The quality of the BBQ chicken panini was not up to par. Could have been a new cook who didn't prepare and cook it properly or the quality of chicken was poor. Additionally, the large citrus salad was a giant bowl of lettuce. Needed a search party to find any cheese, pecans and cranberries in there! Very poor for the price. Not one pecan or crumble of cheese was on top of the lettuce and it wasn't all underneath either. Just lacking. Also for a small salad, the waitress said she served Greek vinaigrette, but after dressing the salad, I discovered that it was Italian. When I pointed this out. She said it was Greek dressing; I asked her to taste it, but then returned to the table with the real Greek vinaigrette dressing, but no salad....too much trouble to argue about salad. Purchased a Local Flavor voucher through Groupon. Read many reviews where some stated that the prices are too expensive but using the voucher beings the prices more in line. Anyhow, food was not amazing but it was really good. Started with the hummus appetizer which was very tasty. I ordered a side Italian salad which was big. Ordered the 12" pepperoni pizza which is 6 slices and thin crust (definitely not NY style but good). My BFF said his chicken parm was decent. Was wanting a glass of red wine but no alcohol is sold here (could tell it wasn't that type of place as Christian music was playing). Our server provided excellent service and was genuinely kind and efficient. She also kept checking up on us. read more

If we were able to give 1/2 stars I would give 3 and 1/2. What really pushed it from 4 stars is the price. We ordered the spinach dip, fettuccini pasta with chicken and broccoli and chicken basil pesto panini. The sandwich was okay but under seasoned. The spinach dip was delicious but we had no idea adding cheese to the bread was $3! The pasta was good but could have been a little more creamy and the broccoli a little less mushy. The service was good although we could hear conversations coming from the kitchen/servers that probably shouldn't be heard by customers. Overall, I would come back again, but choose more wisely. read more

We enjoy our visits here. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. It's always clean and orderly which are important factors for us. We have tried many menu items and haven't been disappointed yet! Oh yum. I'm glad Re suggested this is as our family dinner last night. Because it was very tasty. We were a big group so we got a variety of items. I really liked my tuna sandwich (cooked rare); my piece of tuna was lovely and really big ... I'm eating the last 1/3 for my lunch today and it came with a small salad so yum! Katie loved her burger so much that it was GONE. I got to sit next to John (and watching a 14 year old inhale pepperoni pizza like a machine was an impressive sight) and his pizza and his dad's looked delish. Others got a meatball sandwich, a steak sandwich and a calzone. Everyone enjoyed their food and had zero room for dessert. Did I mention that the menu is HUGE! I was impressed by the size and cleanliness of the restaurant. And our server was very sweet and it was her first day! I felt bad that she had to put up with our silliness. She did a great job and asked about refills and boxes and whatnot. They do not have a liquor license but you can bring your own. And my iced tea was fresh brewed and tasty because y'all know I'm a tea snob. I'll have to go back and try the spinach calzone after hearing Re rave about it... oh and that cranberry salad. I have been coming here for at least the last 6 years. I love coming here for a delicious, no fuss meal. The decor is very plain and there isn't much to the inside, but don't let that fool you. The service is always good. I love their wings and the lasagna is my go to. The spaghetti and alfredo are both delicious as well but I just can't resist the lasagna. I really had high hopes for my calzone, but that bubble was burst. The calzone was soggy, couldn't even pick it up and the marinara was watery. I decided to suck it up and deal with it since it was a pick up order, well a few bites in, I bit into a bone sliver, almost lost my cookies at that point. I had to come back and edit at end of day. But, about 30 minutes after posting original review, I started getting the bubble guts. I had to keep blowing up the bathroom at work the rest of the day. Luckily, we have more than one bathroom so no one had to endure the aftermath. However, I fear for when I get home, only one bathroom there, my husband may have to wear a mask or suffer. read more

