Absolutely the worst nail service I've ever experienced. I got gel on both my hands and feet, and the technician, Michael, actually made my toe bleed during the pedicure. Within a week, my gel nails were already chipped and breaking, which should never happen with a proper application. When I came back to have them fix the poor work, the manager was incredibly rude and dismissive instead of taking responsibility. I had a 6pm appointment and I arrived on time. They sat me down in a pedicure station where I waited for 20 minute for someone to finally start. The entire time I was not offered anything to drink or told the reason for the delay. When an employee finally attended me I asked if any wines were offered to customers. He went in the back and came back with the manager for some reason. The manager asked me what I wanted and then offered to go to the back and get me a bottle of water. Was getting my hair done close by, so I walked over to get a pedicure done. They immediately walked me back with no wait, even though they were pretty busy. Danny was my pedicurist and he did a decent job, which is surprising considering he was watching TV most of the time. LOL! The design was cute. He was pretty quick too. I went to Diva Day Spa a couple of days ago and overall the service was pretty good. I only had to wait for 10 minutes before I got some French tips on my natural nails by Danny. He did REALLY well on my nails. He said if ur nails get messed up within two weeks they will replace a single nail for no charge. I thought that was a very nice deal. It took about 30-45 minutes for Danny to do my nails. It was $30 for natural nail French tips. I will definitely come here again. 3.5 weeks later: my French tips are still BEAUTIFUL. I went to diva day spa to treat myself to a manicure. The man that did my nails he was extremely unprofessional. When he used the electric nail filer he cut my cuticle till it bled. I asked him for alcohol for the wound. He instead sprayed my entire hand with alcohol. So my day of pampering turned to a day of pain. He made my nails pointy after I specifically requested round, didnt lotion my hands, it was just the worst experience I ever had. When I got home I noticed my nails weren't even painted all the way. I was visiting Melbourne for Valentines Day weekend and he took me to get my nails done at the mall. The girl from sunglass hut recommended this place so I went. My pedicure was amazing...they used got rocks on my feet which I loved! My gel fill in was awful. I don't know what kind of UV nail drying machine they had but it caused one of my nails to boil. (I know right) they had to redo it prior to me leaving. They closed at 9pm but I didn't leave until 915 and I felt a little rush. I go across the street to Ross to find a dress and I glance at the same nail that was boiling and I saw it cracked! I didn't even touch anything in 5 minutes. Then the rest of my nails started to crack that's when I realized that this place used cheap gel products or either their technique was not effective. Very disappointed in my nail service! I had the second half of the day to myself after working, this is my first time in Melbourne and I wanted to do some exploring. After walking around the historic downtown area, on my way back to my hotel - I stopped at the mall to get some early Christmas shopping done! As soon as I walked in I saw a Diva Day Spa. I suddenly glanced at my nails and realized I should probably stop in there for a quick manicure. As soon as I walked in I asked how long the wait was. They said no wait, go pick a color. I chose my color right away knowing I wanted to go with a plain & simple, festive red. They told me to take a seat. Moments later I was greeted by my manicurist. While I was waiting for her to come over, the manicurist next to me asked me why I didn't do gel. I told her because I prefer a regular manicure. She asked me again why I didn't want to do gel. I told her because in the past times I've used gel, my nails peeled and looked thin and unhealthy afterwards. She told me, again and proceeded to recommend the gel manicure. I realize that the gel manicure is more expensive and it started irritating me. I also don't like the UV rays from the machines. A lot of nicer nail salons have the UV free machines, but I knew this nail salon wouldn't. I told her once more that I was not interested in the gel manicure and I think she got the hint, the fourth time around. I got my manicure. She was very quick, rough, and mostly just talking to the manicurist next to her in their native tongue the whole time. Some of my cuticles weren't even pushed down all the way, and I told her I wanted to take my engagement ring off before she put lotion on it. She didn't understand when I was trying to say. She was kind of aggressive and kept pulling my hands back to her. I was frustrated in general. Finally, one of my biggest pet peeve is when I am getting my nails done is when they mess up a nail and then just try to put tons of nail polish over it to cover it. It never ends up fixing it and it always ends up either smudging or chipping. I told her that was one of my nails was messed up and she needed to redo it. She proceeded to put more and more nail polish over it. I told her that was not going to fix it and she needed to remove the nail polish and start over. Although she clearly did not want to, she did it per my request....but I had to ask her twice. Who is the paying customer here, anyway? Overall, it was not a great experience. As I walked through the rest of the mall I realized that there were two other nail places as well. If you need to go get your nails done at the mall I highly recommend you don't go here. They do have a bathroom out back for patrons but the back room is very bizarre. Apparently they offer waxing services, facials, and I think massages as well. I saw some people eating in the back, and one of the manicurists kids too. I was looking around at all their instruments and everything looked pretty dirty. I hate a dirty nail salon, especially an unsanitary one. Skip this place, he will be happy you did. read more

