Food is really good and flavourful here. Only feedback is the fish sauce is alittle too sweet. Service is usually really great too. Ambience is okay, nothing above average but clean space and warm inside

Two years young, this modern Vietnamese restaurant has a welcoming feel. There are about 48 seats spread around tables for two's, four's, six's and eight's. Food is plated in a very presentable manner. However, the taste of the dishes were not quite as deep, rounded and authentic. *Vietnamese Mango & Papaya Salad: the balsamic caviar is something new! Dressing a bit too sweet lacking the acid of lime. *Pork Spring Rolls: the filling has a mushier texture, typical of taro as a filler. There's a lack of crunch bite to it. *Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop & Egg: pork chop is not well marinated. We came on a holiday weekend and resto wasn't too busy. We chatted away and they were kind enough for us to stay on.

Came here for a quick bite. Clean and bright space with friendly service. We both really enjoyed the spring rolls!

I love dining at new restaurants. In the true Yelper spirits, I can share another my "don't tell anyone else secret..." -- new restaurant openings always excite me! I am always enticed to check out new chefs, sample new dishes, and try new cuisine specials. So I decided to give this new place a try since brunch plans in the district neighborhood didn't pan out. Here is a review of my 1100am revised meal plan of an early Sunday lunch instead of late brunch. This restaurant has very modern decor for a Pho restaurant. They were playing pop music video on their tv and gives off a chilled ambiance. It was busy on Sunday and almost all tables were taken at the end of the first hour. Have yet to try other menu items, I think they deserve 4 stars for my order of Banh mi (Vietnamese subway) and for great service. I enjoyed the Banh mi - flavors of grilled lemongrass chicken paired well with my iced coffee with condensed milk. I normally prefer the French way of enjoying coffee (in a nice coffee cup or at lease a ceramic mug) but I didn't dislike drinking their coffee in a to go cup this time. I like to order my coffee hot so I can fully embrace the aroma. Yet I enjoy their iced coffee with condensed milk. And I appreciated their excellent choice of recyclable straw, it's not those paper straw that can't last through a drink. Since it only opened last months, not sure if their menu have updated or what has changed since grand opening . Posted my meal's menu for your FYI!

Slightly more polished place than your typical hole in the wall pho place, located in the heart of the River District. They have a vegan pho, which is what prompted me to try the place, but it's priced higher than almost an anywhere in town ($18.25 plus tax), so I expected a lot. My pho came out in about 10 minutes. The pho came with lots of tofu puffs, broccoli, some carrot, shiitakes and white onion, and of course the conventional vermicelli noodles. The tofu wasn't flavoured at all, so it was pretty bland. The broth was gentle: mushroomy, with an ever so slight sweetness -- not oily at all. Pretty pleasant broth and nicely amped up by a chilli paste you can ask for. Overall, decent overpriced pho, which means I probably won't return.

a plate of food and a glass of wine

Picked up the "Vegan Vermicelli Noodles with Five Spice Glaze Tofu & Veggie Spring Roll" for dinner to take home. The container for the food was huge, I didn't think I would get through it all but I ended up licking the dish at the end. Absolutely phenomenal Vietnamese food! The best I've ever had! Will be visiting with family again in the future

Cali girl here *wave* I tried a bunch of different places but couldn't really say any was a favorite. I finally asked my nail tech what her favorite place was and she recommended Pho 37 and she was not wrong. Then I remembered that my nail tech will never leave me astray. I only had to try their pho once to know, THIS IS IT. Then I had to get their Bun Bo Hue, just tomake sure. The triple crown will be their Banh Mi, which I'm excited to try next but so far 5 stars all the way. Best Pho broth and the best Bun Bo Hue that I've found so far in the downtown Vancouver area. I'm sure as you fan outside of the city limits that there are just as good options but I've finally found my go to spot close to work and home after 3 months of living here. A plus plus is the huge portions but I also have to commend the meat to noodle ratio is just perfect. This is a cute little spot on Robson. Don't sleep on this one, ladies and gents. Dine in or dining out, don't forget to ask for the chilli garlic oil and garlic vinegar on the side. These condiments will level up any dish!

The only small issue was that it took a little while before someone came to take my order, and I eventually had to wave someone over. It wasn't a big deal, though, especially considering how busy they were. The portions here are huge, especially for the price. The broth was a little sweeter than I personally prefer, but it was very clean, clear, and flavorful. This is what I look for in a good bowl of pho. The noodles were cooked perfectly and had a nice soft texture. I ordered a combination bowl. My only suggestion would be a bit more of tripe and tendon. The tripe was a little sparse, and I honestly didn't realize I had tendon until I was almost finished with the bowl. But I like those, and not a lot of people do. Despite the restaurant being packed, the staff was stayed attentive, kept food coming out quickly, and did a great job taking care of everyone. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming. There was a nice mix of people. Some quietly watching videos on their phones, others catching up over conversation. It felt like the kind of neighborhood spot that attracts everyone. Overall, this is a convenient, affordable place with good pho and generous portions. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely come back. .

Went in for lunch with my granddaughter, both of us fans of Vietnamese food. Ordered Green Papaya Salad ($12), Lemongrass Chicken on Vermicelli with one spring roll ($17), one lime soda ($6.50) and one pop ($3). Food arrived within minutes of ordering. Portions were very generous. The salad was perfect with everything very fresh, as it should be but often isn't in some places. Plump prawns and the scent and taste of basil was prominent. Delicious! The lemongrass chicken (we ordered extra chicken) with a spring roll was also very generous. We did not finish it between the two of us. Again, all was fresh, tasty and hot. This is one of our standard orders and Pho Goodness did not disappoint. Granddaughter declared it better than at our regular favourite, and Pho Goodness is around the corner from her home and not a bus ride out to Kingsway! Service was friendly and responsive. We asked that the volume be turned off on the massive TV over our heads (which nobody was watching) (it was), requested a glass for the pop and immediately received a tumbler full of ice. Lovely. We have found a new favourite on Davie Street, a true foodie heaven with a collection of independent restaurants of many ethnicities available. We will return to Pho Goodness when the urge for Vietnamese food strikes again.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner one evening and each ordered the aforementioned noodle soup--she got a small ($11.75 plus tax) and I got a regular ($12.75 plus tax). We also got an order of salad rolls ($7.50 plus tax), which comes with 2 rolls. The rolls came quite late. They were pretty standard, coming with fried tofu, vermicelli, and lettuce. The peanut dipping sauce was on the liquidy, salty soy sauce side of things -- I wish it were creamier and less salty. 3/5 The soups were decent. The broth was peppery, with some nice, gentle spices detectable in there. I asked for a side of chili oil, which helped amplify the broth. You get a generous portion of noodles, fried tofu, and vegetables (broccoli, bok choy, carrot). Unfortunately the veggies were quite overcooked -- the broccoli was almost soggy, so were the carrots and bok choy. 3/5 All in all, middle-of-the-road veggie pho. The broth is pleasant. The veggies were overcooked, but plentiful and nicely chosen. Decent place for veggie pho.