The staff were super friendly but sadly, we found it to be a mistake when we ordered two items. While the toppings on the Lotsa Meat pizza where fresh and of good quality, the pizza it self was under cooked and lacking flavorful sauce. We also ordered the Garlic Knots. So the first time I ordered from Ditali's via Postmatws, it was awesome! The second time, which is today, I'm pissed. I ordered a Lotsa Pizza, Zeppolas, Crab Cakes, Parmesan Funduta Fries, and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Pizza was never packed with the order. Crabcakes were small - like the size of my 4 yr old's hand, and the spaghetti was all curved to the front section of the to go plate. Now I understand that the costs of certain ingregredients is rising, thus the cost of the food and order rise as well But for what I spent and what I was missing, it just doesn't add up. I live on base, so right there I have to meet the delivery person at the gate. But it goes to show you never know who is ordering. Everything else with the order is fine. Postmates gave me a credit of $19 for the pizza. I would like to see that back in my account and cancel my account with Postmates instead. Yes I sent them two comments as well. read more

Walked in to order. The menu prices are way different than what's on their website. I was greeted and placed my order. Brought to their attention price difference but the 2 gals really didn't care. The front end seemed to lack leadership/manager type person. Looked like some regulars came in and the 2 gals working the front seemed to care more about jawjacking than waiting tables and had a nonchalant attitude. The restaurant was plain Jane for decoration and was a little dirty. While it took about 10 minutes to cook, it lacked flavor. I ordered the lotsa meat pizza. Was it worth the 10 minutes and $18, eh. Would I go back, eh. Do I recommend, eh. Add more garlic and it might sway me. Overall it was just mediocre. read more

Found that Ditali's price point is not in line with the food, restaurant ambiance and service One can do better with superior food, service and ambiance at other Italian restaurant for example: Mandinas (Gretna) at same price point. My husband and I love coming here! Brittany is our favorite waitress and we love talking and joking with her. Always had great service and the food is delicious. I worked across the street from this restaurant for 4 years and mostly ordered takeout, but recently went and sat down for lunch. I really enjoyed the food. Their chicken Parmesan sandwich is super good. It has just the right amount of sauce and the chicken is crispy. I also like their fries; they are thinner and crispier, which is something I don't see a lot of anymore and kind of liked. My friend and I split the crab cakes and a small chicken pizza. The crab cakes came with fettuccine and it was creamy and delicious. The pizza was AWESOME. Spicy, and the cheese was gooey and melted to perfection. Our service wasn't spectacular, but it wasn't terrible. We were the only table in there and had to flag down our waitress twice. She was nice though and even split our checks, which some servers get annoyed about. All in all, I would give this place a shot. It's definitely not your typical pizza joint. read more

If I could give this place less than 0 stars I would. I am all for supporting small businesses especially family owned, but this place is a disgrace. I called in for carry-out and from the very beginning I knew this wasn't going to be good just by the lady's attitude on the phone. She sounded like she didn't want to be there, didn't know the allergen information on the sauces, basically very rude tone from the very beginning. I told her my order, 9inch, traditional ny style, homemade pizza sauce ( i specifically asked if it had dairy in it because some do use dairy in it and she asked to make sure and said no) and some veggies. (keep this in mind for later) Me, being that I wanted to give this place a chance, I let it go and drove 15 minutes later to pick up the pizza. I get there and I wasn't greeted at all even though she was standing right in front of me and even looked at me and just asked "you're here to pick up?" I said yes and she went to go grab my order. I opened the box and long & behold there is cheese on the pizza. I told her I never said I wanted cheese on my pizza and she had the audacity to correct me and say that she took my order correctly on her piece of paper. I told her why would I ask for cheese pizza if i previously stated that I was lactose intolerant and even asked for clarification on the pizza sauce allergens. There was no pizza sauce at all on my pizza, just veggies and cheese. So I had to wait ALL over again for my order to be remade. 15 minutes later, I open my pizza box and there is still no pizza sauce on my pizza, instead there's BASIL PESTO. How they interpreted homemade pizza sauce to basil pesto, is just mind boggling. All three of the workers were just staring at me as if I was speaking another language, as if they did NOTHING WRONG. Not only did they not follow directions, but I really don't understand how you can work in the service industry, taking people's orders incorrectly, not once but TWICE. And to top it all off, their rudeness just put me off completely. Safe to say I will not be returning and will tell everyone I know not to visit this place. Spend your money elsewhere. The pizza was bland, nothing special about it at all. You get better service at Pizza Hut. read more
