    Soupy mariscada

A 3.5 at best. Our "mariscada," apparently their version of a paella, had lots of broth, 3 shrimp, 2 mussels, 2 clams, and 1 scallops, cut in half. Did I mention it had LOTS of broth? Service was OK, though they started cleaning our table BEFORE we were finished. Chips and salsa were small portions of both. Ambience was simple taqueria. Overall, not a good value. We WON'T be back!

Nachos: i have never encountered a "build your own nacho" situation. Frankly, this gave me a taste of my own medicine. I rummage around town for platters of nachos to critique, and on this day, the tables had turned. If I didn't like my nacho chip, it wasn't on anyone but me. I hate to admit it, but perhaps this is exactly what someone like me needs. Someone who straddles a Type A and a Type B personality. Someone who likes the mess, but is selective about how the mess should appear, or in this instance, taste. I enjoyed building my own nachos. I'd take this any day over the disgraceful nachos I've had at other places. All else: honestly, it was quite relaxing and entertaining to kick back and watch sports on 4 different screens at once. With all the media I consume at once on a daily basis, I feel I'd be immune to electric shock therapy. My brain's gone numb from all the bloody screens, but I enjoyed watching the football games. I say football and I urge you to as well, as it is the sport where the ball is kicked by the foot, and not thrown in the air to be chased by broad shouldered men. Anywho, staff were lovely & attentive. I was having a nice time til the music started blaring. That was my cue to leave.

An order of nachos for 16.95 for 8 pieces of nachos No thanks Bad review for me I haven't even gotten my full order just at appetizer Unfortunately won't be coming back

Cincoooo De Mayo celebration!!! Was a miss as they were overwhelmed it seemed. There was a wait for a table but there were plenty of open tables available. The service was the most friendly and very appreciative of that but the food just took way too long. The kitchen seemed very backed up and for our appetizers it took 45 minutes. Besides that hiccup, the food was delicious and tasty! The green sauce was very good and had to be asked for separately. The ambiance was fun and a great place to hang out with friends and family on a Friday after a long week of work. Will be back...maybe just at another time when the occasion is slower. Enjoy!

Each order comes as one large deboned piece of meat, which is then cut into bite-sized pieces--easy to eat by hand or with a fork. They're available in a variety of flavors. I ordered them dry and got several sauces on the side to mix things up. Highly recommend. Seating - The restaurant has a surprising amount of seating. There's just as much indoor seating as there is outdoor, and possibly even more inside thanks to the bar and high-top tables. It's a great spot to start your night, end your night, or enjoy happy hour with friends after work. Service - For a bar, I thought the service was really good. Multiple waiters checked in on us, and we never had to wait for water or anything else. The recommendations they gave were great, and they stayed attentive throughout the night--even though it was moderately busy when we went. Pro tip: Be prepared to sit inside if you're hoping for a meaningful conversation--the street noise outside is quite loud. Between the main thoroughfare and the neighboring restaurants in the same alcove, it can get pretty noisy. If you value good conversation, you'll definitely want to opt for indoor seating. Pro tip: There isn't much parking in the area, so give yourself an extra 5-10 minutes when planning your visit.

The bar tender was very helpful and friendly and let us sample some of the options. The pineapple mango sour was ok, but more of a fruit cocktail than a beer. There is a lot of seating and space inside with several different rooms, including an arcade room. We didn't try the food there this time, but might on a visit later.

The environment was an open industrial space with a low-key vibe (at least at this time). A handful of regulars were posted up at the bar. They had sports on the TVs in front and on the big screen in the back. There's a stack of board games in the corner. For the couple times I've been here, the bartender has always been very informative, walking me through the beers on tap without my asking. The beer list is solid, and I had to try the Raspberry Beret imperial stout - the flavor was unique and the raspberry very notable. If you're feeling brave, ask about the Sweet Scoville Sting. Seriously spicy, so make sure you taste it before committing. Beyond beer, there's wine, ready-to-drink margaritas and cocktails, and a robust food menu so something for everyone.

They also always have NA root beer, and ciders on tap for gluten-free folks or those who just don't like beer. You can get a crowler (can) or growler to-go of any beer on tap at any time. They also have two large coolers of canned beer, ciders, NA beer, NA beverages, and more that you can take with your or enjoy on site. There is a 40% discount for 6+ beers to go. This place has a large and established regular scene. They also have a Mug Club membership which gets you more beer per pour and some other perks. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are welcome outside. There's also several TVs for sports, and a ton of board and card games you can play. Jeff does a stellar job every Tuesday with trivia. There are themed trivia nights (Disney, Harry Potter, Marvel, etc.) sometimes that tend to get PACKED. So if you're planning to go, plan ahead and go early. The kitchen staff rock and are efficient at getting food out quickly. Everything is cooked in an oven. The pretzel and beer cheese is very popular and yummy. The food overall is average, but Darren does a good job of rotating specials throughout the year. Some of my personal favorite items (note some are specials) : Philly cheesesteak eggrolls, BBQ chicken nachos, German brat, CBR flatbread + drunken onions and peppers, the Apple pie quesadilla and the Elvis dilla. If you're looking for an amazing sit down dinner, this probably isn't your spot. But if you're looking for a great beer selection, awesome people, and a bite to eat this is definitely for you! The staff are all friendly and knowledgeable on beer. A few of them have the level 1 Cicerone certification. Admittedly, I bartended here for a year and just recently left due to moving. I frequented this place before I started working and I will return from time to time now as a customer. This is my honest feedback.

Skipping a lot of frustrating banter with the woman at the register, who I hope has an excuse like it was her first day... The beer list was good, the pours were nice, temp was a little colder than room temperature, which I'm fine with but some people don't love it. The food was just ok, with the tots being the clear winner. I would go back for the beer (they have "to-go" in addition to draft) and it seemed like the bartender was friendly if you were sitting at the bar. The biergarten has ample canopy seating with long benches and tabletops, perfect for groups! You can't make reservations. They have a strict policy of no outside food or drinks. The ambiance is very casual and there's no table service. Rather than ordering through a QR code, place your order at the bar and then you'll get a text alert when the food is ready for pick-up at the long table closest to the bar. The line is always pretty short and you can get a drink within 5-10 min, the food takes longer and even up to 1/2 hour for fries. I would stick to the beer on draft, the cocktails can be hit/miss depending on the bartender, the draft drinks tend to have better consistency. The Wildberry Mule cocktail and Pina Colada Sangria and Peach Seltzer on draft were my picks while the Bourbon Smash, Passionfruit Mojito, Pina Colada Mojito, and the Passionfruit Seltzer were misses. On the flip side, the bartenders poured a generous amount of Prosecco for Mimosas, much appreciated! The bottled Angry Orchard apple cider is generally my go-to. There's always a mocktail on the menu (came in handy when I was pregnant!) The new battered fries are so much better than last year! The menu is limited with simple bar food (bbq pulled pork sandwich, burger, grilled cheese, hot dog, fries, kettle chips). Wish there were more vegetarian options like charcuterie board, hummus and crackers, nachos, mac and cheese, etc. While I give credit for having a Veggie Burger on the menu, it's sad and disappointing. It has a very smoky meaty flavor (from the grill, not the patty) with lackluster toppings - the vegan cheese is disgusting. I would swap out the kettle chips and pay the upcharge for fries. The doughy pretzel sticks are quite salty and a step up from the movie theater. They are good for absorbing the alcohol! Despite these minor complaints, I love coming here with family and fries. So glad The Perch opened up, Starr Hill Biergarten is a great spot to kick back and relax with a beer or 2!
