Stopped in for a quick bite. I ordered the rice bowl which had black beans and I added Carnita tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, guacamole, and salsa. This is a casual environment with kiosk, ordering or ordering at the counter. my food came out fresh and hot and the chips were hot too which I love I will visit here again. There is no servers here. I went there yesterday 1/31, and ordered a fish burrito and churros. The burrito insides were not warm and I was a bit suspicious about the food. I tried my luck and ate it. The good, the bad, and the ugly. The good - I got the fish tacos on corn tortillas. First of all they grill the Alaskan pollock - delicious! Whatever combination of fish and cabbage and sauce they put on there is quite yummy. My lunch companion got the chips with queso and guacamole. I'm not a guac person but she said it was delicious. I tried the warm queso - just more yumminess. She also got carne asada tacos with grilled mixed veggies (peppers and onions), cilantro, and cheese and she said they were very good as well. The bad - We disagree about the chips. She thought they were very good, I thought they were okay. The salsa was watery and while it did have a bit of spice, it did not make up for the overall lack of flavor. It seemed like it was frozen and when it thawed they didn't stir it well enough to distribute the flavor. The ugly - their order taking was inconsistent. I ordered chips and salsa. I was handed my bag of chips. My lunch companion ordered chips with queso and guacamole and wasn't handed any chips. She did get them eventually. The ice dispenser wasn't dispensing ice. There was a spoon in a bowl of water and ice to fill your cups. All the same sodas had an odd flavor. I got Root Beer but it tasted like it was mixed with something else. I tried the ginger ale, same thing. My lunch companion did half and half vintage coke and lime juice and said it didn't taste right. She liked the tea much better. The chip bag said large on one side and small on the other. When I ordered a small bag of chips I was told they only had large. But there appeared to be about 20 small bags right behind her. I didn't need that many chips. But who's to say what's a large or small bag when all the chips are in their court? (Pun intended). Also, I ordered three fish tacos but after I got my food and checked my receipt I was charged for the fish taco delight - which I did not order. All-in-all, I would go back. Really quick service but the tacos were just ok. I got the 3 tacos on a flour tortilla ~ Carnitas, Chorizo and Carne Asada. They wrapped all individually and then all in one tinfoil. They weren't really hot temperature wise and not a ton of flavors. I was actually a little disappointed cause it didn't seem like there were a ton of specialty tacos. I visited this place today and order myself some beef tacos and the guy at the cashier "Erick" he was so polite and greet me and took my order and the service an food were awesome and I loved my tacos because they were freshly cooked I'll recommend district taco to my friends and family and I will come back to try out more of there dishes because and one of the things I really love was how peaceful and calm the ambient was. read more

The tacos were sloppily constructed. My fish tacos had one tiny piece of fish only on one end. I asked for flour tortillas but received corn. Amazing find! Customizable menu, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and very clean, are just a few of this place's attributes. Also, they provide catering and give a military discount. The fish tacos are phenomenal with either the corn or flour tortillas and the salad was delicious. They also offer a 3 pack of churros for a little over $3 with each churro bring about 12-13 inches long. As a side note, their soda selection is unique but refreshing. Best Tacos in the area. This walk in, order & sit down eatery has many branches locally in the metropolitan DC area, and this one is one of the better ones. Decor is light industrial but bright and with plenty of sunny seating, with outdoor seating with warm weather. The restaurant is clean, and the service is helpful and courteous with very short wait times. I had the fish tacos, daughter had beef barbacoa tacos and wife had chicken salad burrito sans the wrapper- and all were well seasoned and just the right amount of veggies and sauces. Simply delicious as delivered to our table. Chips are extra, but drink refills are free, and the extra salsa and fixings are free. Guacamole is extra, but fresh and also tasty. Maybe I would've enjoyed District Taco a little more if I hadn't already tried authentic tacos in Miami (and Manassas). They're still pretty decent but I wasn't super blown away. The line moves by fast and you also get your food fairly quick during the lunch rush. I got the 3 for $9 taco deal and they weren't huge but decent sized. They wrap the tacos up in paper and my coworker's tacos were labeled on the outside. Mine weren't so I didn't know which I was eating til I opened it up. I'm so sad. Heard District Taco had shrimp tacos and I was pumped all week. Got there tonight and