Took some Donuts to my friends and they absolutely love them. I got an egg chesse and bacon biscuit and it was great. I will be back!

If I were a new customer, I wouldn't get too caught up in the beginning of the restaurant name. The actual donuts that they sell are decent, but what stood out to my taste buds the most were the cheeseburger sliders paired with the waffle cheese fries. The slider consists of American cheese, b&b pickles and slider sauce on a Black Angus beef patty. The waffle cheese fries are made with a homemade cheese sauce with cheddar, American, and havarti cheese topped with candied jalepenos. If that doesn't get your mouth watering, then I'm not sure what will. With all of that and even just the donuts, it can get pretty pricey. The ambiance is friendly/open and the venue is modern and hipster-esque, so to speak. They also have a bunch of taps that you'd think have beer, hence the "brew" in the restaurant name, but in fact, they do not sell beer at all. Instead, they actually only have cold brews and nitro cold brews (very concentrated coffee) on tap/draft. District Donuts has a family friendly atmosphere. Every time I visit, I see at least one entire family gathering together and enjoying themselves on any given Sunday. read more

The Elmwood employees are rude and have zero knowledge about the menu items. I just bought breakfast to-go there after a long night shift and was looking forward to visiting because I love the Baton Rouge location. However the staff has permanently ruined this place for me, they were awful. The girl who took my order looked at me like I was crazy when I asked what a French toast biscuit was. She just motioned to a pan that was physically impossible for me to see from the other side of the counter. I had to ask her pointed questions to get any sort of description i.e. "is it sweet, is it sugary?" Then after ordering two items, my total was a little over $20, so I gave her $40 and she gave me the other $20 back dismissing the cents I owed, which was fine but I wanted change to tip. She acted as if it was a chore to actually make my change, yet I still tipped 20% afterwards. Then I pick up my food and say thank you loudly to the staff and every staff member ignored me even though they weren't busy, only one other customer in the building that already had food. I thought maybe they didn't hear me, so I reiterated politely "I said thank you" as I was leaving, to which one of the girls in the kitchen started immediately YELLING at me "don't come up in here and talk to me that way." I literally just said thank you. I am so turned off by this series of interactions, from the horrible attitude of the staff to their obvious lack of knowledge for the menu, I never want to go there again. If I wasn't exhausted and adverse to being yelled at, I would have asked for a refund and returned the food. I love the other locations and it's a shame that the current staff has ruined that. They will probably run off other customers too. Yuck. Never again. read more

I visited the Elmwood location this past Saturday evening and ordered a cheeseburger slider, chicken slider and cheese fries. The burger was raw and the quality of the chicken was terrible (rubbery and inexplainable). I only took one bite of each and basically had to get full off of the cheese fries. They were nothing to write home about, but they served their purpose. We sat outside, so an employee came to pick up our trays and asked if I was sure that he could take mine away. I told him the burger was raw and he said he would let them know. We stayed at the table at least another 30 minutes but no one came back to resolve the issue. I'm extremely disappointed that I wasted $7 on those terrible sliders. Now on to the donuts. I've previously tried them and they are terrible too. They are huge, but taste like bland bread. There is no sweetness or flavor in the donut itself. Do not be fooled by the toppings on the outside. I do not understand how this place does so well. Overall, it's gross! read more

I was completely displeased with my early morning experience with this establishment. The guy at the register was unfriendly and rude. I am not familiar with their menu but my coworker purchased some tasty pasties from here which sparked my interest to do the same. Unfortunately, the guy the register was no help and frankly acted if I was a bother. I immediately spoke to the manager Zach who also was not the best at customer service. I got the German chocolate donut. That was amazing. Also ordered a bulgogi slider, very savory. It was good. The slight char on the meat was excellent and the onions added a nice texture to it, could've been cooked a little longer. Just missing that slight sweet taste to it that bulgogi should have. Best cold brew ever and food is always delicious any time of day! Staff is by far one of the most friendly and helpful anywhere!

