I took my vehicle in for a service and Ted was so friendly and helpful. It's so nice that they have a shuttle to take you home, so you don't have to wait. Driving to Davis, we accidentally ran over a piece of spare tire and it hit the vehicle really hard. We pulled over and noticed that there was leaking underneath the car, just to be safe we decided to go to a mechanic shop. A huge shout out to I think his name was Daniel, he took care of us completely and he just did a quick check let us know that we were good to go and the issue where the coolant was leaking wasn't a immediate issues to be dealt with. Took my truck in for an alignment. Had some front toe issues because my tires were starting to wear on the inside of the tire. I did the rotation myself and brought it in. They proceeded to have my truck for a total of 20 min to tell me that they weren't gonna do it because it would be for no reason. Explained that I needed all new arms and sway bar links/bushings. And that it was gonna cost 1900 dollars to "fix". Mind you, I rotated my tires 2 days prior to bringing it in, checked my front brakes, and the usual bearing, suspension check and it all looked fine to me. No play or loose parts. Very shady business in my opinion. Would suggest taking your vehicle elsewhere. read more

I hit a large pothole and my alignment slipped enough to make steering wheel crooked when driving in a straight line. Based on all of the positive reviews, I decided to get my car aligned at Dixon Tire Pros. My experience was far from positive. Making an appointment was easy enough, the waiting room was nice, and the employees were professional. I was told the alignment would take 45 minutes to 1 hour so I decided to wait. It ended up taking 2 hours but they were very busy so the extra time is understandable. Up to this point I was totally satisfied with the service I received. When I got home I went under my car to mark the alignment cams so I could put them back myself if they slipped again and that's when I noticed the damage. The exhaust was scraped up, there were scratches on the subframe, and the driver's side frame rail was noticeably dented (see picture, the frame rail should be straight along the red line). I brought my car back in to get them to fix it or at least give me some sort of compensation so I could get it fixed myself but even though they admitted that they damaged the car, they said the damage was "superficial" and that "sometimes low cars scrape going up the ramps". First, just because nothing actually broke and the damage was "superficial" doesn't mean that it is acceptable. What if a door got dented or paint got scratched? Is that superficial damage acceptable? Second, my car has more ground clearance than a Camaro, an Audi S5, and many other cars. If your shop can't handle sports cars then don't offer to work on them! Dixon Tire Pros may usually have good service when everything goes right but so do a lot of other places. A truly good shop takes care of their customer when things go wrong as well. If you decide to try this place, make sure to take lots of pictures of your car beforehand just in case. I am seriously disappointing in the service I received and would recommend you go somewhere else. read more

I have really come to appreciate this place recently. My daughter needed some minor maintenance and repairs on her car and after a few weeks of confusion I was able to bring it here with minimal inconvenience and reasonable cost to have some bulbs replaced, oil change, fluids checked, a seat belt replaced. To be honest I'm baffled about the whole "for this problem; take it here, but for that problem; take it there" situation with cars. Why is it so complicated?In the words of Michael Scott: Explain this to me like I'm a 5 year old. Or better yet; don't. Just handle it. And they did, very simply, just handled it. Thank you. On way to pick up family the day before Thanksgiving. Check engine light came on and car started to sputter. Called Dixon Tire Pros and was told to bring it in. They diagnosed the problem and fixed it within an hour. Polite, friendly and got me back on the road in time to pick up people from Sacramento airport. Long story short. Clipped a curb on a lengthy boat trailer, bent the rim in, blew the tire. We were on a tight deadline to get to Tahoe before the marina closed. After we blew the tire we figured we were screwed. Looked up the closest tire shop (Dixon Tire Pros) They had the rim fixed, and tire reinstalled before our lunch at the nearby Mexican restaurant even came. The owner Ted is great! I recently had service at their location for the first time this week. Being new to the area I was in search of a good reliable mechanic. This business was recommended by two people so I picked them. I had two jobs in one week that needed to get done. The first was a alternator and battery replacement and the second a regular oil change. The first repair was reasonably priced and I used their shuttle service to get back home and to the shop when done (great service btw). The owner even drove me back! They even threw in wipers for free without me even asking and took me in with no appointment right away. So when I needed an oil change I scheduled an appointment for a few days later as I needed my car and couldn't wait that day. My second service was an appointment first thing in the morning. I was on time and checked my car in and was told it would be 45-60 wait so I Decided to walk around and come back. Upon my arrival back I noticed my car parked in the same spot when I left it. The same woman who checked me in helped me again to see if my car was ready (this was a little over an hour later). When she came back I was told a car was left from the night before and she had just found out so my car was being worked on now. Of course this upset me as I had things to do so I explain my frustration in a calm manner as it appeared my car was forgotten pushed off to the side like a walk-in. The woman politely argued with me all these excuses to which did not solve the issue and did not take any responsibility. I asked to speak to the owner and I spoke with Ted. He was much more understanding. Not only did he walk outside to ensure the work was being done, he also checked the paperwork to see if there was any errors. Sure enough he found that the ticket was mis-identified cuz the "appt" part on the form was very small and easily missed. This was why my car was still sitting in the spot I left it. It seems they thought it was a walk-in. Had I not walked in to check on my car who knows how long it would have taken. Ted spoke to employees about the error to correct in the future and offered a free oil change. The staff could really take some great pointers from their owner. It wasn't that the oil change was free, it was more he listened to me and took corrective action to resolve the matter instead of arguing. I was going to pay either way for the service as it needed to get done. But Ted's actions made the difference in me being a repeat customer and providing his business as a recommendation to others. Hello Yelpers! So I recently took my sons new car over to Dixon Tire Pros for an alignment. Upon arriving on our first visit we were greeted very warmly and professionally by the owner Ted. "Teddy to us now). He told us we needed new tie rods before he could do an alignment or it would just be a waste of money. So we replaced the tie rods and unfortunately the car still wouldn't align properly. So he said the tires were the wrong size for the car and told us he would order them and put them on the car with no obligation to purchase them. Just so we could see what the real problem was. He picked up the tires himself the very next day and he was absolutely right. So he gave us a phenomenal deal on the tires (way way below any competitor's prices. He took it with my son for a test drive and made a few adjustments and absolutely awesome. Not only does he stand behind his work he treats everyone like family. Melissa was terrific and Risky the mascot was the most adorable dog I've met in a long time. I will be bringing all 6 of my cars exclusively to Teddy and his great team! Try him!!!! I came looking for tires for my auto transport truck. I was able to browse a couple vendors from his computer and I found a great deal on the tires I wanted. I had gone to less schWab but their service and selection was nothing compared to Dixon tire pros. Ted, the manager even offered same day service even thought the tires were in a different city! Very hot Friday afternoon before Labor Day weekend, and our Volvo breaks down. Turns out it's a faulty alternator that was replaced a week or so earlier by a mechanic in Petaluma. We're in panic mode, stuck in Vacaville off I-80 on our way to Sacramento to visit family. Our Petaluma mechanic helps direct us to another NAPA AutoCenter to get the thing replaced under warranty. But, it's 4 pm and all mechanics are home for the holiday. No luck, baking in our broken down car in 100 degree heat...until we call Tire Pros. They wait 'til after 5 pm when we can get the car towed to their shop. Ted, the owner, is waiting for us. (Did I mention it was a Friday before a long weekend?) He takes his time with us and assures us that it will be fixed by the time we have to head back to Los Angeles on Sunday. He calls us early on Saturday with an update. Alternator is replaced (under warranty) and during the process, his technician found a lose wire which may have been causing a short. We pick up the car, we make it to LA, and it's still running fine. I can't say enough about the professional and courteous service we received. It's always worth recommending a good mechanic since they can be far and few between. read more

