I've been a loyal customer of the Dixon Les Schwab for several years now, and they continue to earn my business. This is the second set of tires I've purchased from them, but I've also brought in vehicles with tires that weren't purchased through Les Schwab, and they've always provided the same great level of service. I stopped in today for a tire rotation as a walk-in and got lucky--there was no wait at all. My customer service representative, Marco, was incredibly helpful and professional. The team got my vehicle in right away, and I was back on the road in less than 20 minutes. While I waited, I was reminded why I enjoy coming to this location. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, with a TV, complimentary popcorn, drinks, and vending machines available. It's a small thing, but it makes waiting much more pleasant. I also had a question about my tire pressure, and Marco took the time to explain it. He let me know that although my vehicle's recommended pressure is lower, my tires are fine running at 42 PSI and can safely go up to 51 PSI. Since my tires typically fluctuate between 42 and 48 PSI, it was reassuring to get that information directly from someone knowledgeable. Good customer service seems harder and harder to find these days, which is why I appreciate businesses that consistently get it right. They used to be fast and good but they no longer seem to be. I had an appointment for a tire change and alignments and waited in the store for over 3 hours. Then the balance seemed to be off so I set up an appointment to have my tires rebalanced. It took almost 2 hours to get my car back. I personally would recommend another tire shop in town. Our PSI was dropping rapidly and I was worried we wouldn't make the drive back home (I'd also never had a flat tire ever before!). Dealing with the Public is not easy. But the crew at the Dixon Store have been doing a great job for me, for at least the last 10 years. Some customers get mad when the law clearly states a sidewall hole can't be fixed and the tire needs to be replaced. I have a lot of different types of tires in service, they can repair legal situations, and inflate large and odd tires... few other will even try. The pricing is always fair and they still have the popcorn machine going. Long time Manager Tim is going to retire in August after 33 years, we'll miss him there, but see him out at local events and wish him well. There are other tire stores in the area, all seem okay in their own regard, but Schwab in Dixon has always been first rate for me and I keep going back, a lot. thank you read more

Just now pulled into this Tire Center with a warning light on in our car saying the Tire Pressure was low. These guys checked for flat, rebalanced the tire pressure across all the tires, and showed us how to recalibrate the warning light all in under 5 minutes of our arrival. Highly recommend! read more

Don't go anywhere else but Les Schwab in Dixon. I needed an alignment for my car before I installed 4 new tires. I met with Joe, Tyler, Calos, and Tim. They explained the process, listened to all my questions / concerns, and provided excellent answers. They even provided shuttle service to my home while the work was performed. I already ordered a set of tires from Costco.com, but now I'm considering canceling the order, and purchasing a set of 4 tires from Les Schwab in Dixon. Costco may have better prices, but they can't compete with Les Scwabs customer service. Getting tire work at Costco Vacaville has recently been a pain, because you have to schedule an appointment, otherwise it takes the up half a day wait for walk in service. If you bring your own tires. Beware - Incompetent Technician at Dixon shop. Recently took my car to have a tire checked due to a slow leak. I was told that the nail placement on tire rendered it unrepairable. I would need to purchase 4 new tires, instead of just 1, because the tread on the the "all-wheel drive" tire didn't meet their replacement standards. I declined the service and purchase because it didn't make sense to me. I took the car to get a second opinion and was told the nail had not punctured the tire. All I needed was a new valve stem which was causing the slow leak. I'm going to say that the Les Schwab technician was incompetent instead of saying that they tried to scam me for over $1000. read more

Where to begin? I brought my kia here to get new breaks a few years back because I had worn to break pads entirely down to the calipers. I had all four breaks replaced entirely for a pretty penny. I was happy with the service at the time. But about a year later one of the calipers failed and started hemorrhaging break fluid. No problem - sometimes there are faulty parts and they need to be replaced. I called them to have the caliper replaced under warrantee. I was told that it was not under warrantee anymore, which was wild because I barely drive this car and it had only been a year. There was no way I had driven 20,000 miles already. Upon closer inspection of my receipts from a year before I found that the mileage had been incorrectly noted for the rear breaks. They were completed a whole month before the front breaks and yet the mileage noted was 10,000 miles higher than in the front break paperwork. When I brought this to their attention, they immediately apologized and honored the warrantee. This would've been a positive review if the saga stopped there. Problem solved, right? Unfortunately, when I picked up my car the parking break no longer worked. My car simply rolled down my driveway. I was told to pump the parking break a bunch to fix it - this did not help. I brought it back to the shop the next day and they checked it out and determined that "nothing was wrong" and "the parking break isn't supposed to be able to hold the car anyway". They were completely unconcerned that my car would go rolling into traffic. When I got the car back, they had pumped the parking break so much that it held on my driveway for a solid minute before rolling down again. It's a good thing I sat in the car to see if the break would hold instead of just trusting them because it would've rolled into traffic and seriously hurt someone if I had gotten out of my car. When I called back, they maintained that it was fine that my breaks didn't work - they weren't supposed to work! They were very patronizing and talked down to me while they explained that my car was supposed to roll into traffic every time I parked it on an incline. In the end, I took the car to a different Les Schwab location (Woodland) and had them take a look. In a half hour they found that the rear left caliper was a faulty part and wasn't engaging the way that it was supposed to. They replaced the part and sent me on my way. Surprise! The breaks are supposed to actually work. Even on an incline. read more