ordered 3. On the menu it said it came with Cilantro Mayo. I absolutely detest cilantro so I asked for the Chipotle Mayo that came on the fish tacos. Not available which I totally understand. I explain I hate cilantro and I ask for it without. Get the tacos and check it out with excitement. Absolutely loaded with cilantro. I take it to the counter to explain the mishap and the manager just looks at it and shakes her head. "That's not cilantro mayo, that's the cabbage." Okay... not my idea of great customer service but understand if I'm wrong and it wasn't on the taco. That said, wouldn't you mention as a cashier that even if you hold the Mayo it will still come loaded with the soap tasting green stuff?! (Sorry to all you cilantro lovers out there) I'm not one to argue back or make a scene so I decided to get over it and scrape what I could off. I placed an online order for 3 people. A quesadilla and 2 burritos. Now, let me get this out of the way: it was for delivery and they use DoorDash. I had zero problems with my delivery. He was pleasant and as personable as possible (we wearing masks still because well Covid). I tipped the delivery guy for his services. And off he went. Now back to my order. It arrived cold, undercooked and unmarked. 2 burritos. Identical except one was chicken and the other carne asada. Now, it's a whole pandemic situation. Who wants to unwrap and unwrap a burrito to determine whom gets which? I know I don't want it after someone else unwrapped it and looked at it to see if it was theirs. From the outside they're identical. Unmarked. District Taco, do better. I had ingredients missing and the rice was hard and undercooked. Again, District Taco, I'm gon need y'all to do better. Now, I have eaten at this particular location a few times prior. The first time I was underwhelmed and fell in hate with the place. I didn't return for years. The second time was a month or so ago. A date chose it and in the interest of getting along, I went. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was pretty good. Now fast forward to this most recent disappointment...again DISTRICT TACO...I'm going to need you to do better and consistently so. At this point, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. I'm highly upset...for the last few months they've been getting my orders completely wrong and I can't exactly go back because I don't live in the immediate area. That's it. I ordered a chicken 6 chicken tacos and none of them had chicken...wth...then I ordered chicken with rice in my nachos and got steak..veggies and a dab of cheese. The worst attention to details. Good prices, great tacos, craft soda fountain drinks and lot of salsas to choose from. I was feeling adventurous when I went and got the bowl with eggs, rice, beans and meat. It wasn't my favorite and I'd probably stick with tacos if I went back. Also the menu listed the lettuce as "on the side". When my order came out, it was definitely right on top of my bowl. I told them it said on the side on their menu and they did little to address it, acting very confused, so I just ate it. Also I highly recommend the queso here! Yum! I used to go to the original District Taco restaurant before it became a big chain restaurant. This was almost like 10 years ago. I ordered online for delivery this time. The site is very easy to navigate through and we ordered bunch of tacos. I like the option to add rice, veggie and beans even for tacos! Free adding these toppings, they became very filling tacos! I had carne asada and fish as main. Both were delicious! Oh also their guacamole is a real deal. One of the best I ever had! I will order more often now! read more

Had my first District Taco experience and was pleasantly surprised! I got a barbacoa burrito and my wife got three tacos al pastor. I enjoyed the burrito, I loved how there were noticeable differences from other chains like Chipotle. Topping were generous, like a heaping quantity of both cilantro and pineapple on the tacos. The guacamole was just ok. I also enjoyed access to the salsa bar, though the spice level is pretty weak so err on the side of going hotter than you think you might otherwise tolerate. Finally, they're here! The space inside is clean and bright. There seems to be enough parking, but I visited during lunch on a Wednesday. I'm not sure how packed the lot gets because they're sharing with a Buffalo Wild Wings and a Panera-to-go. We had tacos, nachos and quesadillas - everything was fresh and delicious. Amazing place. It was my first time going to a District Taco restaurant. We wanted to try chicken taco and fish taco so we ordered one fish and two chicken tacos. A misunderstanding happened and as a result we got four chicken tacos and two fish tacos. I realized that we got charged doubled because we ordered doubled. I went to cashier and asked him to help return the extra part of the order. The manager came to us and he helped to get refund and even gave us tacos. Anyways, at the end we got charged for 2 chicken and 1 fish taco, however, we got 4 chicken and 2 fish tacos. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone and will come back again. read more
