To be honest, I didn't stop here for gas. While driving, I wanted to grab some Krispy Krunchy Chicken. Did a search and found out they carry it here at Dixon Gas & Shop. The roommate and I dropped by on Sunday, October 21st around 5:15pm. I walked into their convenience store and grabbed two orders of their Crunchy Chicken ($4.79 each) and a Diet Pepsi ($1.99). The cashier was super nice. Tried to pick out the better pieces of chicken for me since there wasn't much left. I thought about passing on the chicken since there was only a small amount of wings left, but since we stopped specifically for this, I had to try it. The chicken was good and definite crispy, but super salty. Not a reflection on this gas station stop, but just a note if you are stopping specifically for chicken. Maybe coming earlier int he day is better. As a gas station, this place is huge and feels like a truck stop. Plenty of room for big rigs and such to get gas. I imagine this type of gas station in the middle of nowhere along some kind of trucking route. The roommate is a little bit of a brand wh*re when it comes to gas, so we went across the freeway and filled up at another more commercial station. Not a bad gas station to fill up if you drive a huge truck. There's plenty of room for whatever large tractor trailer, etc, you may have. read more

I want to go there to fill up my work trucks bc they have high speed pumps but the ATM machines never work at the pump. When you have a truck with a XL fuel tank high speed pumps are a huge time saver. It seems to me like this store is just poorly maintained and not managed well. This place looks like something you would findin a horror movie on a long deserted stretch of highway. It's old and run down. But as I opened, it is functional. Junkie off-ramp, junkie station, but good prices. This station would probably not be considered the Cadillac of gas stations. It's actually quite a rough road to get to the gas station, and the gas station itself seems pretty junkie to me. However, I must admit the prices are about the cheapest around. NOT TRUCKING FRIENDLY!! Fully available lot with plenty of spots and, even though I was out of legal hours to drive, they would NOT allow me to park there and threatened to TOW!! BAIT AND SWITCH!! Do not come here. They will show one price and charge you another price. I went to get a Diet Coke. The price on the fridge said $1.99. Said all coke cola products $1.99. I go to pay and they want to charge $2.10. When I show them the price they said so what you pay this price. I showed them the $1.99. The cashier told me so what it's $2.10 and if you keep complaining its $4.00. I told them to shove it up their butt. They are a scam. read more

I've been coming to this place for a long time, and a few of the cashiers are really awesome. Scott (I think his name is?) Always has the best attitude and always makes me feel welcome, the big Nepalese guy too, I wish I could remember his name. As for the review below giving one star because sometimes they don't know %100 english and didn't know the difference between club soda and soda? C'mon really? That upset me a little so I though I'd leave my own review. They have some amazing employees, and the prices are lower than your average gas station, and they usually have cheaper gas too. They advertise their cash price on the billboard and claim debit card purchases are the same. However, they charged me for the credit card price, which is ten cents more per gallon. I spoke with the manager to remedy the problem. She was rude and less than helpful. They lost my business for a mere $2.50. read more

Reliably and perenially the cheapest unleaded gas in the Sacramento valley. If you're heading westbound to the bay, fill up here. The shop has two checkstands, interestingly, and is pretty filled to the brim with product. Furthermore, there is a lot of space on this lot to just park and rest if you want, with a separate, sequestered area set aside just for diesel pumping. read more

Went today for the fried chicken to see if it was good and more importantly, to test if they really are crooked as our fellow Yelper S W. stated in an earlier review. I feel so strongly about my negative transaction that it has incited me to write my first review. Ordered an 8 piece mixed for $10 and the guy behind the counter (a Mexican with a buzz cut) threw in 3 extra pieces as a "nice and friendly gesture". At this point, I was already skeptical as to how much I would be charged even before the server told the cashier "8 piece mixed". Lo and behold, when I went to pay, the cashier (a woman in the high forties/low fifties, dark short hair, and wore glasses) charged me $18.64. I told her the sign at the chicken counter clearly stated it was $10.59 and she shrugged. I only complied since the guy threw in 3 extra pieces and I also was short on time. Otherwise, I assure you I would have gone to h*ll and back ensure I was charged the correct amount. Furthermore, the sign at the chicken counter stated a 12 piece mixed only costs about $15. With tax, this does NOT add up to $18. I also paid in cash to avoid the debit card scam as suggested by S W. This strongly demonstrates that the 2 workers cooperated to overcharge customers. For some, it may be difficult to argue that they got overcharged due to the "friendly gesture" of extra pieces. However, if this happens to anyone in the future, I suggest you demand that the extra pieces be taken out and to take the sign from the chicken counter to the cashier to counteract the overcharge. Otherwise, I suggest you leave the chicken at the counter and walk out. The chicken was also dry and unflavorful so it was definitely NOT worth the money. I hope everyone reading this will learn from my experience and go someplace else such as Popeye's for fried chicken. While it may be true that they have cheap gas, I highly doubt it is of high quality and will not be worth the money lost if you get money siphoned out of your debit card, overcharged, or end up with a ruined engine for your car. Save yourself the time and trouble and just spend the extra few dollars at a trustworthy restaurant and gas station. Avoid this place to put it out of business and to leave the crooked workers jobless. read more

I have to take the time to say kinds words here. I ment to gosh over a year ago now. I was on my way home from the bay area and some how absent mindedly (imagine that) not only forgot to fill up but also FORGOT MY WALLET! I was stuck. I went to a couple of places, mind you this is like 3am, and attempted to get a few bucks for a little bit of gas to get home. (I unfortunately have had to do this before do to my forgetfullness although I was quite a bit younger) Of course no one was even trying to hear let alone help me. I can't say that I blame them. Any way, I ended up here. After about 10 minutes or so the young employee Sandeep? offered to give me $10.00 to get gas to get home. (YES THAT IS ACTUALLY ALL I NEEDED. smh) I was beside myself. I said I would mail it to him when I got home. .. It took me longer than that to do it. I ended up just driving back to the gas station because I couldn't even remember the name of it and gave him $20 for being so cool. I'm pretty sure they exclusively hire tweakers, and their pumps never seem to work. Always says "pumps shut off" however if you're looking for a good ol fashion raping and maybe to witness a hobo knife fight, come here after the sun sets, this is the place to go! read more

This business is CROOKED. DO NOT USE CREDIT OR DEBIT, they will keep charging you. We had $120 taken out every month for 5 months, until we noticed we had not been through there and the most recent was 4 $74 charges on our debit card on the same day!!!
