    Mediterranean plate

My family and I had an amazing lunch Sunday January 26 to start out the new year right. We had heard good things about this restaurant and wanted to give it a try. Very glad we did. The menu was impressive offering so many choices. . The seven of us shared a couple of large family dishes, and then each got our own entrée. Hand cut fries is our a favorite and the Greek salad was superb .as one the chicken shawarma and falafel plates we chose. The food was fresh quality products and delicious. We had a very attentive waiter, which helped make our dining experience, even better. If you haven't been to this restaurant - give the place a try, you will be glad you did. Bon appétit.

Amalfi is a place I haven't been to for a full sit down dinner yet, but I experienced their food through a catered event and it honestly impressed me so much. We came for a Ramadan iftar, which made it even more special because we got to sample a wide variety of dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious, and the presentation of the food was beautiful. You could really tell how much care went into both the flavors and how everything was set up. There was genuinely nothing we didn't like, which says a lot. Being able to try so many things in one setting made me even more excited to come back and experience it as an actual dinner spot someday. Definitely looking forward to that

I'm not sure how to rate it. The food preparation was to die for but it is so mismanaged. There was only one person serving and taking orders. I have to give it to that young kid. He was very polite but soo overworked. The restaurant was full with so many people and only one person seating, taking orders, serving and cleaning. I wonder why. The food was great! So, if you go make sure you are not too hungry and have at least 3-4 hours on your hands. Sit there and chat and relax. The food comes extremely slowly. The saving grace is that it's delicious.

The food here is super tasty, but the atmosphere is a bit lacking. My friend and I came on a Friday night and the restaurant was pretty empty/quiet. We got the sampler app platter, chicken wrap, and gyro wrap. The wraps were 10/10 with their garlic sauce! Would def get food from here again, but probably to go next time.

The food was good but they have an unpredictable schedule and they never answer their phone.

I was looking for a new place to try and this caught my attention. Actually, the picture of a burger did. Decided to give it a try. Unfortunately my friend and I got in right after a table of 12 and they ordered first. Thus, our food most likely took more time than usual to arrive. We waited at least 15 minutes. And when the food came, the order was a bit mixed up. I wanted chicken shawarma with rice, but got fries instead. My friend wanted beef shawarma with fries, but got rice instead. No biggie. They quickly brought a huge plate of rice for me. That was enough rice for 3 meals for me. Not only was the presentation great, the taste was excellent. My friend and I enjoy going to the Kebab Shop to get something similar. I tasted my friend's fries and they were crispy. Our server even offered more sauces and I got a garlic sauce. I believe the garlic sauce was different from the white sauce that was already on my chicken shawarma. The only two things that it's lacking are: 1) It takes longer to get the food than the Kebab Shop, but I can always order takeout ahead of time. 2) It does not offer a beef/lamb combo shawarma. But I would say this place clearly has the upper hand: better tasting food, more in portion, and free pita breads. I would even say this is now my favorite place for shawarmas in tri-valley. I have been trying to eat healthy so I was actually looking for some veggies. After finishing the meal, I asked the server and he said I could substitute the sautéed vegetables for rice. Great! I plan to try the beef shawarma with sautéed veggies next time.

Me and my sister wanted to order shawerma, we called for pick up for two shawarmas with fries inside which is pretty traditional. We drove all the way from hayward to dublin for this mind you. I go inside for pick it up and my total was 44 dollars! I checked the receipt and noticed he added 18% gratuity for party of two? I was the only one inside picking it up so I am not sure where the party of two came from lol. I have never experienced this for take out on the other hand gratuity for a party of two? I did not realize until I checked my receipt later. I ended up spending an extra 4 dollars because I asked for fries inside and unfortunately it was not there. There was barely ANY fries on the actual side too. I called to complain and they said they were unable to add the fries inside. I wish he let me know before I ended up paying. The shawerma wrap was also extremely dry. I will not be coming back/ recommending !