What's great about Diva Day Spa is not only the fact that it's conveniently located in the Melbourne Square shopping mall, but that it's open until 9pm (while most nail salons close at around 7pm). If you are hoping for a private, quiet "spa" like experience, then this probably isn't your place. It's very open and bustling with activity, but great for people watching. This is the kind of place you go to when you need a quick manicure or pedicure, but still want to unwind and enjoy some "me" time. Each pedicure includes a seat in the many awesome massage chairs that line the shop. It's like an assembly line of pedicure spa chairs. These chairs are wonderful and brand new with personal controls so you can program the massage settings just the way you like. The other thing I enjoyed about my pedicure was the hot stone massage. This is the thing that sets this place apart from other shops I've been to. The hot stones were a nice twist to the basic pedicure! The customer service was prompt and friendly. In search of a nail place open after 7PM on a weekday in desolate Melbourne, FL. I called a few with no luck. Then I called Diva. "Open till 10" she says. I plugged in the address and it led me to the Melbourne Mall. :-/ A MALL nail salon??? I had no other options at this time of night and my nails were in desperate need of help. Entering the salon, it was bright and clean. My experience here was good. The technician was attentive to how I wanted my nails and with basic small talk she kept me occupied. My only gripe is that although I witnessed them scrubbing the tubs with bleach after a pedicure, I didnt see the tools being sanitized. :-/ The clippers and cuticle trimmer used on me were taken out of the drawer and put back there after use. Kinda scary. Overall my nails turned out exactly how I wanted them. I didn't have to do any additional filing at home. (Ladies, you all know what I mean). Did not acknowledge it AT ALL other than putting a dab of antiseptic on it. Did not apologize or anything!!! After getting home and calling to complain(my 5 year old niece was with me and did not want to make a scene in front of her) the manager was EXTREMELY rude and tried offering me a $12 manicure like I would actually go back there. I have kept this wound as clean as possible, as many people warned me that this place was dirty and my foot could get infected. Well, low and behold it is now infected!!!! I would rate zero if I could. Long story short I was getting acrylics and the guy broke the nail really short. NEVER said he would fix it and continued to cut all other nails short. I paid and left because I wanted to calm down so I wasn't rude. Me and my cousin left and got some coffee we came back for me to "complain". Horrible experience. I never write reviews but this time I had to. The Asian gay owner did my nails. In the beginning, he said it would be $27, I showed him the color of pink nails that I wanted. Then he just put a white tip on it and I asked what he is doing and if he was still going to put pink. He said no I am going to put on a white tip. Then I asked if he did not understand that I asked for pink nails. Then he argued with me and said why I did not stop him when he put the white tip if I wanted pink and if I am too stupid to see the difference between white and pink. Then I said I just want pink nails and wanted to show him a picture on the internet. He was just doing a whole show acting like he did not understand that I just want pink. After that, he was passive-aggressive, literally cut a whole piece of skin out of my finger and the pink color was all over my hand. Then my friend and I looked at the TV because he would not stop talking to us and annoying us about the color and that I am too stupid that I have not told him before (which I did from the beginning) and then he freaking turned off the TV because he saw we were looking at it. I have never seen such childish behavior in my whole life. There was a big piece of pink color in the middle of my hand and I asked him if he could take it off, he rubbed the nail fail over my SKIN to take off the color and said that that's the only way and then even the back of my hand was bleeding. After all, in the end, he even charged me $40 and I asked him why because at the beginning he said $27 and then he said something about that now it's different!!! Not to mention that at the end he again said to me that I need to learn the difference between white and pink for the next time. Ended up will a whole different shape on that nail. YOU HAD ONE JOB! LITERALLY! The color part was done SUPER MESSY! He kept trying to clean it up at the end the the brush and acetone... which made it 10X worse. Looked like I had dry blood on the nails bed. You can't always win I understand that the color was super hard and messy. Whatever.. a week later decided to give it another try and wax my eyebrows. And omg she totally fucked that up too. Ended up with a thinner eyebrow already. She said she could fix it by making the other one even. I said no thank you and thought to myself I will fix it on my own at home . Then asked how much for a color change because they had done a horrible job the week before. She said she would fix it for me no charge. Just moved to the area from Los Angeles and was really hesitant to get my eyebrows/lips waxed because I'm really particular about them. Thought I'd give this spa a try since I was already at the mall and there was a decent amount of customers inside. I would have much rather kept my bushy eyebrows than the catastrophe that is now my eyebrows. Mary, I believe, hardly used anywax when doing my eyebrows, didn't tweeze or Shape them after waxing AND didn't trim my eyebrows in general. After I had an initial look I asked her to please shape my left eyebrow a little more and honestly that one looks way better than the right. Long story short, this place SUCKS for eyebrow/lip waxing and they are quick to receive their money instead of taking the time to making sure that they do a good job. I visited this nail salon on an impulse. I didn't like the overall look and feel of the salon at first bc of the decor. Im from Orlando/Winter Park and just relocated. The tech Julie was nice. I had gel already on my nails and instead of soaking my nails individually in foil she placed my fingers in acetone! She proceeded to use the cuticle pusher to chip away the gel which kind of hurt. Overall she did a decent job but I probably won't go back unless I'm in a pinch. I'm not partial to visiting nail salons in mall anyway. read more

I haven't had any issues since I've been going. Started coming here almost a year ago when my nail tech moved. I only allow lily, Tiffany or long take care of me and my nails have grown so much. I bring my own polish because I'm not fond of their polish selection. Their gel (shellac) and regular polish just aren't my style and they look to dried out. For those interested you can get it on eBay for 10-30 dollars for the gel polish alone or both the gel and regular polish. read more