I ordered a LARGE ice coffee. To my amazement, I got 80% ICE, 10% COFFEE, 5% CREAM and 5% SUGAR in an 8 ounce cup. The doughnuts taste like stale rolls picked out of the refrigerator three weeks after thanksgiving. And the staff is slooooooooooow! My husband and I moved to the area 6 months ago and being a vegetarian, I was really interested in District's veggie burger. IT IS ONE OF THE BEST VEGGIE BURGERS I'VE EVER HAD!! I've had the burger at like 5 times and it's soo good. It's not a generic patty that they just heat up on the grill. It's homemade with all kinds of veggies, and topped with the best toppings and buns. It's amazing. I had one tonight and had to finally write a review! I love this place! For espresso lovers this is the best spot in the area! They are serving Stumptown roasters, it is some of the best in the country!

love the staff and the food is what's expected - pretty good. sliders are awesome and the menu allows for you to try things in combination. only issue - they never have what I want. although it's on the menu and in the display - they are always "out of" something - or atleast the last 3 times i've went. didn't matter the time of day either it seems. unfortunately it's always the staples like regular glazed or the bomb ass cookies... smh. i'll give it another go but next time i have to settle for option 3 i think i'll go elesewhere. read more

First time trying this place, although the donuts look amazing the sliders are a little lackluster at best. Cheapest slider is 3.25 and at that price point I think is a little expensive for what you get. I doubt I would be returning to spend 12 bucks for half-baked lunch. read more

My girl and I were excited to come have lunch here, as it was definitely someplace we try out. Having never heard of District before, then finding out this was an extension of a popular Magazine St. eatery, we had high hopes. Wow were we wrong. We walked in to what appeared to be a fun friendly atmosphere, until we had to order our food. The people working here were cordial, but flat. Not very friendly or inviting. We placed our order, 3 sliders 2 orders of fries and 2 drinks. After the $28 shocker we paid, we waited. At some point we got up and asked about our food, because the party of 8 behind us had received there food. We were told the party of 8 behind us had a smaller order and we had to wait. When we finally received our food 2 chicken sliders a cheese burger slider and fries. The chicken was soggy and tasteless. The jalapeño on the coleslaw, that you slop on top of the already soggy chicken is just unnecessary. It makes it worse. The tiny ladle of watery cheese that goes on the cheese fries is nasty, and you should probably address that as well. My girl however did say her cheeseburger slider was fantastic. Overall, this place is waaaaaaaay overpriced, the food is mediocre, and the service is flat. Don't waste your time or money, go to Tastee instead. People who own and employees of District, please just go back to new Orleans where people don't mind paying outrageous prices for mediocre food, served with an attitude, because here in Harahan you're big city whining entitled bull isn't looked upon favorably. If you last a year here I'd be amazed. We'll never be back and will surely be spreading the word on every social mm edit outlet we can find. read more

First visit and it was a nice lunch experience. I had a cheeseburger slider which tasted homemade...very fine. Unfortunately the roast beef slider was almost too salty to eat. Definitely needs work. My friends and I were looking for a place to grab a quick bite before heading out and we tried this little place located in Elmwood's strip mall. The vibe was a chillax environment. We ordered some chicken and beef sliders (it was a bit smaller than we expected), and I should of gotten more than one because it was freakin' delicious. Of course when you're in the district donut you have to get DONUTS. My husband and I shared a boston creme and a nutella donut. The boston was the best donut I've ever had, it was perfection. The nutella donut was nice and soft and pillowy... Overall the experience was good, the pricing was a bit more expensive for the portion size but it was really yummy. So... my girlfriend,having very recently had major surgery, can't leave the house for a while. She texted me at work, and asked if I would pick up some Sliders from District Donuts on the way home. I, of course, said that I would. So I get to District (the Elmwood location) and I place the order. The cashier is friendly, everything's going great. There weren't a lot of customers in the restaurant, and two other employees approach me and strike up a conversation. They ask if it's my first time at District. I said "No, I've been a few times. In fact, I came in Sunday, hoping you guys would have the Sriracha Maple donuts. You didn't. I love those things." As the conversation continues, one of the guys walks to the back. My order is ready a few minutes later. I take the bags, and as I'm heading for the door, the guy returns and says "Wait, hold on..." He proceeds to hand me a box. He says "Here's two maple sriracha donuts. I apologize, we're out of candied Thyme, so they're kind of plain." I asked him how much for the donuts, and he looked at me like I was crazy and said "Oh, no charge. Have a great night!" Customer service is so important. Whether you go with a traditional donut, or one of their more flavorful variations, you can't go wrong. Their donuts are delicious, there's simply nothing else to say. The staff is always friendly, and no matter how long the line, service is rather quick.