Brought my car in due to shaking when braking. 8/2024 They did a complimentary brake inspection stated all good but rr is leaking brake fluid and repaired leak and replaced rear disc brakes , rotors, calipers 2 days later 8/26/24. However, took back on 8/29/24 car was still shaking when braking and was told to give time for the rotors to set properly. Did what was advised, however still shaking. Brought car back 3 days later (8/29/24 )due tech not checking front brakes, so they replaced my rotors on the front at no charge, stated front brakes were inspected. Nothing stated about wear of brakes, also Purchased 2 tires for front that same day. During this time and after service car still shaking and now rattling and squeaking while driving and braking. Took back 1 month later 9/24/24 still complaining of same sounds and issues. They stated they cleaned out all of brake dust on fronts. All this time still having shaking and rattling and now squeaking after tire replacement on front and told needed to let the rotors wear a little and it would stop making noise. All of this happened Aug 2024 and Sept 2024. Since then the rattling and squeaking have gotten very bad and loud to the point people were turning to see where the noise was coming from. I had the brakes checked and rotors replaced and they never once told me my brakes were bad after doing several inspections. I could not take anymore of the noise coming from my car. Today I take my car to a different mechanic and find our my brakes are nearly metal to metal and that is why all the shaking, squeaking and rattling is happening. We will never be doing business with Dixon Les Schwab again. read more

I have a rare sports car and it goes through tires faster than most high-powered roadsters. BOTH times I have gone in here, they had high quality Y rated tires for my car in stock. Got me out the door for under $1,500.00 which is a fair price. If you drive a family car that might sound expensive but if you drive a performance vehicle you know that's about the ballpark. The technicians and mechanics are top notch, very knowledgeable and up to date. The entire staff is friendly and professional. I brought my car into the shop to have four new tires installed. Just before arriving, I had entered the trunk of my car and saw that the spare tire was in the proper location. After leaving the shop with four new tires, at a cost of over $500.00, I learned that my spare tire had been removed. I called the shop and asked for my tire to be returned. The manager, Tim, explained that his technicians don't enter the trunk to change my four tires, but that he would talk with the technicians and call me back later in the day or the following morning. Having not heard from Tim, I called the shop in the early afternoon the following day. The salesman I spoke with stated that they had my spare tire. I had to ask him twice if he could return the tire to my home, located about 10 miles away. He finally agreed to return the tire to my home. Shortly afterward, I received a phone call from a salesman named Dennis, who claimed to not have my tire and argued that he could not return my tire. He did, however, offer to sell me a tire. When I realized he would not assist me, I told him I would contact their corporate office and the California Bureau of Automotive Repair to file a complaint. I also asked how I could enter the shop with five tires, spend over $500.00, and leave with only four. He did not offer a reply. I hen contacted the Les Schwab corporate office where I was put through to a voicemail. I left a description of my experience with the Dixon CA store and asked they call me back. The following day, I received a call from the corporate office (I believe her name was Meghan) who promptly told me that she spoke with the store and that she believed the store personnel. I asked if she believed I was a liar and what possible motivation I would have to ask for my spare tire to be returned. She didn't reply and stated that she wouldn't help me, that the phone call was no longer productive, and she hung up the phone. I have never experienced such lousy customer service and greatly regret spending a lot of money in this establishment. I later learned that spare tires are often stolen and sold to auto dismantling yards, as there is no way to track them and people usually don't look for the spare tire in the trunk compartment. I was required to buy one from an auto dismantler for $50.00. I highly recommend you stay away from this business. They have workers who are thieves, a management who doesn't pay attention, and a corporate structure that doesn't provide oversight. In addition, their customer services is lousy. Save your money and buy from a place that charges less and doesn't steal from you. read more

TEN STARS: After debacle with Vacaville Towing and La Mesa RV Center, we called Les Schawb Tires in Dixon. It was after hours for them. An angel named Zack came out quickly with a large truck FILLED with all kinds of appropriate equipment. He used the correct tools, got the tire removed and the spare attached and was gone in minutes (For transparency, they charged us double time for after hours. Well worth it!). The next day we went to Les Swawb to buy another spare. They said it would be a 2-hour wait. It was 1 hour. None of the employees stop hustling the whole time we were there. We were heading up to Tahoe with a severe weather warning for the evening...had to get chains which were hard to find for our size tires. Called the Fairfield Les Schwab and the guy who answered was as nice and professional as could be. Said he could get the chains we were looking for by next morning or if we were in a hurry he could tell us where we could find them. He sent us a half hour further up the freeway towards Tahoe (to Dixon Les Schwab which had the chains we wanted)--We got the chains and made it to Tahoe ahead of the storm. This place is amazing. I pulled in at 4pm on a Wednesday desperate for a new set of tires for my 2007 RAV4. I had been putting it off for quite a while but a family emergency road trip brought the issue into focus and required new tires immediately. Heard good thing about Les Schwab. Wanted to give it a shot. Online appointment for brake checks. But after car was done, they said they did alignments on the car instead of doing the brake check. Was never told at the beginning they were working on my alignments. They should make sure they are coordinated with the online system and confirm with customers what is being done on the car when they get there. Will not return again. read more

I arrived a little before 8am and waited patiently for Les Schwab to open. My car was inspected at no charge and the tires were changed out.
