Food was fantastic! We had a great seat by a window over looking a waterfall and the city. The dip with home chips is amazing! After one bite we said we would be back for the dip alone. Beginning to end it was top notch. Service was efficient and friendly. Love the mill buildings of course. The food was amazing. The pork belly app was large and melted in your mouth. Called the day of my birthday dinner to make a reservation for 8 people. Shannon got back to me right away and was able to get us in for 6:30 the same night. We were seated as we arrived, offered drinks (their drinks are so good! I had the mint mudslide, so yum!), shared two orders of "the dip" which is the best corn dip I've ever had and it comes with their house made potato chips. I had the chicken sandwich (and tried some of the Mac and cheese) and wowwww! So yummy! The waitress had heard it was my birthday and offered my friend to bring out a piece of cake with a candle. The chicken sandwich was also extremely good, especially so with the unique addition of the spicy red cabbage. My friend had the French dip and loved it. The service was fast and polite. Looking for something new and different so traveled from Exeter to Dover. Have been to a few of the restaurants around the Mills and it was father daughter lunch. If you do not try Diverge you are missing out! Good selection of Beer, great service and the food is AWESOME! Had the Brussel Sprouts and the Mussels. The portions were so big, we could eat more. We went here for lunch on New Years Day. The food was fantastic!! Had the crab cakes which were delicious and fresh. Everything seems to be made from scratch and of high quality. My partner had fish and chips that was a huge piece of fresh haddock with hot seasoned fries. Again, delicious... Service was great and attentive enough during this difficult time of Covid. Social distancing and masks are required and prevalent. We will definitely be back and Diverge will become a regular stop in the future. read more

BEST FOOD IN DOVER. Diverge is the result of pure passion and culinary talent! We are regulars here (for takeout because we have little ones). The food is just incredible- absolutely inspired, meticulously made. There's nothing plain or boring about a single thing the chef creates, each item on the menu is a level up from anything you could get at other local restaurants. I can't even pick a favorite because I love it all, even our toddler loves the food (especially those house made potato chips!) The service is also wonderful. Can't comment on anything about this place other than the hours on the door said open at 4pm (it was Friday), but it was NOT open, and there wasn't a soul remotely in sight even shortly after 4pm. Not a place to try again after this first impression.....and the snotty reply to this review by the owner really means we will never be back. Timely service starts with opening the door on time, even if you have to apologize to customers who may need to wait for a server. Everyone has patience when treated with respect. read more

Yesterday afternoon we've made our first visit in recently opened Diverge, and it was a really good one. - walking distance for us - nicely setup inside - reasonably priced - friendly and prompt service - good variety of creative dishes The food was simply great. We've got Lobster Rangoons for starters - they are right on! Salmon is definitely very good, but Risotto/Ribs was just fabulous! The whole garnishes choice and presentation are done impeccably. Thanks for the reply Shannon. I have eaten there once before and enjoyed what I had. This particular time was just not as good for me. I try to be understanding of help issues, but was being honest about the long wait. Guanciale or pancetta - I simply didn't care for the large hunks in the risotto, it was overwhelming. I rarely send food back to the kitchen, if I don't like it, I don't eat it. It may be fine to someone else's taste, just not mine. That said, we will likely be back to eat again. read more

Got to chat up an owner, Shannon, who was bartending. Considering they opened this week, she was remarkably calm, stable, and pleasant. Based on our location at the bar (the end), we also got to enjoy server Curtis and his awesome work ethic. We intended to stay for a drink and an app. Ordered Tito's & soda. Tried the PEI Mussels which were fantastic. (Side note, the accompanying bread was glorious.) Mussels were so good, in fact, that we stayed and ordered Manhattans and calamari. Our family moved to Dover in the spring and we've tried a few restaurants within walking distance of our home. This is by far the best experience we have had out in an awfully long time. Our waitress was extremely kind and attentive. The food was worth every penny. My wife got the risotto and I got the NY strip and our 4 year old daughter got the kids Mac and cheese. Food was absolutely excellent. Gourmet bistro style. The owner/bartender was attentive and professional. Good addition to Dovers upcoming restaurant base. Restaurant was clean and bright. We started with the brussels which were not too crispy as some are and had a nice balsamic flavor! For dinner we chose the halibut which had a nice crust on top with tender flaky flesh and the pasta with chicken was creamy and flavorful. Wished we had a dessert choice because we loved the food! Very good, great service, a little pricier than I was anticipating. Ordered the crab cakes appetizer- among the best I have had! Very very light and flavorful, not crumb-heavy at all. The risotto dish was tasty, with braised short ribs, mushrooms, a few pieces of asparagus, cipollini, and a few shaves of pecorino. The portion was a bit small for the price ($21), and I suspect the risotto was not short grain arborio, as the consistency was not quite up to par for a true risotto dish, but it was good nonetheless. The mac and cheese was delicious (also $21 with added short rib) and the portion was larger than the risotto. Would definitely try again; I am intrigued by the burger and the scallop dish. When faced with the choice of Blue Latitudes next door, I would choose Diverge. read more

My boyfriend got the sirloin which he was was good too. I had a taste of the scalloped potatoes they came with and they were awesome. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
