybe I'd get it again, but I would do so not expecting a typical gyro dish. I'm not sure my daughter was impressed with her gyro wrap. More lettuce than meat, and I think she had a similar view on the taste. Hummus, pita, and everything else were fine.

Super solid Mediterranean food! The portions are super generous and everything was delicious! I got the Truva Special Mix and it came with a lamb kebab, lamb and beef gyro, chicken gyro, chicken kebab, and a lamb shish kebab. The plate was absolutely loaded with meat and it came with a side of bread that was super soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. The sauces were excellent and paired very well with each item on the plate. The chicken had an excellent grill flavor to it and the gyro was amazing. The seasoning on all the meats including the grilled veggies which included peppers and tomatoes were solid! All in all, great choice for Mediterranean/Turkish food!

Chicken Gyros was on point. Needed the Taziki and not the Tahini, but was still a winner.

Great food quality. Simple, yet delicious. Plenty of great options for lamb, chicken, and beef. Staff was great, and was min close proximity to my hotel. I'll definitely be back when visiting the area. You don't want to miss out. Great job guys.

I can't believe I've never been here before! I see Truva on Yelp all the time, but didn't realize how close it was to my work. Truva is located next to the Chick-fil-A on Hopyard Rd. There's plenty of parking in the lot. I ordered the chicken gyros plate (comes with pita bread) and the baba ganoush. Everything was fresh and delicious! It was a bit pricey, but I had leftovers for the next day so it wasn't too bad. The baba ganoush was nice and smokey and it was perfect with the pita bread! I'll definitely be back to try the other dishes.

A wonderful local find! We had such a lovely experience here! The owners are incredibly family-friendly and made us feel welcome the moment we walked in. The ambiance is clean and cozy, making it a great spot to grab dinner. We were impressed by how fast the food came out, and the complimentary cucumber water was such a refreshing, thoughtful touch. We got the Adana & Chicken/Lamb Kebab plate. Soo delicious! Excellent customer service all around--we will definitely be back

Visiting Pleasanton and this restaurant was such a nice surprise. Very clean inside and friendly prompt service. Order from front and they bring to your table. Everything is freshly made. The chicken kebab plate was delicious. Chicken prepared and seasoned perfectly. Side of rice, hummus that tasted homemade with a delicious bread to dip in and a salad with cucumbers, red onion, tomatoes and delicious dressing. Loved everything about this restaurant!

Ask the Community - Truva Mediterranean Grill

Are the menu prices current? Thanks.

    Yes.

What's the difference between the Truva Special Mix Grill for $23.99 and the Combination Kebob Plate for $18.99? Looks like they just rearranged the words on the menu?

Two different orders. Combination kebab only two kebab combinations, Truva special shish kebab, chicken kebab, Adana kebab, and mixed gyro combined...

Does this place have halal meat?

    It's all halal.

We ordered rice pudding and it arrived liquid/runny, is it supposed to be like that?

Yes, Turkish pudding isn't as "jell-o" and rubbery as American pudding, it's more like a dry cream layer on top of a more liquid body.

We did a full inside restaurant buyout and had the option to select several appetizers, two salads and four entrees from the menu. Of all the places I researched, this was the only one that was willing to do a full sit down meal (as opposed to a buffet). The restaurant is very pretty (and photogenic) and there was plenty of space for our guests to mingle before the food service began. The food was outstanding as were the desserts. Love how open the restaurant is with windows and natural lighting. The food was alright and pretty expensive. We individually ordered, but shared like family style including appetizers. We tried the Saganaki $17.00+ Skillet-fried flaming kefalothiri cheese, brandy, lemon? It was okay. To me, it just tasted like cheese topping from a slice of pizza. It was cool to see it being lit on fire though. I did like the fried calamari, that was delicious especially with the sauce. I ordered the mushroom and spinach omelette $19. It came with potatoes and fruit like watermelon. It was decent, I mean it's an omelette so what can I say, lol. The serving size was perfect to share. Our server was good. The woman who helped us clean our plates and refilled our water was very attentive as well. The bathrooms were clean, two stalls. Parking is available in the back or on the street.

It was simple and salty which was a nice way to start dinner when our drinks arrived. I had a hibiscus martini which was cute and refreshing and paired lovely with the saltiness of the dip ! It was delicious! Would order again. We started off with appetizers. We ordered the Kofte which were Turkish meatballs with tomato sauce. The meatballs were flavorful and juicy. The sauce had a slight kick to it which I enjoyed. I would just request they add more sauce next time. We also had the Greek dip trio which was hummus, tzatziki and babaganoush with pita bread. The platter was generous and I really loved that each dip was distinct from one another. We had plenty leftover so we requested it to go along with extra pita bread! As an entree I ordered the Talas dish. I wasn't sure what to expect but when the dish arrived I was surprised. It was a flaky pastry with a chicken/vegetable stuffing on a curry sauce topped with raisins and apple slices. This was a different yet intriguing combination. At first bite into the pastry, I felt the filling was salty but once you combine it with the curry sauce and apple all the flavors are brought out together. The curry was mild so the combination of it with the salty filling along with the slight sweetness of the apple and raisins all balanced each other out. I'm glad I tried something different and out of my comfort zone! I really enjoyed the dish and the variety of flavors it brought out. We came in on a Friday evening and although they were busy, the waitress and staff were all polite and attentive . It was pleasant to feel welcomed and they were all sweet. I look forward to coming back!

I didn't get his name but he mentioned he was Ukrainian. I didn't typically go for middle eastern food. It can be bland. I thought the reviews were decent so I thought it was okay to try. Boy do I regret it. For this being similar to a chipotle the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I could have gotten a pasta dish at an expensive restaurant for just a few more dollars. I got the 50/50 bowl with falafel and chicken. Couscous as my base, light greens, Tabbouleh, cucumber dill salad, cabbage, eggplant, tzatziki sauce, hummus and pickles. It was extra for Feta and olives which I opted out of. It was $18.86. The falafel was good. It has a strong citrus and cilantro flavor which paired well with the tzatziki sauce. The eggplant, the cabbage, the Tabbouleh, the cucumber salad all desperately needed flavor. Everything was so bland. A pinch of salt and lemon would have made the world of difference. I just couldn't taste anything besides plain bland vegetables and garlic. The falafel paired well with these components but bc it was a 50/50 bowl I only received 3. The chicken was terrible. No flavor at all. The issue is that bc I didn't opt for the ridiculously expensive add ons, which would have made this a $22 meal, the meal was BLAND. The chicken DESPERATELY needs the salty olives and feta. However for fast food that comes in a bowl I just could not justify paying extra for something and it's even more appalling that the dish NEEDS the add-ons. I'm from out of town (Tucson, AZ). I understand that the influence of local culture is going to impact ethnic cuisine. Maybe people in this area don't like seasonings or spice or salt. Either way, this was a terrible waste of $18. If you're someone who likes balanced nuanced flavors, this is not the place to go. If you know you like this kind of food, I'm still not sure this is the place to go.