I first started coming here a couple of years ago when I needed a tire patched and have continued to rely on these guys for any and all car issues despite the fact that I no longer live in Dixon. I've gotten my oil changed here, I've bought tires here, I got new brakes here, I've had them check out strange sounds... they've done it all for my car. The owner Ted and his team are extremely knowledgeable and friendly and they really take the time to explain to me what's going on with my car in plain terms and they have NEVER tried to get me to buy extra things I didn't need. I always feel confident that when I come here I'll get the straight story about what's going on with my car and I'll get a clear explanation of the options I have for repair. This place used to be a Big O Tires and I was relieved when they switched to Tire Pros that the management and team remained the same. They're a great, hardworking bunch of guys. They offer a shuttle service if you need to be dropped off somewhere while your car gets worked on but there's also a comfortable waiting room with coffee, water, and a TV where you can hang out. I needed some new tires so I went over to my favorite site (tirerack.com) and ordered a set of continental dws. This was my first time replacing tires while I've been at UCD so I had to find a new installer. Just going off tire rack's recommendation I chose Dixon Tire Pros. To start, phone service was simple, friendly, and prompt. I brought my car in shortly after calling and got my paper work filled out and my car went in. The waiting area is probably the nicest I've ever seen in any auto shop(minus stealerships, but that's why they cost 3x as much). Comfy leather chairs, a big TV, and some computers set up so you can do some research if you need to. I got lucky and came in on a pretty empty day, so I was in and out with my 4 new tires in 50 minutes. read more

Excellent customer service. Very knowledgable staff. Ted the owner/operator of the Dixion location cares about customers. I drove from Sacramento, 25 minutes away. I came in with a tire problem that originated from another Tire Pro location. Ted and his management went above and beyond to make sure my issue was resolved to my satisfaction. This involved getting the area manager and tire pro corporate involved. In the end, I'm a satisfied customer. I would recommend this location for any service they provide. They stand behind their work and their brand. UPDATE - while they were fixing my tire issue a brake problem was discovered. This also was a Tire Pro issue that originated from another location. Ted's crew immediately went into action to determine the best course of action. Resolution TBD. It was determined that the service / parts are not under warranty after 12 months / 12000 miles under Tire Pro. Customer to pay out of pocket for repair. Andrew the store manager tried his best to located the vendor / manufacture to see if there was a possibility of warranty there. Much appreciated. read more

I cheated on Dixon Tire Pros (DTP) and went to Les Schwab for some stupid reason. I learned the hard way after receiving the worst customer service I've had in a long time at Les Schwab. Every time I've visited DTP, I've received the best service. Sorry Ted for cheating on you. I'll forever be a customer of yours. Dixon Tire Pros got me out of a tough spot: Saturday, 500 miles from home, I encountered a particularly severe street dip in downtown Dixon. Bang, something began rubbing underneath my Toyota. It wouldn't go away, I couldn't see anything. I stopped @ Tire Pros and manager Ted put my car on a hydraulic lift and he and Andrew located and fixed my problem (not serious).
