Mid day pick me upper! First time at a Dutch Bros Coffee. Choice of either drive thru or do a walk up. They have a few picnic tables to hang out at. The drive thru was nonstop. Rolling through dixon after the high school football game, late night drive back to Sacramento and a chance to stop at another Dutch Bros was a definite stop. 1st glance driving by before we had to flip a U-Turn. Never a let down. I was stopping by to get some gas and I happen to see a branch nearby. I was getting tired from the drive and I needed a little pick me up. This particular Dutch Brothers did not look as packed as others that I've been to, but that did not sway them from quality service and quality food. After sitting at the drive-through for no more than 10 minutes, a worker came out to take my order so that I would not have to wait to get to the front. They were at least two cars ahead of me and for whatever reason it was taking a little bit longer for one of the cars to complete their transaction. Not only did I receive what I ordered, it was tasty, it was correct, and it hit the spot. To be honest, I hope they do not set up a branch in the bay area simply because I believe it would be watered down. My brother-in-law seems to think that my dog is going to want to go back there often and I really wouldn't be surprised if she whines a tad when in the area. This is the second time in a little over a month that I have both observed and have been subject to DB personnel acting in an unprofessional manner. Both incidents revolved around me being the ONLY customer in the drive through waiting for service. Both times the young lady at the window was chatting up someone in their vehicle after they had already received their beverage! WHAT IS UP WITH ALL OF THE GUM BUMPING??!!! I use to go to this Dutch all the time. But the customer service has gone downhill a lot over the years unfortunately. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of how good the service USE to be. The last two times I went are the last times. I went at 1am to get a drink and there was a line, no problem. However the girl kept talking to the people at the front of line, even after she handed them their drinks she kept talking to them! It was a good 10 minutes until I finally honked my horn. She yelled at me that she was "by herself" which I completely understand but if you're working alone and you have a line, I would be moving as fast as possible, not chit chatting. My final time I went wasn't as bad, but just creepy? I ordered my drink and pulled up to get it. The girl didn't say a word to me, she just awkwardly stared me down. Once again, Dutch brothers has my undying business and loyalty. They seem to handpick a certain type of staff and you don't see that just anywhere. Thank you again Jared. So today - 8/9/2020 I was met again by sweet Jared, who has always gone above and beyond in his customer service skills, only to find out that he will no longer be with Dutch Bro's. I am deeply saddened to hear this. I cannot believe that work politics has forced him to resign. He is the last of the great ones. So After years of convincing I finally gave into my daughters letting me know how good Dutch Bro's is...or in our house "Dutch", Bro's, Bruh's , or just DB. So after a very short trip from our house we pulled into this place. Line was long but service was quick. They take the In N Out approach and have workers working the cars in the parking lot. This is great because it really does get things moving along. I have to tell you I was pretty impressed and have enjoyed going ever since. My favorite is their cold brew probably the best I have had and really is much smoother than Starbs. 1 star for quality of drinks , prices, and customer service. Maybe everyone knows this and I was not aware but apparently if you do not tip on your $7 drink they poured out of a slushie machine and added a pump of syrup, then you will get dirty looks and poorly made drinks.