I had really high hopes for this place as I have always driven by it and decided to go to lunch here. We had a group of six and even made a reservation for 11:30am even though it was probably not needed. It was a warm day and the ac was not on until we were getting ready to leave. The meal started off on a bad note. I asked if the cheese burekas were popular and something got lost in translation when the waitress said it's carbs with cheese and she thought I had asked if it was healthy. We decided to order that and a chicken samosa for appetizer. We were all ready to order when the waitress said oh I forgot to tell you we only offer breakfast and appetizers on Saturdays. This would have been nice to know before we saw the menus so then we had to take some time to change our choices. We put in our order for our breakfasts and the appetizer finally came out at 12:10pm and we were enjoying them when the waitress came back to say I lied it turns out we have everything on the menu and I didn't put your order in yet. So we placed our orders for what we originally had our eyes on and food finally was served an hour after being seated. While waiting for our food my husband was looking around and saw a giant cockroach on the floor crawling from the main hostess table. Nobody was nearby to help us get rid of it so one of us had to bite the bullet, crunch the cockroach and walk across the street to Taco Bell to dispose of it. The food was decent, although I had asked for chicken shawarma with a side of rice not fries. But after waiting so long I gave up and just had the fries. I wish there was pita bread to eat the hummus with as none was offered to us. Eventually we got boxes but the check took a bit to get to us. It is 18% gratuity added on for parties of 4 or more. I most likely will not be back anytime soon.

I haven't been spending that much time in Dublin lately. Well, here I am. I'm in the East Bay, today. I wanted to do some more Mediterranean cuisine again today. I'm here at the one and only, Amalfi Mediterranean Fusion this Afternoon. And I'm going to start off with something healthy, the Amalfi salad, it consist of Lettuce, Tomato, Pitted Kalamata Olives, and Feta & Citrusy dressing. Then I'm going to move onto the Beef Shawarma Rolls with Shredded Beef, Hummus, Tahini salad, Pickles, & Red Onion in Lavash. This is like the best looking Shawarma Rolls around. This was a big portion, bigger than expected, this probably serves 2. The salad was so fresh, balanced between tart, Creamy, Sharp, Crunchy, Toasty, and slightly sweet, a lot of different contrast and texture. The Shawarma Rolls were very Beefy, and savory. The Fries were kinda impressively, cooked to perfection, and I really like the Spices they used in the Seasoning, it was smoky, and thoroughly Seasoned. I like the Presentation, I gotta give them some points for it. I kinda wanted to give this a 4.3 stars, but I give this 4.3/4.4 stars out of 5 stars. I enjoyed my meal.

The Veggie Combo Plate came with a variety of mezzes including cucumber tomato salad, piyaz (chickpea salad) with tahini dressing, two dolmas, two falafels, and creamy hummus, along with grilled pita bread on the side. Everything on the plate was fresh and flavorful--the falafel had a distinctive green, herbaceous interior and gummy texture, and the piyaz had a nice creamy tahini dressing on top. The Combo Shish Kabob came with freshly-grilled skewers of chicken and lamb kabob over rice, along with a cucumber yogurt sauce and salad on the side. I also tried their chicken and lamb shawarma, salty and spiced pieces of meat shaved from a rotating spit. I was also a big fan of their harissa hot sauce, a flavorful chili paste with a spicy kick! While the strip mall setting was nothing spectacular, everything we had was delicious and came at a good value, and the service was friendly too.

I didn't get his name but he mentioned he was Ukrainian. I didn't typically go for middle eastern food. It can be bland. I thought the reviews were decent so I thought it was okay to try. Boy do I regret it. For this being similar to a chipotle the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I could have gotten a pasta dish at an expensive restaurant for just a few more dollars. I got the 50/50 bowl with falafel and chicken. Couscous as my base, light greens, Tabbouleh, cucumber dill salad, cabbage, eggplant, tzatziki sauce, hummus and pickles. It was extra for Feta and olives which I opted out of. It was $18.86. The falafel was good. It has a strong citrus and cilantro flavor which paired well with the tzatziki sauce. The eggplant, the cabbage, the Tabbouleh, the cucumber salad all desperately needed flavor. Everything was so bland. A pinch of salt and lemon would have made the world of difference. I just couldn't taste anything besides plain bland vegetables and garlic. The falafel paired well with these components but bc it was a 50/50 bowl I only received 3. The chicken was terrible. No flavor at all. The issue is that bc I didn't opt for the ridiculously expensive add ons, which would have made this a $22 meal, the meal was BLAND. The chicken DESPERATELY needs the salty olives and feta. However for fast food that comes in a bowl I just could not justify paying extra for something and it's even more appalling that the dish NEEDS the add-ons. I'm from out of town (Tucson, AZ). I understand that the influence of local culture is going to impact ethnic cuisine. Maybe people in this area don't like seasonings or spice or salt. Either way, this was a terrible waste of $18. If you're someone who likes balanced nuanced flavors, this is not the place to go. If you know you like this kind of food, I'm still not sure this is the place to go.
