    Tandoori Chicken

I've been to Diwan before but this was my first time trying their new menu - everything was delicious, the staff were very attentive and the meal hit the spot. The tandoori chicken and chicken tikka masala are the stand outs for me, the garlic naan and humus appetizer is also solid. The entrees come with rice which is perfect. The ambiance is nice, big space looking out on the water. If you're looking to get some yummy Indian food I recommend Diwan.

We came here for Thanksgiving and the food was good! We love Indian so got a vegetarian appetizer sampler, lamb vindaloo, gobi, dahl, spinach paneer, okra, chicken masala, briyani, garlic naan, chai, mango lassi. Was too hungry so only took a few pics of food. Ambiance is beautiful. Too bad it's dark otherwise would have water views. They did have the fireplace going so super nice. They have a second floor for private parties so will keep this place in mind for future events.

Came here for dinner. I usually go to their Hicksville location, and prefer that location. Pros: - Really friendly staff - The goat biryani and garlic naan were delicious Cons: - The portion sizes for the chicken tikka masala and saag paneer was extremely disappointing for the price - One all gender restroom

Not sure why there's a lot of bad reviews for this place. We came on Valentine's Day and service was quick and friendly. Is this the most authentic Indian restaurant? No. But I got my cravings fixed and it tasted good. Will definitely be back. Drinks 8/10 Food 8/10 Ambiance 10/10 Parking 10/10 Service 9/10

Great food here! Great atmosphere and roomy seating. We keep coming back and are never disappointed. The service is friendly and prompt, and the staff will go out of their way to explain the menu to you if you are new tending cuisine. Definitely worth a try as we've been back here many times.

Very good Indian food when in the area. Very large dining area overlooking the water. The service is welcoming and friendly. The food is great. Not oily which happens in so many Indian restaurants. Large selection of vegetarian dishes. Appetizers and entrees Would definitely return when in Port Washington.

Excellent food. I visited this restaurant with some friends after learning that it was featured in an episode of Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Having eaten sub-par Indian food almost everywhere I went since leaving India, my expectations were low walking into Diwan. I am pleased to note, however, that Diwan has served me the best and most authentic Indian food I have had since moving out of India four years ago, and I am so glad it's within commutable distance to where I live. Ambiance was also good, and the servers knowledgeable (we had a vegan in our group and the server knew what was and was not vegan). The food was a bit expensive, even for an Indian restaurant- but my god was it worth it. Highly recommend this place, and it is rare that I recommend an Indian restaurant outside of India!

Fried flounder sandwich $22 Tasteless!!! There was absolutely no seasoning to the flounder nor the batter that it was fried in. I swear it tasted like "nothing." 3. Clam chowder (forgot the price) Upon opening the container, we saw a film of oil on the top. Having lived in New England for a couple of years, I have had my fair share of clam chowders and this was just missed the mark by a bunch. My daughter and I had a spoonful of this chowder and it was awful. The chowder was gritty and not smooth. Also, the color was off (beige color). Yes, it was beige color and not that smooth white color. It had no clam taste, but rather a taste of that bottle container clam juice you get from the grocery store. We never went past after the one spoonful. Yes, it was that awful. 4. Clam bellies (forgot the price) Again, no seasoning. However, it was fresh and the best thing we ate. The clam bellies were good size. The batter was light. Everything about this dish hit the mark (minus the lack of salt/seasoning). The people who worked there were pleasant. They were not rude or disrespectful. However, the way how we were seated was unpleasant. We were a party of 2. We paid for our food. Bought enough of food for 4 people, because we wanted to try as much as we can. However, we couldn't sit at a table next to the harbor. We had to sit at a high table with a busted umbrella that that food stain AND the tables were next to the line. So as you're eating, people next to you are waiting online can look and hear your conversation. Mind you, there was a table left that was next to the harbor but they wouldn't give it to us because they want to give that to a family of 4 or more. It is just very poorly managed or it could be that we're not "special" enough to be seated next to the harbor. Note: Obviously, I don't feel privileged enough to be eating there. When they said they're not willing to give me the seating next to the harbor, I kindly asked them to pack my food to go. Again, the staff was pleasant but their subtle entitlement is what threw me off. I do NOT recommend this place at all for a good seafood fix. There are better places at south shore that will serve "seasoned" food with nicer hospitality.

The food is really good. Bread service set a strong tone - with crispy warm bread, butter and pâté (mmm meat paste). Tuna tartare app was tasty and well plated. Caesar salad was as expected - except foodservice croutons out of a bag (if they toasted up some bread for croutons with that pâté it would be a big elevation). The hanger steak could have been sliced across the grain, and the halibut portion was generous, but a little dry and the mashed potatoes had to carry a lot to help. Deserts were delicious, and the coffee was great. Specials board looked enticing, but as our first time there, we ate off the regular menu. We will be back for sure!

The restaurant, Gatsby's Landing, draws its name from the romantic nostalgia of The Great Gatsby. Situated near the Long Island Sound and Roslyn Pond, the setting offered a beautiful waterfront ambiance. My wife opted for the Baby Roasted Beets Salad, Salmon, and Crème Brûlée, while I chose the Lobster Bisque, Squid Ink Tonnarelli, and Tiramisu. The menu highlights their commitment to fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients - a promise they certainly delivered on. The dishes were both delicious and generously portioned. It was clear the kitchen doesn't skimp on quality; for instance, the lobster bisque was loaded with tender lobster meat, the squid ink tonnarelli featured an abundance of blue crab, and the salmon was a substantial, thick-cut fillet. The chef clearly possesses a mastery of technique, knowing exactly how to pair garnishes and balance flavors in perfect harmony. Furthermore, the waitstaff was both diligent and courteous. We can see why this establishment is so popular--the combination of exceptional cuisine, attentive service, and the serene lake views is hard to beat. However, there is one area for improvement: the restaurant should consider replacing their current chipped plates with larger, more elegant dinnerware. High-quality presentation would better reflect the dignity and caliber of the food they serve.

The server told us words to the effect that they take the order for everything at the same time because if later the restaurant is packed, the kitchen gets overwhelmed, and, also, they bring out the food whenever it's ready. As requested, we gave her our order for everything, but ultimately she was able to just serve the appetizers first and then pause until we were done with them before she brought out the main courses.
