We used DJ Mar for our wedding on August 31st, 2025 and it was anything above amazing. We originally have it for February in Altadena but with the fires we had to change locations and DJ mad but beyond accommodating. With the music he was able to assist with song selections and song recommendations for different parts of the wedding. The equipment was great sounding and his up-lights really enhanced the venue and everyone loved it. The Photo Booth was a nice highlight for the guests especially with the props. I don't think I can fit all the great things I could possibly say about Matthew AKA DJ MAR. He is one of the most professional people I have ever worked with and on top of that he is an amazing DJ. He is such a good DJ, I wouldn't be surprised if I found out one day he was headlining EDC. I recently got married, April 2024. I have never been married before, nor hired a DJ in my life so like most people I was a bit worried hiring someone For our big day. We met him at a wedding open house and we really liked his attitude and how he presented himself. Without looking around for another DJ, we went with our gut and hired him the following week and we are so glad we hired him. He was available via text 24/7 whenever I had a question or concern and was always able to resolve any issues in a timely manner. We had a live musical group play at our wedding ceremony and he went above and beyond to coordinate with them and help them with their audio. DJ MAR arrived early to set up to make sure everything went perfect. He also dresses for the occasion, so you don't have to worry about him coming in shorts and a T shirt for your wedding. I also forgot to add, he is a one man team, so you don't need to hire an emcee and he is a fantastic one at that. We had minor time hiccups during our wedding and DJ MAR was able to adapt without any direction. He is honestly so good at his job, it is impressive. During the open dance portion of our wedding, he did such a great job to pump up the crowd and read the room that he had everyone dancing and I swear I even saw the groom from a neighboring wedding peek into our room at some point and I even saw the security guard dancing! If you are planning a wedding, I wouldn't hesitate to hire him. I think the biggest fear getting married is not hearing from your vendors for awhile and worrying they wont show up. The Scott's Wedding was a success thanks to Matt!!! My husband and I had a very specific vision for the wedding, and we wanted our timeline of events to be untraditional and unique to our vision. He not only encouraged our ideas and the vision, but he helped make our dream wedding come to life with his ideas. Because of him we had THE BEST RECEPTION ENTRANCE ever. We wanted to do something completely different and walk in with a song that usually isn't meant for entrances while driving up into the venue while the song was playing. (I included photos). I ran into DJ Mar at a wedding vendor fair at the Altadena Country Club. He gave me his business card and I called the same day (Sunday) to let him know we were interested and wanted to book a date. He texts me and says he will send the document via email the following day(Monday). My Fiancée and I waited until Friday and still did not receive any email from this vendor. I had to text him to ask whether he sent the email or not. He texts back two days later (which is now 1 full week since we've met) and tells me he "will be sending out the info today for sure."
