    Blackened Shrimp Wrap

I have always liked this place but I don't like the attitude of the lady who was taking orders. If we are telling you hold on that we are still looking why are you rushing you close at 3. I was wondering what I wanted and crazy thing is recommended this place to my partner so for the first impression it sucked. She wasn't at the window though when I went to get the order.

Order the breakfast croissant and a cappuccino. Both were great! Bacon was crisp! Bread was fresh! I even got a little coupon for my next visit. It's such a nice clean looking establishment. Would definitely visit again if I were in the area!

Called ahead my order. Was ready with in 12 mins Tried the Belgium waffle with banana foster on the side. Delicious. Perfectly sweet ! Also enjoyed the avocado BLT wrapped in spinach. Which I preferred over the hash brown wrap. Loved the BLT. Bacon was crunchy salty and right amount of garlic aioli. I enjoyed it more than the hash brown wrap. Wish the hash brown was crispy. I will be back to check out lunch menu! Also thumbs up for the drive through!

Cute spot like a cafe coffee bar. Very clean and modern looking. Looks like a new buildout. I had an omelet with cheese, ham, onions, and spinach with toast. My wife had the hash bowl loaded. She really enjoyed it and wants to go back. Service was not bad.

Love the food & drinks but frankly - this was $23.33 not the kind of cafe you can afford to come to 3x a week. So sad because their frozens give you a good morning jump!

This was my first time at perks and it was great. Inside was super clean and everyone who works there was very friendly. The food was just very good and for a very good price, you will probably need some salt, pepper, and hot sauce because it is pretty plain jane. The grits were actually some of the best I've ever had they weren't chunky or too watery, they were a perfect consistency and tasted buttery as well. I can't say anything about their coffee, but my friend got an iced coffee and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was.

Terrible onion soup! Tasted likes lemons. Eggs were over cooked and service was slow.

This was our first time here. We found it on Yelp & relied on the rating & it did not disappoint. The place is super cute, very clean, friendly staff & the food/coffee were great! We're adding this to our favorite spots when we visit New Orleans/Metairie again!

Perks Coffee & Cafe: avocado toast on wheat + latte
    Crystal W.

It's cute & quaint. The customer service purely lacks the essence and I interacted with three different employees. The one that was kind and memorable is the darkest haired Hispanic/Latin woman. Ordered an avocado on wheat toast and an almond milk vanilla latte to dine in totaling close to $11. Out comes my order and ridiculously it's one slice of bread, a heapful of avocado, two tomatoes. It was incredibly salty but after my long flight I was starving and ate anyhow. The latte is especially nice. The right foam consistency that I look for in a latte. I went to the register and mentioned that for future reference in a very happy tone, to turn down the notch with the salt and she nodded and didn't much acknowledge nor apologized! Latte great! Avocado toast - suuuuuuuuuper salty; like their service.

    Salmon toast

I was not expecting to be wowed but boy was I! This place is outstanding for both the food & the friendly service. I ordered the salmon toast and it's truly the best I've ever had. It has tarragon aioli which amazing and the salmon is Smokey & generous. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits but the flavor profile is bright not overly rich because it has goat cheese. These people know what they're doing. If I lived here I'd be here every week until I've tried everything on the menu, then start all over!

The Roma is probably my favorite because it is more savory. The positano was a little sweeter than I expected with the fig jam. I love the fig jam. Both sandwiches were great and you can't go wrong Price is pricey Bread is oily Parking is street and somewhat difficult to find, had to walk 2 blocks Only has about 3 small tables to sit outside, otherwise you're out of luck. I took it to go since there was no seating. Overall, I'd definitely come back. I think half a sandwich per person would suffice instead of a whole next time. It still tasted good after being in the fridge for a day.

The prosciutto was heavenly, the sweetness of the fig spread coupled with the spicy Calabrian chilis is out of this world. Sooo good! Mike had the Pisa. Despite the chicken being a perfectly thin cotoletta (yes, I have been taking Italian lessons for the past year ) it was still moist and crispy. The sauce was wonderful and the mozzarella was melted to form the most delightful sandwich. We had planned to get back over there before we left town but failed to. Alas, another reason to come back to NOLA This place is not an eat in establishment but has 3 tables outside for you to enjoy your sandwiches. The young lady who took our order was friendly and pleasant and one of the owners (the mom) chatted with us. Our experience was wonderful. It reminded us of our visits to sandwich shops in Firenze. Panini deliziosi!

Guys, it was THE BEST CHICKEN SANDWICH I'D EVER HAD. It was lava hot, juicy, and greasy. It was also absolutely delicious. I was concerned that the thigh meat was going to taste different. But I could not tell. The fries were crinkle cut, but were seasoned well. Didn't even need ketchup for them. The place is very clean and they had 80s music playing in the background, my favorite decade of music. Not surprising, being an 80s kid. The damage all told, including a tip, was $25. Is it expensive? Yes. Is the quality and quantity of the food commensurate to the price? Also yes. Is it worth the hype? ABSOLUTELY YES. I was also informed there's a Hammond location. I will definitely bring my family there, as it's closer, to try them out as well.

We went to the restaurant in New Orleans (Metairie). It is off Veterans Blvd. It is on the right side as you are driving east. Please be on the lookout. Otherwise, you might pass it by. Tends to spring up and drive by. We almost missed it. This is a fantastic location! Kinda tight and almost missed it. Parking is very limited. If you get discouraged you cannot find a good parking spot. I believe you may park on back street? Do not hold me to that. Worst case, you can always get your order to go. It was our first time. We were curious about and not many restaurants offer fresh made pork cracklings. Usually you have to buy it at a local market or know someone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They briefly went over a few recommendations. We started with of course, order of adobo fresh pork cracklings. Adobo or traditional** crispy pork belly, adobo sauce, topped with garlic peanut rub Southerns Queso burger - 6 oz. beef patty*, pickled jalapeño, queso, beer battered onion ring with order of fries. Tender meal - Choose your spice level. 3 jumbo chicken tenders, fries, and tender sauce. (Mild) Southerns Original Chicken Sandwich - Choose your spice level. Boneless chicken thigh, Yuzu aioli, slaw, housemade pickle. (Mild) I was curious about the Phuket Sauce. So I got an order too. This tastes great! Not spicy at all. Do not let the pepper fool you. It has a little kick but not spicy at all. All are well seasoned. Few of them you can choose your spice level. We all washed down with fountain drinks. They do offer catering services and possibly call ahead ordering. Please reach out to them for options. If you are in the mood for something different but great food. Give them a try if in the area.
