Came here after seeing a movie at Jacob Burns, and omg, this is such a cozy, sexy, intimate little date spot. Loved sitting for two along the wall across from the bar and feasting on delicious lamb sliders with their homemade feta dressing and this big platter of dips and samplers like hummus, labneh, veggies, and fresh, warm pita. Cute place, nice wood and exposed brick decor. Not crowded on an early Thursday night. We ordered Marinated olives, Burrata Bruschetta and White anchovies for starters. The White Anchovies are delicately vinegared with black and white sesame seeds sprinkled on top and baby microgreens. So nice. And the Burrata was creamy, tasty and absolutely divine. Definitely order something with bread (or wait for you charcuterie plate to come out!) We had the Frenchie Charcuterie. It was perfect down to the fabulous creamy Brie-like cheese. I've been meaning to try this place since they opened and finally made it in this week! My husband and I were initially going to just have some cocktails and then head somewhere else for dinner, but we ended up staying and eating there at the bar. When we walked in, it smelled very strongly of lemongrass -- like Pledge or lemon Pine Sol. It was so strong, I almost wanted to leave... but after sitting there for a while it dissipated (or I just got used to it). Ambience is lovely. Later in the evening, our bartender Jackie charred some fresh cinnamon sticks and let them sit in sand on the bar -- such a great smell for winter to waft through the air! Our bartender Jackie was great - she offered up her favorite menu options and helped me decide between two cocktails. I started with On Walden Frond (gin-based, with cucumber and fennel, with a fennel-salt rim) which I really really loved. I love fennel, so this was a perfect light drink with a lot of aromatics on the nose. Really nice if you like gin but want something more interesting than a G&T. For my second, I decided to stick with gin and ordered the London, which was more true to a G&T. It had juniper berries in it, along with charred rosemary that Jackie burned on the spot. It was good, but I liked the less-common flavors of the first drink better. My husband went for the Ginger Old Fashioned, which had ginger liqueur and even piece of candied ginger garnish. It was tasty. For his second, he ordered the Mezcaliente, which was basically a spicy chili-lime margarita with mezcal. He likes things super spicy, so when this one wasn't spicy enough, he asked Jackie to make the next one with a little more heat. It was perfect. For food, we ordered the sampler (marinated olives, chili-lime cashews, deviled eggs, and an incredibly feta dip with pita). We also ordered the garlic shrimp, and the spicy mushrooms. This place has such a cozy vibe. Beautiful brick and wood decor, faux fireplace with candles, pretty holiday lights strung up, all made it feel a little magical. Our party of 4 loved the food, service and atmosphere. Seated at a lovely L-shaped sofa table in the front window, we shared a pitcher of La Florecita, (a grapefruit tequila cocktail) and all of our unique and delicious plates... lamb sliders, shrimp with country bread, Frenchy's feast (pate & charcuterie), fennel burrata salad, pimiento cheese toast, and bacon-stuffed shishito peppers. It's worth mentioning their beverage menu also has something for everyone, a decent beer selection, fun shots. They also have games available. This is a very charming bar, with warm, sleek interior. The staff are very jovial and welcoming. Interesting and eclectic cocktail menu. The food is tapas, light bites. We particularly enjoyed the white sardines, and the mushroom bruchetta. And don't underestimate the devil's eggs. The prices are on the high side for drinks. The restaurant welcomes conversation as we found ourselves unexpectedly staying for almost two hours. The Menu is also unique though some may consider it somewhat limited. We shared the Cheese Sampler - A chef's selection of four cheeses with bread, olives and honey. Portions could have been larger for the price. The Bar Snack Sampler with deviled egg, cashews, pimiento cheese and crackers was enjoyed. Our server was pleasant and polite checking on us without be intrusive. The service was excellent (I even shared our server that her aura was glowing). Since we were doing vegetarian that night, we had the spicy shrooms (flavorful, but a little too chewy for me). Then we tried 2 other entrees that I cant remember the names but the taste was unforgettable, one had had honey on it and the other arugula- the bread, folks will make you rethink Keto- reminds me of home made bread. I intended to stop in a little over a month ago but got sidetracked. Finally made my way in for a late dinner and I'm so glad I did! Jackie the bartender was incredibly pleasant, friendly, and helpful. I'm super indecisive but I love good food so I ordered a glass of wine and told Jackie to order me two dishes and surprise me! I had mentioned the burrata caught my eye so she made sure to bring me the Burrata Bruschetta- which honestly was SO delicious I could've easily just doubled up on that and been in happy heaven. The burrata was so creamy and cold and refreshing I swear I might just go back for more tomorrow. Her and Anthony worked together to figure out my second dish and landed on the Lamb Sliders which were also super tasty. I don't think I left a drop on either plate. I let my food settle a little while sipping on my wine, and ultimately decided I couldn't leave without trying one more dish. Jackie and I had been talking about mushrooms at some point earlier, so we decided I should try the Spicy Shrooms. Also very good! I seriously feel like I need to go back and try everything else on the menu. The Deviled Eggs, the Honey Roasted Carrots, the Shrimp dish.... I want it all. The decor is great, ambiance is lovely and cozy and rustic, the food was great, and Jackie and Anthony really made me feel right at home though it was the first time I ever stepped into the place. I wound up being the last person in the place and not once did they made me feel rushed or unwelcome. They truly were so easy to talk with, laugh with, and made dining out solo not so lonely. My friend and have been going to the bar Flights for years so when the Raconteur opened up we figured we have to give it a chance as the location is great. Let me say what a mistake. Both times going our drinks were incredibly weak, borderline mock-tails. I kindly asked the waitress to touch the drink up with a bit more vodka. She winded up charging me $10 EXTRA! Overall place is insanely expensive, (some drinks costing $18) and taste is lacking. We always try to support local bars but save your money and go to Southern Table, Wood and Fire, or for those prices go to NYC. read more

The Heirloom Tomato and Bruschetta had the perfect crunch and went so well with the olives. I melted with the Truffle Burrata. The kids and hubby devoured the Gamas al Ajilo .. the shrimp and Frenchy's Feast.Make sure you try the Watermelon Coupe.. so refreshing on a warm evening. . I recently took clients for a drink and tapas to this new tapas bar in Pleasantville. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked through the door. The atmosphere was quite pleasant. Clean, neat and a friendly atmosphere. We sat at a high top table. There were other tables as well and a nice size bar filled with friendly chatter from the patrons. There is no live band, but music played in the background. To start we had a few unique drinks which were quite good. The Paisano's Plate with Italian meats & the truffle honey was amazing. The Beyrouth board which was aesthetically pleasing as well as delicious. The Pita bread was plentiful & just perfect to scoop the Hummus & Labne. We also had the Fatoush Salad making this quite a filling tapas in the end. The staff was friendly and attentive.
