There's a bit of lemon but mostly the delightfully briny/sweet meat takes the lead. Here is what I ordered: 1. Lobster roll (x2 the meat) $57 My daughter had this and it was good. Not the best but relatively good compared to a lot of other places in the area. 2. Fried flounder sandwich $22 Tasteless!!! There was absolutely no seasoning to the flounder nor the batter that it was fried in. I swear it tasted like "nothing." 3. Clam chowder (forgot the price) Upon opening the container, we saw a film of oil on the top. Having lived in New England for a couple of years, I have had my fair share of clam chowders and this was just missed the mark by a bunch. My daughter and I had a spoonful of this chowder and it was awful. The chowder was gritty and not smooth. Also, the color was off (beige color). Yes, it was beige color and not that smooth white color. It had no clam taste, but rather a taste of that bottle container clam juice you get from the grocery store. We never went past after the one spoonful. Yes, it was that awful. 4. Clam bellies (forgot the price) Again, no seasoning. However, it was fresh and the best thing we ate. The clam bellies were good size. The batter was light. Everything about this dish hit the mark (minus the lack of salt/seasoning). The people who worked there were pleasant. They were not rude or disrespectful. However, the way how we were seated was unpleasant. We were a party of 2. We paid for our food. Bought enough of food for 4 people, because we wanted to try as much as we can. However, we couldn't sit at a table next to the harbor. We had to sit at a high table with a busted umbrella that that food stain AND the tables were next to the line. So as you're eating, people next to you are waiting online can look and hear your conversation. Mind you, there was a table left that was next to the harbor but they wouldn't give it to us because they want to give that to a family of 4 or more. It is just very poorly managed or it could be that we're not "special" enough to be seated next to the harbor. Note: Obviously, I don't feel privileged enough to be eating there. When they said they're not willing to give me the seating next to the harbor, I kindly asked them to pack my food to go. Again, the staff was pleasant but their subtle entitlement is what threw me off. I do NOT recommend this place at all for a good seafood fix. There are better places at south shore that will serve "seasoned" food with nicer hospitality. read more

Service is decent given it's popularity and somewhat limited seating. But it is well organized and you need to order before you are able to be seated. Opens seasonally so check before you go. I was here the week of labor day so they were luckily still open. But they are about to close for the season. Stunning views of the Bay and at sunset, it's so serene. This was the perfect week to come vs the busy summer days. The place gets packed at prime dinner time (6pm-8pm) so head over earlier or come right at 7:30pm...that's the sweet time slot. Tables cannot be reserved and when it's super busy, a staff member will assist in securing a table once you've gotten your food. Sometimes you'll have to share a table, it's a courteous thing to do and when it's that busy, everyone just wants to enjoy their food with the view. Be nice! Onto the food: love the clam chowder - full of ingredients and it's the perfect balance of creamy but not too heavy. The lobster roll served with fries, the baked fish served over farro and the whole belly clams entrees are my go-to choices almost every visit. I like what I like and between the salad and slaw - you get your vegetables in. For the non-seafood options, there's the impossible burger, grilled cheese (so good!!), hot dog and cheeseburgers just to name a few. There are salad options too with or without proteins. I ordered scallops, they brought me shrimp. They took it back & returned with a soggy "farro" crap with 5 scallops on top ( that were barely cooked). Awful food. I looked at other people's lobster rolls & seemed attractive looking, which they should be at $30!!! The view is nice, the music is awful. We had a great time here today! A real vacation feel right on the marina. We arrived at 2:30 on Sunday for a late lunch and had no problem getting a table and no wait to order. They packed out that nice toasty buttery split top roll with some plump lobster. It's not too saturated with Mayo, it's the perfect amount. We also got the stuffed quahog. I've never had anything like it. It had Portuguese sausage and was seasoned to perfection. We also got an order or the fried clam bellies seafood platter. This was the only reason I didn't give it a 5. At $27 it's a little pricy, you don't get that many clams and they could've used a little seasoning in the batter but they did have a wonderful crisp.
