We went here during halstead days because we were starving. Had good hopes because it smelled great, the food came out quickly and our servers were very polite and efficient. I had the orange chicken with cucumber salad and wouldn't recommend either. The salad lacked flavor and "dressing" because it felt like some sweet vinegar was what they were going for, but there was barely any on them. My partner got the "very spicy" noodles and they were not very spicy at all. They had the best flavor of what we ate, but wasn't anything to write home about. We also got a sushi roll, but it was very unremarkable and I forgot to take a picture. They didn't have the proper fixins for the sushi so it felt incomplete. Ran into this place after bar-hopping last night. The sign can be seen from down the street, "Thai Sushi Open Late" and so we continued walking towards what seemed like a hole-in-the wall. We rushed inside the place, thank goodness their door was open. We then thought it was closed as there was no one at the front desk, no hostess, no nothing. There were a few people waiting around chit chatting, so we figured that the open late sign was true. Still no sign of staff anywhere but can see and hear some activity upstairs. And, so we walked up a short flight of stairs, inquired with a male staff, only to be told no more dine-ins by 1am since they will be closing in an hour. Of course, we settled for the only choice left - take-out. We were so hungry at this point, we didn't care but just wanted to eat a hot meal. Don't expect much from this small, not so attractive and unorganized looking restaurant (stuff all over the place). It had oriental decor here and there, along with a large LGBT flag hanging from the stairwell rail. The dining area wasn't much to look at and didn't have a large amount off tables to choose from. Soft music was playing, giving the place a calm and quiet ambience. Despite the establishment's appearance, we were just super glad they had hot food to go. The two staff that were around, were friendly and helpful. Diva Thai & Sushi Bar's food was hot and delicious when we got to our hotel. Dropped in around midnight after the Greenmill. I was dubious at first. Particularly when I decided to order sushi and it was served on a paper plate! It was hilarious but I went for it and turns out it was quite good. My daughter had the pad thai and it too was delicious. This is the type of place that must be accepted only for what it does well. Don't be daring. Advice: Stick with thai dishes or sushi rolls. Warning: Avoid delivery and orange chicken. I think this place thrives round about midnight and after a drink or two. Service was fine. Came here with the girl for some Asian. It's a pretty quiet but casual place. The inside is upscale but relaxing. Lots to choose from. Each of us got the Diva Vegan Lover Roll. It's $12 for a big one. This has avocado, cucumbers, kampyo, mixed greens, and shiitake in a soy wrap. Most excellent. This was big and filling. For sure could come here again. I ordered delivery late night on a Friday. It arrived in about 25 minutes at 1:00 AM to my Lincoln Square location. (I think it's amazing to be able to get GOOD food delivered at 1 AM- I work nights) I ordered Pad Thai and it was VERY VERY good. I had it with ground chicken which I think is a welcome option. When it arrived I checked it's temperature - and it was 154° F (68° C) - temperature of delivery food is CRUCIAL for aesthetics and FOOD SAFETY. 154° was plenty hot and actually very impressive for delivery Pad Thai. Came by later at night and it was still busy, which I took to be a good sign. The dining area is small and not the most modern or updated, and there are some TV's along the back wall to watch the game on (I think that's what was on? I wasn't watching). The food comes out quickly so people are easily in and out within an hour. We ordered edamame, pad see ew, crazy spicy udon, and rainbow noodles. All the dishes were cooked well, though it was missing a bit more seasoning/an extra bit of savoriness. My dining companion especially enjoyed the pineapple chunks that came with the rainbow noodles as it offered a tangy surprise that complemented the dish well. I've only ever ordered diva when it's late and I'm in a pinch, but it meets and slightly exceeds expectations. It's efficient, very 'decent' Thai food late at night. I would need to go in person during the day to determine if it's a 5 star experience. Nothing about it stands out as spectacular- but it's definitely not sub par- just exactly what you expect but late night for a pad see ewe. Not a ton of veggies or meat. Each piece was bigger than usual in diameter, which made it a very difficult eat. Sushi pieces are supposed to be bite sized. The taste of the rolls was great, but their appetizers were not. I got 2 orders of pot sticker and pad kimao. Portions were tiny and noodles were very bland. Noodles were thin and kind of over cooked instead of being nice crispy thick rice noodles. Dish was oozing with flavorless grease and it was hard to finish. I had to dump the sweet and sour sauce to flavor up the fish. Potstickers were good but the noodles ruined the experience from me. I've ordered from this restaurant for years now. The last times have been trough UberEats and they tried to charge me $.50 per container for the free spicy sauce they give away at their restaurant. When I called them and asked about the extra charge they said that UberEats was the one who charged me, which was a total lie. The server we had was really nice. The menu was decently sized, but I was a little surprised to see that some of the basic rolls were priced high. At any rate, we ordered the following: Spring roll appetizer - had tofu chunks, tasted okay Spicy Salmon roll - delicious Philly roll - I typically don't like sushi with cream cheese but this had just the right amount for blended flavor. Many of these "awful experiences" are Groupon customers. No hate to Groupon, but some of their customers can be the worst, most entitled, rude, trouble stirring-people ever. I say this because some of these reviews don't sound right at all and many sound like deliberate attempts to trash the place because some customer didn't get what they wanted. That being said, I think criticism of any business is good, even my favorites (can help them change and grow) but I don't understand how many people had bad experiences here. I come here often, and I always have a wonderful time at Diva. The food is delicious. The rolls taste fresh (even at 3am) and the appetizers are really good. If you like Ramen, their spicy ramen is delicious- only $6 for a really large bowl. The place is a little small , but I don't usually have trouble with seating even with parties of around 6-7. I think it's nice and they have a cool vibe and look to it all- a fun spot to dine at, especially at night. The servers are almost always quick and polite and I never wait very long for my food. There are some really great people working here- I even ran into one of my servers at Freaky Deaky music festival with some friends once and remember him/ he remember us. Overall, I think this place makes some really good sushi and I enjoy going here. I don't think it deserves the bad rep some people give it. Will be returing. read more

I ordered UberEats delivery from here because I was craving pad Thai, sushi, and crab rangoons all at the same time. I didn't have super high expectation because I haven't had a lot of luck with thai/sushi for delivery in the area. However, I was really pleasantly surprised! The crab rangoons were still hot and crispy, even after being delivered and sitting on my front porch for probably about 5 minutes. I'm used to fried stuff showing up not crispy anymore, but was really pleased that these had a crispy outside and were stuffed with lots of filling! The roll I got was spicy tuna crunch, and it actually was spicier than expected which I don't mind at all. Finally, I got the veggie pad Thai and really liked it! It wasn't as good as at my favorite Thai place back home, but it was still good and I was really happy that they added a good amount of veggies in there since pad Thai isn't always known to be vegetable-heavy.
