Theyve been able to assist in getting a 2nd scooter in hours to me- not even next day! Only downside? Most of the ECVs we have rented were quite worn-however this pas trip I got a brand-new scooter- the delivery person actually took the tags off in front of me. We will use them again and again.

Hello. I have rented from Big Orange Mobility multiple times during the year for the past couple of…read moreyears. Whenever I had a problem, it was addressed immediately and taken care of quickly. I rented a scooter from Thu 11/14/2024 - Mon 11/18/2024 for my trip to WDW. It was the worst experience I have received from Big Orange Mobility or any other scooter service. The scooter shut off while going up the ramp in Space Mountain. If you know the ramps at Space Mountain, you can understand how difficult it was for my daughter, who has arthritis in her hands, to push this machine up the ramp. After the ride I called the Big Orange Mobility. I was told by Nathalie Durand, that the scooter was a new scooter and that when going up a hill, it sometimes will shut down. Really, a "new scooter" that will shut down going up a ramp!! I was insulted that she would believe I was uneducated enough to swallow this bogus excuse. I was then told to push a button located on the battery to restart it. We had to do that in excess of five times while leaving this ride to get it to maneuver up the ramps. It's very inconvenient. It stopped abruptly, causing everyone behind me to run into each other. The battery drained so much after a full charge. I called around 4pm that same day and was told there was not another scooter available. I was met with the confused Nathalie, who stated it was a new scooter, and she could not understand why this was happening. The scooter mimicked the same problem the following day when going up the ramp for the Flight of Passage ride. Thankfully it was a short trip. I knew I would NEVER use Big Orange Mobility again. I don't know if they are under new management, but I have never spoken with Nathalie in my previous rentals. The previous individuals would have handled the situation quickly and would not have insulted my intelligence with such nonsense excuses. Admit your product is defective, take ownership, and make it right!! Big Orange Mobility failed to do this. I took pictures and a video of the scooter. It was scratched and used, and it was unreal. So, to say it was a new scooter was completely false. I was extremely disappointed in Big Orange Mobility. You lost what could have been a long-term customer. Kendra

I got a…read morephone call from Konni as soon as she found out there was an issue with the second scooter. She apologized and allowed me to express my concerns without argument. She gave truly great customer care and told me a third scooter had already been pulled from the wharehouse and was on the way. Apparently the second one was just whatever the guy had on the truck. Being a holiday weekend, I am so appreciative of her going the extra mile as I know they must be swamped. The new scooter is perfect and runs much better than the others. Idefinitely recommend this company. They have done right by me and I am grateful for not getting the brush off. Initial review below: Rented a Maxima scooter for today 9/1-9/4 . I am about 140 lbs below the limit so this ecv should handle me fine, but the one waiting for me at Shades of Green was so squeaky and loud it was giving me a headache. Called and customer service was very nice and sent someone right away. The gentlemen came with a new scooter within an hour, and everyone was so pleasant I wish I could leave a good review, but I can't. I showed the employee what was going on and how noisy the first one was, and he literally said to me that "A lot of them do that." I rent a scooter every time I come to Walt Disney World, and I come every other month. Never have I had one make any noises like this. I told him I would be returning the second scooter if it made noise too, but when I drove it I had no issues. Until I rounded the corner and of course, squeaky loud noises coming from the left rear wheel drive area (the first one has same issue but coming from rear right area) The scooter itself has seen better days and chunks are cut out of the wheels, I'm not sure what the issue is exactly , but I just finished driving 13 hours and I'm too exhausted to do anything other than drive this thing for the next few days. Its a shame really because everyone I have talked to there is kind, like I said I would love to recommend this place. But I can't, and I won't rent from them again.

