    Pepperoni pizza slice

If you're looking for that perfect Northeast-style thin crust that actually holds its structure and has that ideal undercarriage char, Zee's completely nails it. The pepperoni gets those perfect crispy, curled edges, and the sauce isn't overly sweet. Grab a slice or a whole pie. This place is easily sitting at the top of the New Orleans pizza conversation right now. Excellent neighborhood vibe and fast service.

I don't know who rated this spot 4 or 5 stars but it couldn't have been for taste! I'm so glad we only ordered a few slices because this was a major disappointment. The slices were very small and lacked flavor, taste AND presentation. I only gave it two stars because the atmosphere was good. I will NOT visit this place again. Responding to the business owner Zander...Well since you asked..Real pizza is mainly located up north (New York, Philadelphia, etc.) however, I've had pizza in the south that was delicious but yours wasn't. It was dry and it lacked flavor. Accept the criticism and do better.

Zee's Pizza is VERY popular with a LOT of folks and I think it is good pizza. I've only had the slices and I find the pizza to be pretty basic without enough options for my taste. The ambiance of the space is decent enough and the service is mainly just counter service. I like the crust, the sauce and the cheese but the lack of other toppings is a big disappointment to me. The garlic knots are also good but after trying them a few times I don't find that I ever really crave them. Overall it is a decent spot to get a slice or a whole pie as long as you don't want a good selection of topping options. I've only visited a handful of times as I like a much more robust selection of toppings.

This place was so cozy and the employees were awesome! We got the red top and white pie and they were both fresh and amazing. The red top had a flavorful red sauce and tasty basil. The white pie was amazing (make sure to ask for hot honey to take it to the next level!!!l Would recommend if you're in the area :)

Excellent pizza. Not floppy at all. Good char on the bottom. Fresh, tangy sauce. The basil is on point. Only problem is it's so good I had to come back again later at night. Woke up today craving more. This may become an addiction! Restaurant has a nice, hipster vibe. Decent selection of canned soda and canned and bottled beers. Happy hour (25% of slices and all drinks) Wednesday-Friday from 2-4 pm? Nice. Best pie I've had in NOLA.

Heard great things about Zee's so decided to give the a shot while I was in town. Right when you walk in, the atmosphere feels exactly how a pizzeria should feel. Owner was super helpful in describing each of their pizzas. Ultimately went for the Buffalo Chicken slice and Pepperoni. It was so good we ended up ordering a whole one to go. To our surprise, we ended up getting a second whole pizza for free because they adding the wrong toppings to a different order. Next time you're in town, you MUST give Zee's a try!

The Dylan may be the best pizza I have ever tasted. The Dylan (red sauce, mozz, fresh mozz, onion and sausage for $23 a pie) has the perfect chew to the slightly charred NY-style crust, an ever so sweet sauce to balance the salty toppings and the sausage was quality and spaced just right. We were in town for a couple weeks and we ordered here weekly, trying out all of their pizza's. The Dylan was hands down the winner. Zee's, this review is short and sweet, but dang you are killing it.

Bomb crispy crunchy airy pizza. Cool spot. Quick and friendly. Simple but delicious menu. Toppings also include hot honey and garlic herb butter.

Great pizza, quick service. The building was easily accessible and cozy. My family definitely enjoyed our food to the point where I forgot to take pics of the food lol. But the BYE FELICIA..... 10/10....highly recommend.

Uptown pizza spot that sells pizza by the slice, but the down side is that they don't sell plain cheese pizza by the slice. Strange, right? Anyways, they do have pepperoni and margherita ("red top")pizza by the slice. Today, they also had the farmer pizza, which was a speciality vegetarian pizza. I tried one red top and one margherita. The pizza is New York style--thin, large slices. Very delicious. I waited about five minutes to receive my pizza after ordering. It's a small space with limited, indoor seating only. Also, there's only street parking.

Over the past decade New Orleans has become a big pizza city. Zees may be the best of them all. The pepperoni sausage Bambino Pizza is so fire. The ricotta mozzarella combo with the onions, it was meant to be! From the crust, to the sauce and the fixins, it's tough to beat Zee's. And they play late 90s pop bangers all day long. Fun spot, top notch .

This was an absolute shock to me and possibly the best find of this trip. I had great oysters, excellent po boys, a cool steakhouse concept, killer sausages, and nothing could prepare me for this. We found NYC style pizza in New Orleans!!! What??? Opening the door to Zee's Pizzeria I knew immediately that it was going to be good. The scent that smacks you in the face was the pizzeria's of my youth. To say I was surprised would be an extreme understatement. The girl who helped us at the counter was very friendly and so was the guy who brought the pizza to the table. Cool little shop with old signs and stuff from around the area. Pepperoni Pizza was in the ballpark of $21 and a Peroni was $5. I was perfectly okay with both prices for what we got. The peroni was ice cold and had zero detection of skunk city (I get concerned with green bottled beers sometimes) and this pizza was just ... wow. The crust was crispy and delicious. The sauce was not overly sweet and it had a good amount of it. The cheese was tasty, and they tossed a little Parmesan over top of the pepperoni. This was seriously such a find. I saw they do pies with ricotta dallops and other fun toppings so I'm certain to go back next trip and try those out. Needless to say - Zee's Pizzeria - Didn't Suck! Very tasty, fast service and busy. We went on a Wednesday night, would visit again. One pizza was enough for 4 adults.

Love the garlic knots! Pizza is good, too, for the most part. But make sure you tell them not to burn it.

Ask the Community - Zee’s Pizzeria

What is the sauce like??? Is it sweet??? Sweet is to much of a regular thing out here in new orleans... and also the use of cooked sauce , thats a major no no in the pizza business?

Sauce is tangy/just right -- not sweet. I hate sweet pizza sauce. I call that "sugarizza"

    Is online or delivery open?

No- only dine in or call to take out

Was a very busy night and we walked in for a party of 7. I understand that it's crowded and busy,…read moreso we were very patient and respectful. We saw on the menu that checks could not be split, which was fine even though split would be preferable to us. So, when our server told us the check can't be split but she can "take multiple cards" I was a bit confused and asked if she could explain more since that's what we might do, since she said it was possible. Already there she gave attitude and said I don't know how else to explain it to you in a rude tone. After we finished our food, we asked her to take multiple cards for the check and she told us to write on the back what to charge each card. I apologize that I did misunderstand what she meant, and put the items rather than the exact amount to charge each card. She came back and said, "you did exactly what I said not to do." So I said sorry and was in the midst of redoing it by calculating when she just snatched it from me and said she'll just do it. I had no problem doing it nor did we complain even once. After a while, understandably, she came back and basically scolded us, saying what if she was busy she wouldn't have been able to do this....but she said she could do it in the first place! We understood from the get go no split checks but then she gave the option of multiple cards so obviously we took it. The food was good and the ambience was nice. I enjoyed the open kitchen concept and seeing the pizza oven. But the service ruined it for me. I work the food industry and would have never acted this way. Nevertheless, I would come again but would not want that server.
