    Soft shell crab special

Delicious food and great staff! Came for a dinner with my family and we were truly wowed and can't wait to get back and make our way through more menu items! We started with the mussels and crab cake for appetizers. Everything was super fresh and full of flavor. The crab cake came with a tasty summer corn salad. For entrees we had the salmon, risotto and the soft shell crab special all were great! The risotto was super rich and creamy topped with fresh fish. The salmon was cooked well with super crispy skin. Not pictured were the completely empty plates. The staff was super attentive. Checking in refilling glasses and bringing fresh drinks. Couldn't have had a better dinner and can't wait to go back!

This fish & steak restaurant is located on Pleasantville Road in the space formerly occupied by Chatterbox 54 (not to be confused with Chatterbox which is still open in nearby Pleasantville - yes Pleasantville Road is in Briarcliff, go figure). Owned by former management at Flames and family, the space is small but upscale and offers a diverse menu from Oysters to pasta to steak. The wine list is seriously overpriced and the menu operates like a steakhouse with "sides" available to order for sharing. Some menu items cone with a sides of veggies and/or potato so choose wisely! Our West coast oysters were delicious and briny, and our group of 6 ordered lots of different dishes. Service was excellent throughout. My Dive Veal, topped with crabmeat and a cognac sauce was tender and delicious, if a tad oily. Dessert sampler was delicious and a nice treat from the owner. Reservations are a must on weekends as the place was full, including bar seats. We would definitely return.

Great restaurant and bar with a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. The seafood was exceptionally fresh, and the overall environment was comfortable and well-maintained. Even the restrooms were spotless, which is always a plus. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a gem in town--definitely worth a visit!

The ambiance was lovely. The blue LED lighting makes a trendy vibe. Sat at the bar for a drink before dinner. Lychee martini came with a color changing sphere inside the glass. Kinda cool. I was expectativa a "dive bar" vibe but it's a classy place. Sat in the dining area for dinner. The owner was very friendly and offered us any table we wanted. All the staff were dressed in traditional server attire of black pants, white shirt & black bow tie. The bread rolls seemed to be purchased and not made in house and came with an olive tapenade. We had the shishito peppers as an appetizer and they were bland and way too oily. I got the lobster roll that had way too much dressing and the side of Brussels were again coated in oil with a touch of sweetness. The spinach linguine was tasty but the tuna was terrible.

The bread was really bad along with whatever they served it with. The east coast oysters were okay nothing special. The place also smelled bad. The service was normal.

Tons of lobster in the bisque!

Seafood wasn't fresh and it was overpriced even by NYC standards. Ambience was dead. Server was friendly however.

Very small portions for what you pay. I've ordered crab cakes, order came as one piece and it was super salty.

It had good flavor and was cooked close to desired temperature but my husband's wasn't. He said his was too medium/well done. The fries were pretty good. I wanted to eat more so that's my measure of goodness. I can stay away from a subpar or average fry. When I eat more than a few I know I like them and I did that here. Service. The young crew is friendly nice and helpful. Some of the other staff are very serious, curt, cut and dry. It is very tight in the restaurant. With four of us at a table we had to play chess with everything on the table. I wouldn't go back again during flu season. It is pretty and I like the lighting. Honestly kind of average but kind of good too. I wouldn't run back here but I would visit again.

My girlfriend and I decided to share the very generous portion of paella. The rice in the paella was absolutely delicious and there was a good assortment of seafood. My only criticism if any was that it was a little bit oily as we worked our way down to the bottom of the dish. We ate plenty each and had plenty to take home. We then decided to try the desserts. I had the bread pudding or Tres Luce (spelling?) and she had the flan. Both were delicious but unfortunately, towards the bottom of each, we discovered that they had just recently been frozen. They hadn't quite thawed out at the bottom! The service was excellent - warm and inviting. I wish I could've given an extra star, but between the frozen deserts decide and the oily paella I couldn't.

Their skirt steak and lomo saltado are amazing, shrimp burrito very tasty, and you absolutely must end with the churros. My biggest complaint is service is slow which is strange because I've never seen it busy and it can get frustrating waiting around for someone. And though the decor and space is really nice, the lack of people doesn't make for a fun and/or lively atmosphere which I find really important for any restaurant experience.

The calamari we ordered as an appetizer was excellent, we were all impressed with how crispy it was and the family sized was the perfect portion. I did not know this happened but I wish I did. A manager by the name of Jose, told my in laws last minute the room I wanted to given to another party because "they paid more". I also had a onsie station the vendor was there and she needed a chord to put together the onsie station. I learned after my shower that the manager Jose was extremely rude to the point that she wanted to walk out. My father in law was able to calm the situation. My onsie lady stated she had never experienced this ever at a venue. I wish I would have known. The manager Jose does not seem to know how to actually be a manager. He sounds like a person that is too power hungry and does not know actually how to one talk to people and two, actually manage a restaurant. What happened was very unprofessional and not right. I will never give my money to Tierra Rustica ever again after this event happened. To Jose you really need to learn how to speak to people and learn communication skills, because it sounds like you lack them to the extreme. You do not succeed in a business with your type of personality.
