Do you see that boozy coffee?! Why is this not advertised more?! (Only at Elmwood btw)
    Jamie B.

I have to say District has stepped up its food and coffee game a lot. I have been frequenting their locations more and more, especially the Elmwood one. I recently discovered their boozy coffees and that they sell Vietnamese coffee - eff the world condensed milk glory! So, freaking good. During the holidays, they sell egg nog lattes which are creamy and so delicious. But if you want the boozy one, go with the District Lebowski. Jaw drop, so good! I still think the donuts themselves need more work - I wish they would taste sugary like the ones in Lafayette called Meches. The toppings are exquisite and those hot honey fried chicken sliders are the best! The staff are very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I kind of wish those boozy coffees were at the other locations, but other than that, keep doing what you are doing!

The Spicy Chicken sandwich and the Brussel sprouts are the answer here. Lol. I'm not a fan of their donuts. I like more of a cakey donut and these are more of a bready donut. While the toppings are fancy, youlll throw the other part of the donut away. The service was quick and our stuff came out fast. It does seem like the young man walking around didn't want to be there, but he didn't bother us. Lol. I didn't like having to select a table, then having to wipe it down. All in all is a cool spot with clean bathrooms.

Fabulous little donut shop place that has awesome coffee, chai tea, breakfast sandwiches, mini slider burgers and Donuts! Every time I come by here, Service is always fast and I could always find a place to sit and enjoy a quick coffee with a breakfast sandwich. If you're in a rush for coffee and food, this is where you go highly recommend.

I dined-in a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday around 5pm. There were around 3 employees, one person waiting for a to-go order and just one table of customers when I came in. The ambiance is casual. The staff was attentive to every customer and the wait wasn't too long for the food. I ordered the "ranch bird" and waffle fries and I enjoyed it. The house-made garlic ranch was tasty and elevates the sandwich. I loved the brioche bun (it's not too heavy of a bread), but it does get a little messy holding together all the sandwich components--so, napkins are a must. I would dine here again if I lived closer. I was satisfied with my experience.

10's across the board. Iced honey cinnamon latte with oat milk, cinnamon roll (has a crème brûlée top), original cold brew, and BEC scratch biscuit. Also, they have pebble ice!!!

So this little restaurant is one of a kind. The environment: the restaurant is tucked away in a little shopping center by a few other new and trendy restaurants. Price: high-ish, but it's craft and the customer service is excellent. The service: Everyone was friendly. They greeted us literally as soon as we walked in the door, was patient when I need a ton of changes to my meal due to food allergies, ANDDDDD they didn't tell me what I couldn't have. They simply made my dining experience as pleasant as they could. Food: they offer a variety craft donuts. As for my meal, the tacos were amazing. The smokiness of the chorizo bacon was amazing. The eggs tasted organic, definitely fresh. The pico was fresh and a perfect combination of onion, cilantro and tomato. The jalapeño sauce was creamy with a lil tinge a spice. Overall, I'd try them again and you should too!

No inside review because I did take-out. It was ready pretty quickly. Service was decent. They were getting people in and out. My food hadn't been sitting for long. The donut was nice and fresh. Very flavorful. The sandwich was really good and the chicken was actually hot lol! But the honey helped set off the spice a bit. The grits were flavorful as well. Nicely seasoned but a little runny/soupy. If you need a quick breakfast place to stop at on the go then they're good for that.

The staff is friendly here and I really enjoy trying different donuts each time I go. Their Vietnamese iced coffee is really good!

Took some Donuts to my friends and they absolutely love them. I got an egg chesse and bacon biscuit and it was great. I will be back!

Awesome donuts! Also try the breakfast sandwich. The miso praline bacon is amazing! Love eating in, but super easy to take out as well.

If you want good, hot donuts, do not go here. The donuts always taste at least a day old.

Decent service but my family and I were not impressed with their donuts AT ALL. I'll stick to Baker's Dozen on Jeff Hwy.

I love these kind of places!!…read more I'd rather eat here than Commanders Palace any day of the week! Hole in the wall vibes, owner posted up behind the register taking cash and running things. Little ladies in the kitchen pumping out that New Orleans food vibe. I came with a partner of mine who is local. He wasn't sure about my affinity with these kind of joints. He told me Koz's whole story. How he started working in the city for someone else and ended up owning the place when she retired. That spot was destroyed by Katrina and this spot was born from that loss. My boy seemed to know everyone that came in and out so that was cool to feel almost like a local. I had white beans and rice, with a two piece dark fried chicken. It was cheap and absolutely delicious. I had never had white beans with rice before and I will be damned if that wasn't some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. White beans were said to be spiced exactly as the Red Beans, but I'm not so sure about that. I just picked up NOLA as a part of my work territory so there will be way many more experiences to come from the Big Easy. The more time I spend here, the more I am convinced it's unlike anywhere else in the US, maybe the world. I am becoming a big fan of the culture, but the streets can completely kiss my ass! It's like driving on the moon! Craters everywhere! Anyway. I am sure I will find my way back here eventually. '26 - 104
