I have been going to Haughn and Son tire services for years. I did not know how lucky I was. While out of town went to Costco for a tire repair. They said that they could not repair my tires because the leak was in the sidewalls on two tires. Costco told me I would have to replace all my tires at a cost of over $600.00 Went to Haughn and Son the leaks were not on the side wall and Haughn repaired the leaks for $50.00. It is great to have an honest company to work with. Instead of making an appointment, having to come back the next day and waiting for over an hour for Costco to tell me they could not repair my tires. Just an hour into our drive to Lake Tahoe, our car notified us that one of our tires had a sudden significant decrease in pressure. Thankfully we were able to drive to the nearest exit that had several tire shops and we pulled up to the closest one. That shop initially quoted us an hour and a half wait just to get seen and told us we had to wait at the shop. We had 2 little ones with us and knew that would not have been easy and the wait would delay our trip to Tahoe significantly. I looked at other options nearby and called Haughn and Son to see what the wait time would be. The gentleman who answered the phone told us we would be seen right away and so we took our chances and drove on over. We pulled up to the "front" of the shop and didn't see anyone initially but was helped by the nice lady in the office next to the door to the front desk. They told us to drive to the back and the mechanic (sorry I didn't catch his name!) really did get to work as soon as we pulled up. I explained what happened and he was pretty sure we ran over a nail. He removed our tire and sure enough found the nail and patched it up while I took our daughter to their (very clean) bathroom to change her diaper. By the time we finished and went back to the car he was almost done and put the tire back on our car. My husband went to pay and we couldn't believe how reasonable the charge was! We literally disrupted their day and they could have charged us extra just because they took us without an appointment. They could have told us we needed a new tire and we would have believed it. My husband and I had already discussed the potential high cost on our drive to the first tire shop but knew we didn't really have a choice in that situation and just had to get it done. Overall I'm just so grateful for the kindness and honesty from the people from Haughn and Son! Both the lady at the front and the mechanic said something to the effect of "this is just a bump in the road and we will get you fixed and have a smooth rest of your trip up the mountain!" They were so right and we truly appreciate it as it was our first road trip with our little ones. Our 1.5 year old had been screaming for 45 minute before she finally fell asleep right as we hit the nail on the road...so the encouragement we received was much needed. Long story short- thank you Haughn and Son for making what could have been a bit of a disaster to really just a 30 minute detour and we arrived to Tahoe and returned home safely because of you! read more

Driving up to Tahoe with our travel trailer, stopped for lunch and I noticed a hissing noise from one of the trailer tires, and what looked like a nail head stuck in it. Left the wife and kids at Starbucks, took it over to Haughn, friendly young man had the wheel off in minutes, removed what turned out to be a 3" piece of solid metal bar, fixed the tire, reinflated it, had it back on the trailer and nuts torqued to spec all in about twenty minutes. Wow I can't believe this I got a flat on my yard cart 4 weeks ago, aired it up and pulled out a bull thorn. It slowly went flat. Took it off and dropped it off and went back a couple hours later to pick it up payed $10.00. He said their was no hole (guess he just aired it up) brought it home put it by the cart went out in the evening to put it back on. Took it off the jack and its flat. so now I gotta take it off again and go somewhere else to get it fixed right....I sure miss the old owner. Called them the next morning spoke with owner, said to bring in tire and receipt back, but I never got a receipt, went by and they gave me my $10.00 back..wont go back again, They say shop small local business and this what you get. read more

Haughn and Son Tire Service has been a staple in Dixon for years. They provide excellent service at a price that can't be beat. They have taken care of me so many times. My husband works out of town and it never fails that I get a flat when he isn't around, yet Haughn & Sons takes care of me every time. One of the things I like about Haughn & Sons is that they aren't full of BS to try and make an extra buck. You go to Wal-Mart, etc.. and they'll tell you they can't fix the tire, that you have to buy a new tire, or a new set and you go to Haughn's and they fix it and you're back on the road in less than 30 minutes for $20! They also provide propane tank fill ups. Just a warning though, they aren't the cleanest place - there isn't a fancy waiting room - but if you are conservative, you'll love the comics on the wall! read more

I had a really tough job that I needed a tire pro to come out and fix. It happened outside of Rio Vista, so my dumb luck brought me to Haughn in Dixon. The job was to replace 6 tires (slashed by a maniac, but that's not part of this story) on a big boat trailer, in a hard-to-get-to place just west of the middle of nowhere on swampy ground. Got it done for.... ready for this? $70 a tire. Jim's a class-act pro, did a tough job with skill and speed for a great price -- I'd recommend Haughn without hesitation as a top-tier outfit. They know what they're doing and they get you rolling for a good price, even if the job would make lesser men tremble! Jim's tech (sorry, forgot his name but he's a tire-tossin' force of nature) came out and worked so hard, and with such a great attitude that just blasted away every obstacle. I have so much appreciation. Seeing someone who could pull that off was impressive. read more

I would like to give them five stars but the only issue I have with them is that I special ordered some items with them recently and discovered too late that I was shorted on those items, for which they originally quoted me one price, then upon arrival, doubled the charge (bait and switch); and even then, I later found these exact same items/brand on Amazon six times cheaper. There was a screw in it, so he filled the tire up as good as he could, then followed me to the shop so they could repair the tire! Even stayed open a little later to finish it. I was in a bad auto accident that left two friends responsible to get our trailer back home. A tire had been lost on the way out, and unfortunately another lost on the freeway just outside of town. The second spare was on a rim that wouldn't fit over the hub. Almost closing time - really could have taken advantage of us. We were hauling a big trailer of firewood and got a flat on our trailer tire. We called the business that we originally got the tires from because they advertise that they have great customer service (no names, but rhymes with Less Slob)..they basically told me we were SOL. I looked up Haughn and Sons and called them...mind the fact that I had not been a customer previously..I was just a stranded stranger. They sent their guy out to us...our spare was also flat, so he pumped it up and put it on the trailer. Then we followed him back to their shop and he replaced one tire and fixed the spare. The cost for doing all of this? A whopping $70. These guys are getting all my business from now on. I just took my car to them for an oil change...$28 and fast. They do alignments, brakes, etc. Took our dually farm truck over there last weekend and they gave me a screaming deal on tires and alignment.
