I had a less than stellar visit at this shop. I brought in a Rolex that I didn't know was real or fake. The owner told me he was sure it was fake but he absolutely could not even touch it because of his "reputation"-- i thought that was odd, like what, am I going to tell all his jewlery industry friends that he touched a fake Rolex and therefore ruin his reputation in the rolex world? . I asked him how he could tell (I was genuinely curious) and he said that he could show me it would say made in China on the inside. He opened it up and showed me it said "made in Japan"- I said thank you. Then he said he normally charges a few hundred to do that for clients but because I didn't believe him, he had to "prove it"--- It seemed a very hostile thing to say, I never asked him to open it and I never said I didn't believe him, I was simply curious as to how one could tell. He could have simply told me to open up the back and I would see, and I could have done it myself- I didn't need him to tell me after the fact that he charges hundreds to show someone a made in japan watch insides. It was an old 1970's watch from a safe and I knew nothing of its origins. He then asked me what was wrong with my 7 year old son who was jumping up and down a bit (but not touching anything as I had instructed my son not to when we entered the store) -I told him my son was fine. Overall the whole experience made me think he was having a bad morning or just a bit full of himself. Not a down to earth experience. I have lots of old gold and jewlery, most real, probably some fake- that I wanted to have assessed, and I am always happy to pay for assessment/valuation services. Its nice when they tell you up front what their fees are, and not do something and try to guilt trip you after like he did me a huge favor. And then making comments about my son was really not polite. I guess I am the only one not enamored with this shop since he has so many good reviews. read more

What a great experience I was in about 3 months ago and just thought I would pop in just by chance and found out I could sell him silver my old gold coins a old watch and some other stuff and I got a fair price for them all. He told me what to except so there was no surprises and he paid me cash I was in 7th heaven after leaving and I had mentioned a watch I like and he told me what kind it was and how scarce it was and if I wanted to come back when I was ready he be more than happy to entertain an offer. Well today I can back brought in some gold bars and a bit of cash and got that watch I fell in love with and I was so excited that the price was reasonable and I traded him some gold bars for the watch a small amount of cash and we made a deal right on the spot. I used the gold I brought about 4 years ago and the price was reasonable but I paid far less than the actual price because I had been saving the gold for just this occasion. I got a box and papers which is an extra bonus but that would not matter cause this gentleman is just that I trust him and I left very happy he stayed and got gold and cash and we both had smiles on our faces as I walked out the door. I met Konstantin maybe 3 years ago now. I was looking for someone I could trust to fix my dad's watch. I cracked the crystal. I found him online and decided to go into his business and see how I felt about him. I had a bad experience with Kern's and I told him how they made me feel. The moment I walked into his store I felt welcome and I told him that. He looked at my dad's watch and knew instantly how much it meant to me. He said it would be easy to replace the crystal and so I left it with him. A couple of days later I brought in a ring for him to resize for me. I have been going in ever since that first day. This man is amazing. First off he makes you feel welcome in his shop. He always greets you with a smile and I don't know how he does it but his eyes smile too. The energy in the shop is very positive. Sometimes I look at his designs he has created. Everything is done with love you can tell. Sometimes I have gone in there when he has other customers and I hear how happy he makes them feel and it lifts me up to hear such kind words. I bought in my watch for repair since it stopped working a few weeks ago. Met Konstantin who was extremely friendly and professional. He looked at the watch and he said if parts were needed, the repair may be costly. Given that the watch was relatively a few years worn, he said the watch may still be under warranty and that I should take the watch to an authorized dealer for warranty service. He was 100% correct and the warranty covered the repairs. Konstantin could have repaired the watch at a price, but his willingness to put customers' best interest first, illustrates highly his honesty and integrity. Konstantin has added many sparkles to our lives this year. We went to him to help make our engagement ring earlier this year. He listened to all of my requests and specifications made me the perfect ring. I've gotten so many compliments from my family, friends, and coworkers on how beautiful my engagement ring is. Konstantin is the absolute best! Some backstory - my fiancé bought my ring from Brilliant Earth and I got it resized for the first time in June 2022. By August 2022 the ring had completely split open at the resize site. We didn't want to send it in to BE and have to wait 4+ weeks, so we reached out to Konstantin who was highly recommended by a friend. Konstantin mentioned that it would be cheapest to take the ring back to where we got it because he didn't want us to have to pay when it would be likely covered. He was so knowledgeable, let us know that our original jeweler cut my platinum ring with 10k instead of platinum, and they soldered it back together instead of welding it. After hearing how BE treats customers who pay thousand for rings... We do NOT trust them whatsoever so we decided to leave the ring to be fixed by Konstantin & his team. We had the ring band issue and one diamond that had also split on the band (also a BE issue) fixed in less than 2 weeks! You can't see where the ring was welded back together and the new diamond on the band is incredible. We will go to Konstantin for any and all our jewelry needs from this point on.
