Any business is free to establish their own policy and I have no problem with appointment only in fact many jewelry stores operate on that model but I do take issue with them not answering whether they have the piece in store. If I make an appointment and they don't have the watch available isn't that a waste of everyone's time? I've now occupied your staffs time when another appointment could be made with a potential buyer and now I'm put off having wasted time as the piece I'm looking for is not in available for viewing. Since the original jeweler who made my wedding band and engagement ring went out of business many years ago, I needed to find a new local jeweler to help with my jewelry. After many very prompt back and forth messaging via Yelp, I finally found time in my busy mom life schedule to swing by and get my jewelry looked at! Olga and Emma were so kind and patient while discussing with me what we could potentially do with the bracelet. The ring resizing discussion was easy and we were able to settle on how much bigger I'll need the band. They send their jewelry offsite for repairs and were very clear and communicative about the process and cost. Back in 2022, my then-boyfriend and I were deep in the engagement ring rabbit hole, obsessing over diamond certificates and getting frustrated with the options other jewelers were showing us. I found Bonnie through her YouTube videos, which were quite informative, but I'll admit as a Gen Xer, I was initially skeptical of someone with such a big social media presence. Meeting her completely changed my mind. I came in convinced that I wanted a thin pavé band with a full diamond tulip basket. Bonnie was honest and blunt that it was the exact opposite of what she'd recommend for my lifestyle. She would have made it if I insisted, but she warned I'd probably be sending it in for repairs constantly. She was right and I'm so glad I listened. Instead, she helped us create a shared prong setting inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge, a place that meant a lot to our relationship. She executed it perfectly! If you see the Eloise setting on her website, my fiance and I were actually the inspiration for it. The ring is comfortable, durable, and fits perfectly flush with the eternity wedding band (with the same shared prong setting) she later made for me as well. Years later, it has held up beautifully, which really validates all the practical advice she gave me from the start. What really sets Bonnie apart is her honesty and expertise. More than once, she talked me out of choices that would have looked beautiful but worn poorly over time, including convincing me to add the thinnest possible spacer band between my engagement ring and wedding band to protect them from rubbing directly against each other. She also talked my fiance out of getting a bigger stone even though it meant less money for her. The diamond she sourced sparkles like no other. Another detail that I especially appreciated was that when the ring was finished, she coordinated only with my fiance so that the proposal was still a complete surprise. We trusted her so much that we also had her custom-make my husband's wedding band and once again she balanced practicality with bringing his vision to life perfectly. I went into this process with very fixed ideas about what I wanted and Bonnie gently but firmly steered me toward choices that were better for my lifestyle and longterm wear. She's knowledgeable, detail oriented, honest, and incredibly talented. She may seem pricey at first glance, but after going through this process with her, I genuinely think her expertise is priceless. She saved us from expensive mistakes, created rings that have held up beautifully over time, and delivered something even better than what we originally thought we wanted.
