For some reason my original review was deleted but FAIR WARNING TO ALL!!! I was a loyal customer to this establishment and although they changed technicians often, I went to the daughter of the owners who is very good. This particular occasion I made an appointment with Hami and she confirmed. Upon arrival she started on my toes when she was interrupted by her mom who then told her to tell me that she no longer does fill-ins. This particular appt. I wanted a polish change on my toes and my regular gel manicure. After finishing my toes Hami told me that she does not do fill ins and recommended me to a young man stationed further in the back. I have no idea why her mom would not want her to work on my hands because she has done so for the past 1 year in a half...but I was like whatever I need my hands done regardless. She could have told me this BS before I drove from Cutler Bay to Miramar. I went to the male tech and long story short, when he was removing the gel polish, he accidentally removed a chunk of my pinky's skin off. My finger started bleeding profusely and then he put some blue liquid on it that made it burn worse. After sitting in pain for 10 minutes I let him continue while taking breaks bc at times the pain was unbearable. I then had to chose a different color for my hands than what was on my toes because after applying two coats polish, the gel color started melting off. So now my hands and toes are a different color and my pinky in pain and horrendous looking. When I went to pay, I told the owner what happened and showed her my finger and she then had the audacity to say, "that's a normal accident". And said I still had to pay full price. So instead of making a scene I just paid and said I will never step foot there again. They have no loyalty to there good customers...and apparently removing a chunk out of their client's skin is normal. read more

One star for being open late and welcoming me inside in a friendly manner. Gel manicure was a complete disaster. Cuticles are an essential part to a manicure. Not doing that the right way or not wanting to do it even after asking nicely before the polish - was mistake number one. It looked like I had done my own nails with all the polish on the cuticles, sides of nails missed, uneven paint job all around. This was done on a Thursday night, yesterday afternoon, Wednesday all paint was chipped and lifting. I came in and explained to the gentleman in the front who asked who did it, interrupted me and told me to sit down - not too nice. The girl literally peeled all my polish off with her own nail (GEL POLISH) that is how watered down this was. She buffed my nails, ignored the cuticles again, and repainted them. This new polish was not the OPI brand, very clumpy - another version of very bad. I'm extremely disappointed, I feel I invested a good amount of money for gel manicure and pedicure and I've had to go back 2 X. Please note I was asked to pay an additional $3 for OPI gel polish which I was never even given a choice or told beforehand of the additional fee -because "cost of the product went up". I will never come here again and throw away my hard earned money. I will not try to fix this any further. This the worst nail experience I've ever had. Good luck to them. read more

Now the service from the nail tech Sheila was excellent! I'm a regular customer, however the male owner who's name starts with an S is rude, very unprofessional & needs help with customer service skills! As I waited for my awesome tech. For my mani & pedi he placed me in the chair & asked what color I wanted per usual. It's Xmas eve im in my emails on the phone etc. I then realized my tech was putting the wrong polish on my feet! Any other day it wouldn't of been that much of a big deal (but I still would've brought it to his attention) I simply asked what was the purpose of asking what color I would like if you weren't going to assist! rating you people one star!!!! i came into dj nails last week on march 4th, wednesday and i got a gel mani & pedi. i needed gel because i was going on a trip which im currently on right now, but let me tell you what kind of gel mani + pedi i got... one that chips both nails and toenails in less than a week. i paid $60 bucks for this shit ? are you fucking kidding me ? when i get back to miami i will be filing a complaint with the manager and letting everyone know what a waste of money you guys are. scammers!!! don't advertise saying gel lasts 2 weeks when it really didn't even last a week. read more

SHE treated me with disgust because the person who was going to pay for my nails was next door doing her stuff, so the lady had to wait a little bit than usual. Walked right in for a Manicure on a Friday which is surprising. They sat me down and waited about 15 minutes for someone to finish their breakfast. Picked out my polish and I noticed the tech water it down with something. Horrible Manicure! After I finished drying my nails there was tons of bubbles. When I got home they had already chipped. I was going to complain when I paid but the owner was having a heated argument with another client who was upset at her gel manicure. I didn't have time to wait until they hashed things out but I will not return. Waste of $15.00! read more

I've been coming to DJ Nails since they opened since I live across the street. For the most part I am satisfied. I never have to wait whether I make an appointment or not. My daughter loves getting a pedicure in the "bear chair" & our fingers & toes always look great. The gel manicure USUALLY lasts, when I get it done here, although I have another I place I go that ALWAYS lasts 3 full weeks. I have never had a negative experience at DJ Nails. They are convenient & professional & fair. read more

