We had no idea about the change because their website, trucks, technicians' attire and phone calls had continued to reflect Top Gun until the past few months we've been dealing with issues with our brand-new downstairs unit that was installed apparently around the time Top Gun was sold. The issues persist despite multiple service visits, which have been a different technician and story from them every time. In the past, my Top Gun reviews had been 5 stars. Now I warn people to avoid them and Willard. Such a shame.

Rose had a technician, Rafael, scheduled to come out the SAME DAY. That is truly unheard of in my experience. We were kept updated on arrival time through a tracking link which is way better than being given a large window of time without visibility into an approximate arrival. Rafael was quick to diagnose our issue and walked through our options (needed to replace the unit which was at end of life), informed us of finance options if approved and even put in a temporary fix so our boy could sleep comfortably in his own room that evening. Rose had 2 wonderful technicians come out to install the new unit the wet next day!!! I'm blanking their names but they were efficient and awesome. We had some issues installing the new thermostat, but again, they put in a temp fix and the new unit was up and running in no time. Another gentleman came out about a week later to install the new thermostat. I'm also blanking his name (sorry :/),but he took the time to walk me through why there was trouble installing it in the first place as well as how to operate the new thermostat, applied some default settings based on his recommendations and made sure my app on my phone was working. Fast forward to today, 9/8, we had an issue over the Labor Day weekend with water leaking through a ceiling fixture (older home, older plumbing, happened before). We contacted Strickland on Sunday and they had another wonderful technician, Duncan, to our home this AM. Duncan took the time to explain to us what was going on with the units and assess as well as diagnose it's a plumbing issue related to the unit(s). He provided us with a reference and we have them coming out at 8 am tomorrow (looks like I'll be doing a review in the near future for them as well ;)). Lastly, huge shoutout to Jeremy. Jeremy is the owner, and I can't say enough great things about him and his team. He took the time to call us and make sure everything was going well. I don't know a lot of owners who care to take the time to do that or take our call on a holiday weekend. We will never use anyone else and will always recommend Strickland to family, friends and strangers. Strickland is like family to us!!

The rep inspected the system and reported back that we had a serious problem. He took me up to the attic where the HVAC units were and told me his gas detection device showed a high gas reading and the gas had to be turned OFF for our safety. Then he had me listen (via speaker phone) while he discussed the situation with his Boss. They pressed to set a date to replace the system but I told them I had to think it over. I did get a second opinion the next day from a neighbor's HVAC company. He reported that there was not a gas leak and everything was good. Summary: 1) Check references when a company has been purchased. 2) Get a second opinion when you are made to feel that something must be decided immediately. 3) Be suspicious.

Sadly, Kenny, who always provided knowledgable expertise, and went above and beyond to provide exceptional service at a great price, has retired. Dunrite was able to get my air conditioner up and running, but at a cost of $317 for an after-hours trip charge & diagnostic for one hour and then $350 to return for 45 minutes the next day to install the part, so almost $700 for a switch. I was never given a timeline when or if someone would return to fix the unit, but fortunately was home when they arrived. I can't fault the workmanship, for which I am grateful, but had to pay probably 3x what Canards would have charged. Ashton needs to communicate better regarding costs & scheduling.

I have a 50 yr old three floor condo that has (most likely) never had the ducts cleaned out. mold was blowing out my vents after a new AC install and that's why I called them. They protected all the areas of my home and got to work- they vacuumed, brushed and sanitized all my ducts many times over- the amount of mold in my ducts was DISTURBING (to say the least!). It took several hours to get every duct cleaned out but they did all the work and left my condo very clean and smelling great when they were finished. I'm sure the amount of nastiness in my ducts are in the top five of worst they ever seen! I will be bringing them back in a year for a follow up clean. The air in my condo already is crisper And the musty smell in my home is gone. So glad I had them come out and they were incredibly friendly and honest as well.