I read the other reviews and was worried to be honest. We rented three scooters from Yellow…read moreScooters for 10 days at Disney World. We were staying at the Contemporary resort which also rents "Buena Vista" scooters, a more expensive alternative. We could not be more happy with the service we received and the scooters. The scooters themselves were a bit worn but that's to be expected. I wasn't renting them for beauty but for functionality. They worked flawlessly for our entire trip, all three of them. We were at the parks from open to close for 8 of those ten days and not once did the scooters die. We did make a mistake in charging one of the scooters, plugging it into a wall plug that was used with a light and therefore connected to a switch. The switch needed to be turned on to work so when we shut the lights off, the scooter didn't charge. But since it still had half a charge on it we took it out with the charger. We were at Epcot and were able to find plugs in the Land exhibit to charge the scooter. Problem solved. Other than than that, they were perfect. Customer service was great with pick up and drop off at the resort easy as pie. I would rent from them again in a minute.

I would strongly caution anyone considering Yellow Scooter Company, especially if you need…read morespecialized mobility equipment. I specifically chose this company because they advertised an attendant controlled motorized wheelchair, which was exactly what my elderly mother needed for our Disney vacation. On the day we were arriving, I received an email informing me that the wheelchair had been returned broken and that they would instead provide a standard manual wheelchair. Had I known they only had one attendant controlled wheelchair in advance, I would have rented from another company. The motorized attendant-controlled wheelchair was the entire reason I selected Yellow Scooter. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. The manual wheelchair they delivered was in poor condition, flimsy and poorly maintained. The cup holder was nothing more than a slip-on accessory that constantly slid up and down the armrest. When my mother sat down and used the armrest for support, the cup holder shifted. Yellow Scooter charged us $12 for the cup holder. To make matters worse, their representative stated that the wheelchair was rated for 350 pounds. My mother weighs less than 200 pounds, yet the left side of the wheelchair seat continuously rubbed against the wheel for the entire trip. It caused friction while pushing and an annoying sound. The chair felt unstable, cheaply made, and completely unsuitable for 4 day vacation requiring extensive mobility assistance. Day 1 we called to report the condition of the wheelchair and requested a replacement, Yellow Scooter was unable to accommodate us except during a few specific time slots that did not work with our schedule. Our vacation had been planned months in advance, with park reservations, dining reservations, and transportation already arranged. Their inability to provide reasonable replacement options left us stuck with defective equipment for the duration of our trip. The rental process itself was also misleading. Their website asks you to select a preferred delivery and pick up timeand whether you would like to meet the delivery person or simply have the equipment left for you. In reality, we were told the equipment could not simply be left, making that option meaningless. The website also gives the impression that you can choose your time, but only in the fine print does it state that deliveries are limited to certain hours between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The site does not restrict times within this window. What should have been a reliable mobility solution became a source of frustration from the moment we arrived. Between the last minute equipment substitution, the poor-quality wheelchair, the inability to provide a replacement, the charge for a flimsy cup holder, purchasing accidental damage insurance for a chair we did not get and the confusing delivery policies, this was an extremely disappointing experience. If you need dependable mobility equipment and responsive customer service, I recommend looking elsewhere. Save your money and rent from a company that properly maintains its equipment and delivers the service it promises.

With more people going a vacation at this time I also didn't want to risk no scooters being available to rent at the parks. Customer service was great when I called, but I do think that it could be even better if they listed some alternative ways to contact them. The scooter I got, the Victory Pride 10, was left at Bell Services as confirmed and while it didn't die on me in the parks as others have stated, it still had it's issues. First, the scooter had seen better days. Chunks of the rubber protector were gone on the steering portion and the bumper area in the front, the edging was peeling off and dragging the ground at times, the tires were well worn and needed to be replaced, and the scooter "clicked" on one side by the tire. The most upsetting thing about it? The battery charger. This had exposed wires which sparked once I tried to plug it from the scooter. Needless to say I wasn't going to plug it in again. Thank goodness the battery stayed full all day. I can't say I'd rent again from them. I'll pay a little extra for something better maintained and safer.