I came here I was in a rush and I knew I needed a pedicure but opted for a polish change. Jane was extremely pushy, made a few negative remarks about me just wanting a polish change. I didn't see a price list, but didn't think it would be more than $8-$10. I asked the girl that was doing my feet how much it would be, and Jane came running over to tell me it would be $15. Shocked I asked how much is the pedi would be which was $23. Getting a little annoyed I started to get out of the chair to leave. Jane then told me it would be $8 for her taking the polish off my feet and her cutting down one of my big toes. However, Nikki did a great job on my feet. But I will not be returning, Jane and the guy at the front desk was a little much for me. read more

Went in on NYE morning, expected to wait quite a bit but surprisingly got right in. I went in looking to get the new rage stilleto nails (the long pointy ones) and basically left with long oval nails. I kept asking the guy to make them a little pointier and he just kept telling me "oh no more pointier" ... i guess for only $27 you can't complain too much but lack of knowledge on latest trends and minimal polish choices, they definitely have room for improvement. and to add to it, i normally go and get my nails filled every two weeks and i have multiple nails snap off before even a week. needless to say i will be searching for another nail salon read more

I thought I was the only one that was charged $3 extra for OPI gel polish, but I see that someone named Yolanda P. that posted the same complaint prior in her review is another. Ripping people off is not a good way to stay in business. I would have given 5 stars, but I lowered it to 2 because of the so-called greeter that works at DJ Nails. She is a hustler and changes pricing frequently. In addition, she rudely stated something in Vietnamese, and another worker snickered. I was told by the nail tech that I was assigned to ("Tina") that it would only be $5 more, and that I'd be charged $25 to have the nails removed ($5 per hand, in which I only pay $5 for both hands where I faithfully go in Sunrise, Florida), which totals $10, and $15 to have my own nails done with gel polish. As Tina was done with my nails (in which she did an excellent job and was kind), the so-called greeter told me that I'd have to pay $3 more dollars for OPI gel polish. I immediately told her that there is not a price difference where I go and get the same gel polish where I go. I only went there in an emergency situation, because the acrylic set was worn out and 1 of the nails popped off. I do not desire to go back there again or to recommend anyone to go until that rude lady leaves. read more

LEAVE YOUR IPHONE AND PURSE IN THE CAR if you choose to patronize this establishment . They have a nail tech (male) that's a thief! This young man did my nails, and did a relatively good job.. No complaints there. When he finished my fill, he told me to go and wash my hands b4 he polished. At that point, I did as I always do. I sat my cell phone on the very top of my open purse (so that I wouldn't damage my wet nails trying to retrieve it from inside my purse). I left my purse sitting right in front of him and I went to the back to wash my hands. I was gone less than a minute and when I returned, my phone was gone! I missed it right away . I asked the nail tech what happened to my phone and he immediately began to pat his pockets instead of helping me look for it. A sign of guilt. He was the only one around. No techs or customers on either side of us. As I started to raise hell.. I said "I'm going to walk to the back again and when I return, my phone had better be here!" I walked to the back, and came right back and my phone magically appeared! They (he and the owner) tried to tell me that my phone was there all the time. What an insult to my intelligence!! At that point, I'm steaming and would NOT let it go. I asked to see the security tape and I was told that the camera froze right at the moment that was in question. Now I'm super insulted! I've been patronizing this shop for almost 3yrs. I felt very comfortable there. I was later told by someone else that the thieving nail tech was related to the owner. Which all made sense. Not to mention that it's bad for business to acknowledge that you are employing s thief. Very Disappointing... Only spend your money there if you're desperate.. They don't deserve it! read more

Total scam! I walked in and asked how much for a full set of acrylics. Lady said $20. I was like oh wow what a great deal ( obviously too good to be true) then I sit down and the lady asks me I want gel...I say how much extra does that cost? $10. Ok whatever so it'll cost me $30. Still not bad. Then after I get my nails done I go to pay....$55!!!!????? What?? I say the lady told me it was 30...how is it now $55. "Oh gel is extra and your almond shape was extra too". I am furious. Not only did no one tell me of the extra costs but if I didn't even ask about the gel I would have thought the whole time I was still paying $20. I was so angry I didn't even bother to argue, I just walked out. Total scammers!! Not a good way to run a business and definitely not a good way to keep clients. I will not be coming back read more

I've. been coming to DJ Nails for a while and I can honestly say they're one of the. best nail places I've been to. Always ask for Ann, she is the absolute best!! She is efficient and will always do her best to satisfy you. Both of the guys that work here are great too! They also always try to accommodate their customers and you will never have much of a wait to be served promptly. Definitely recommend! read more
