We were greeted with mimosas upon arrival, and Catherine had already picked several items for both of us to try on. After combing through the store, I found that the biggest challenge was narrowing down my selection, because everything here is so stinking cute! It's clear that they do a lot of research on current trends. The 45 minute time a lot seemed to fly by, but I left the store with a bunch of new clothes that I love! The employee simply started hanging clothes as though we were invisible. It was one of the most unwelcoming retail experiences I've had. The atmosphere came across as elitist and judgmental--as if our casual boating clothes somehow meant we weren't worth acknowledging. The irony is that we absolutely had the means and every intention of buying a dress and supporting a local Kirkland business. Instead, we took our money elsewhere. A boutique should make people feel welcome, regardless of what they're wearing. Unfortunately, this store made us feel judged the moment we walked through the door. Well we were enjoying dinner in kirkland last night and decided to pop into this shop to look at…read morehats real quick. It was 15 min before their closing so we were not Planning on lingering! Before we even got in the door we were met with hostility from the woman behind the counter, she told us in no uncertain terms we were NOT welcome to browse and wanted to know what we were shopping for! My friend said she just quickly wanted to look at hats and the woman and her coworker roughly pointed her in the direction while mumbling under their breath that we were not welcome and should just leave! We were there less than two min and that was way too long for me! I would NEVER EVER give a penny to a company with this sort of employees or service! We were in no way being rude, pushy or out of line! The store was literally still open and the door was unlocked! Such gross behavior from older adult women! They should be ashamed!!!
