Crawfish ravioli...delicious
Bart C.

Very good, old school neighborhood restaurant. Limited parking in the lot so plan on parking on the street, nearby. Started off with great iced tea. Ordered a side salad with blue cheese dressing. Very disappointed in the salad and dressing. It wasn't some old family recipe. It was handful of packaged lettuce and watery dressing with hardly a hint of blue cheese flavor. I'm thinking, uh oh. I ordered the crawfish ravioli and my wife ordered the eggplant with Alfredo. OUTSTANDING. Really good flavors. I will be back.

Sorry it's an after picture. Chicken parm. No cheese on top.

I'm not sure why I never came here before. It was absolutely delicious. I got the chicken Parmesan and my mom got the beef Parmesan. Both were so tender and crispy. I would 100% come back again. The server was wonderful and the inside looks like a mom and pop Italian restaurant. Prices are great for the quality and amount of food. My mom and I could've split a plate. But so glad we tried both!

Chicken and eggplant Parmesan meal.

Weekday lunch with husband. Craving Italian and this came up on a Yelp search near our location. Seated immediately. Reasonable crowd around noon, moderate conversation noise, "homey" atmosphere. Server, Abigail, was busy, so it took a minute to get out drinks ordered. Food was ordered shortly thereafter. No specific lunch menu. Watching other plates come out before ours, wondered if we should have ordered a sandwich; fries looked fantastic! Side salad with homemade 1000 island was okay. Was expecting more from a homemade dressing; tasted like a dressing off the shelf. Husband's Chicken Alfredo, blackened, was REALLY good. Nice portion. My Chicken & Eggplant Parmesan was okay. Good flavor, but lots of breading and not enough marinara, in my opinion. Portion of bread left something to be desired. Meals were around $17 ea, salad extra. Husband's Coke was refilled, and our check out was speedy. Unsure if there will be a repeat business in the near future, but if we do, we will probably lean away from the Italian. Maybe a sandwich?

Shrimp, Spinach and Artichoke Bread

Giorlando's Restaurant is one of the oldest Italian restaurants in greater New Orleans and one of the best! We prefer to dine here early to avoid any waiting, but if we must wait it is well worth it. Our favorite starter is the Shrimp, Spinach and Artichoke Bread that is shock and awe delicious. Few restaurants (really none) have ever combined these three items in this manner. Seriously this appetizer is so good you will consider fighting your loving spouse or mom for the last piece of Italian shrimp spinach yumminess! Now let's have a talk about their Lasagna. This is not your mom's Lasanga, unless your mom was born a hundred years ago in the Italian countryside and makes the best lasagna in the world as handed down for generations. I absolutely love the perfectly tenderized Beef Cutlet that is so good that months later you will dream about it and then plan out a day trip / date night to feast on this legendary epic beef & pasta. You can't eat at this restaurant only once, you must make regular pilgrimages as after one visit you will make a lifetime commitment to enjoy everything on the menu. On a side note we always get an order of the old school cannolis to finish up our meal.

Absolutely delightful last meal on this trip. The family runs a fantastic restaurant with love flowing out of the service and the food. They have a good quality selection of items and wine. The food was yummy but no amazing. The wine paired perfectly. I loved the ambience of this old school traditional feel. I adored the service and attention to detail. The food quality exceeds the price point and again, if in the area, it's worth stopping in for that oh so special classic experience.

the gravy fries with some ranch is truthfully my favorite item on the menu, but i've never had a bad meal here! also enjoyed some chicken and eggplant parmesan this visit and it was delicious. the service was quick and attentive. all around had a very nice experience!

I hadn't eaten here in probably 70+ years I've spent in New Orleans now I know why! Don't expect very good Italian food. The red sauce is full of sugar the beef cutlet, not veal, has very little flavor and was overcooked. On the positive side, the Poboys I saw looked very good. It's a traditional good old boy been there for ever diner and it's a nice little place for change. I'd go there again, but I wouldn't order anything Italian.

I was in charge of reservations and apparently had not clicked the final confirmation online. As a result, there was, of course, no reservation. We were very disappointed, and I felt horrible; however, we decided to stay and order our own dinner. What happened next was unbelievable! The manager, Randy, and his assistant manager treated us like royalty. We were served each of the different spritzes and even had a taste of each course served at the pairing dinner we had been so looking forward to. The food was incredible. The service was on par with a Brennan-family restaurant. And what started as a disappointing evening turned into a very fun night! Thank you, Randy!! Babyyyyyyy, seasoned by my ancestors and melted in my mouth! The grilled asparagus was perfectly cooked, a little crunch but not too wilted! All atop that delectable lemon aioli sauce! Perfect portions too! Reheats well too. The place is pretty nice! Great for any occasion! Go there, you won't be disappointed!

From the moment we sat down, the decor and atmosphere felt like a genuine neighborhood Italian restaurant, not a chain trying to imitate one. Our server Austin made the night. When I asked how the Chicken Marsala was, he told me the sauce was thick and perfectly balanced. He was right. The dish, boneless chicken breast sauteed in a mushroom marsala sauce with bordelaise, came with pasta in oil and garlic and a side Caesar salad, and it did not disappoint. My girlfriend ordered the Herb Crusted Salmon, topped with jumbo lump crabmeat and champagne beurre blanc, served with garlic braised spinach and a side Caesar salad. She loved every bite. We started with a fried zucchini appetizer, served with red sauce on the side, cooked perfectly and gone before we knew it. We closed the night with the chocolate mousse cake with ice cream and a decaf espresso, the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Vincent's is officially our new favorite Italian restaurant. The service, quality, and decor are everything an authentic Italian restaurant should be

We told the waiter of the problem and he said they knew about it and spray once a week but essentially it is what it is. No visit from the manager or anything to make the situation right. I was probably one of the only people who truly enjoyed my meal. Everyone else mentioned the food quality or taste not being the same... or they had flies in their food. I know they do fun live music every Thursday now. We recently dinned here for the live music and it was so relaxing. Not to mention, this food is on par if not better, then Vincent's. Not to compare necessarily, but generally my standard for great Italian food in the NOLA area is usually Vincents as the baseline. We ordered the aracini and the meatballs and the crab claws as apps! Omg ok, I am not really a fan of aracini, but this, THIS! Ok it is stuffed, and i mean STUFFED, with so much cheese that I felt like I was eating a cheese ball. It was really good and light on the sauce too. I loved those meatballs too, they must mix veal in there because they reminded me of my mothers meatballs. They were so tender and perfect. And so few restaurants offer crab claws anymore and I dont know why?? We leave is South La, there's plenty of crab to make this app. Regardless, this was also amazing and I think this was going to be my favorite, it was my third favorite, number 1 was the aracini. All 3 were fantastic though, don't let me confuse you. Mom got the special which was a soft shell crab with some amazing garlic, butter, heaven sauce. I do not have a picture of the menu to be able to describe what was in the sauce. I did ask the waiter and begged him to tell the chef to keep it on the menu, We ordered the lasagna and the fetuccini with fried veal. I'd say my fav to just ok, it would be that special and the sauce on it and last would be the lasagna. I am so glad to see this place doing so well. I will be back.

Their "wine dinners" are also a big hit for us, it's great to try new wines and dishes that aren't always on the menu. We have a group of 20+ that attends all the wine dinners together.
