Tried the Cajun Crawfish Pizza at Reginelli's Pizzeria. Customer service was pretty good. However, must admit, I was not impressed with my food ‍. Now the first pizza looked like crap with all that wet flavorless butter sauce. I told the waitress, "This does not look like the picture." She said something along tge line of them failing to drain toppings or using too much whatever but would let the manager know. Minutes later she returned offering to have them redo my pizza. Nice manager on duty brought out the hot fresh pizza and apologized for the first one. Although it was tasty, season and flavor was really lacking to be calling it "Cajun", not hint of spice to taste. This pizza made it to the "1 Shot, 1 Kill" list. The Garlic Knots were hot but dipping them in the marinara sauce added not flavor. Surely can't hold a candle to the food I had at Rotolo's Pizzeria. #Facts I never get how any business does not put sanitation first as in keeping the floors free of trash and ensuring the bathrooms cleaned for its customers. Went there to eat dinner on Tuesday the 20th. Got there about 7:45 pm and was seated promptly. My wife made her order and I just wanted some penne noodles with marinara sauce and was told they didn't have that. So I settled for rotini noodles with marinara sauce. About 7:15pm the waitress Amyni D notified us that they were behind in the kitchen due to being shorthanded with only 2 people to fill orders. If I had been informed of this at the beginning of our order I would have went elsewhere. I get up at 3:30am. Finally the food came out about 7:20 pm . The wife got all what she requested then my food came a minute or two after. The marinara sauce was more of a paste. Tasted okay but a bit spicy for me. Did not eat all of the food as the sauce was too thick. Amyni came and asked if all was okay and I told her that I have had better. Well instead of asking what was wrong she walked away, great customer service! My wife enjoyed all of her food order so I requested the check. Had to wave Amyni to come to the table as she disappeared in the kitchen and other patrons tables. When I got the check i was surprised to see I was charged $12.95 for tortellini pomodoro, no tortellini pasta. $3.50 for a meatball , $1.50 for rotini pasta, $1.00 for 1 side of crostini (half a slice of toasted bread . This is the first place I've eaten since the CDC eased the mask mandate for vaccinated people. Masks are optional inside. It was quite jarring for my servers to be maskless. I don't think I'm quite ready for that, honestly. On to the pizza, the chutney and peppers were divine. Loved that combo! However the pizza was wet in the center. When you picked up a slice, the end was sloppy and droopy and would flop down losing your toppings and liquid would fall. Maybe the chutney wasn't a good idea. It's maybe too wet for pizza toppings. The flavor was good great though. Overall it was a decent enough visit. Our server wasn't terribly friendly but she did her job well enough. I was lucky enough to eat here for free because I won some gift cards a while back. I didn't know what to expect from eating here but it's safe to say I'm hooked! I came here with a friend for dinner last night and ordered the eggplant appetizer and a large Fresconon pizza. We became such big fans of the goat cheese butter that came with the eggplant that we asked for extra to eat with our pizza! The pizza was also very good and the crust was balanced, soft but still crispy and sturdy. My friend and I aren't on special diets but we spontaneously went vegetarian tonight with our meatless dinner and everything was great. The staff was also pleasant and attentive. i have been to this location many times, mainly during lunch. This will be my last visit. The service was fine, the beer was cold, the restaurant decor was fine but the 25.00 pizza was inedible. It tasted like a huge cinnamon bun with rubbery overcooked frozen shrimp. It's inedible. The server apologized and said "I'm sorry you didn't like it but different cooks serve different proportions." I thought they would take it back or offer a smaller pizza, which would have been great. Nothing, just the check and a go box. We brought 95 percent of the Detroit Style Barbecue Pizza to our neighbor's children. They were excited to get almost a whole pizza. The service here is great and they always invite you in with a smile. The air in this place smells clean. The restaurant itself is funky kinda cool. We called Reginelli's to place an order to pick up. We ordered the PEPPERONI & SAUSAGE DETROIT STYLE PIZZA. We asked if we could add onions and mushrooms to the pizza. We were abruptly told no. We asked why and she said that we could not add anything because "we don't do that." When we arrived at the restaurant, we asked again about adding toppings to their pizzas. (We wanted to understand why onions or mushrooms could not be sprinkled on our pizza before it went into the oven.) The girl said that they could not do that because the pizzas were pre-made 2 hours in advance of them opening and they could not modify these pre-made pizzas. We questioned her about her comment that the pizzas were not made fresh and she said she was only referring to the dough, ???. We were still not clear as to why we could not add a few toppings. Maybe it makes me a weirdo, but I was super-duper ridiculously excited when I discovered that we were finally getting a Reginelli's on the Westbank. It's my favorite local pizza place and the new location isn't far from my house: score! I stopped in for lunch at around 2 on a Wednesday. First of all, this place is huge- perfect for groups and lots of space. I wasn't in the mood for pizza, so I decided to get the Downtowner sandwich which is turkey, salami, tomatoes, cheese and some other goodies on toasted garlic bread. The sandwich was fantastic and I really enjoyed it and it the perfect thing for lunch. Ordered to-go for lunch, and needed it delivered at work a mile away. Called in at 11:01 when they opened, and they were ready and friendly! The Tony's Play Pizza was DELICIOUS! This place has become our go to Pizza Location. Always good service and food. Try the spinach dip while you are waiting for dinner. Don't feel like taking a drive, no problem they have delivery. The only suggestion I have is to offer a flavor of the week or month from Häagen Dazs next door. Since this location is owned by the same family. But that is just being lazy on our part. Our favorite pizzas are the Fresconan and the Saltimbocca! The classic combo is good too when you're looking for that supreme pizza flavor. The Eggplant has quickly become our new favorite appetizer. It's a whole eggplant that is halved and served roasted with garlic, fontina, and herbed goat butter. It's a large enough appetizer that you could probably order it as lunch for one person.
