I contacted this rental company based a recommendation from my fiance's cousin since they used this company for my sister-in-law's wedding. We needed to rent tables, chairs, and 2 different size pipe & drapes for our tea ceremony. I called the company on July 12 because their website was a little confusing. I didn't know where to write what size pipe and drape we wanted. The person who answered the phone just said "Hello?" so I wasn't sure if I was calling the right place at first. I asked if it was One Call Events, and they said yes. I asked my question, and they told me to request a quote via email. I wrote out and sent the email to them immediately after I hung up with them. I provided links to the items I wanted to rent along with how many of each, as well as measurements for the pipe & drapes I wanted. I also provided the date of delivery, date of the event, and date of pickup. I didn't hear back, so I called them one week later on July 19. The woman who answered said she had read my email and would reply with a quote in the next one to two days. I waited, and still no reply. I finally sent another email on July 24 to follow up on my quote request. I received a reply back exactly 30 minutes later asking for the delivery/pickup dates that I needed (I had included it in the original email) and if we needed linens as well. I wrote back to let them know the delivery/pickup dates and that we do not need linens. I did receive a response to my email. I finally called once again on 7/26 and spoke to a woman who remembered my name and my email, and she pulled it up while I was on the phone. She told me that they were out of the white chiavari chairs and only had gold & clear left. I said clear chairs. Shortly after I finally received the quote. It only took 2 weeks, 3 phone calls, and 2 emails. I might have gone with this rental company, however based on how unprofessional they were when I was only requesting a quote, I took my business elsewhere. How can I trust them to actually show up and deliver the rented items if they can't even get me a quote without me calling and emailing them multiple times? The company I went with literally responded the very next day after I requested a quote, and even called me beforehand to double check some of the details regarding the dimensions of the pipe & drapes. Not only that, they had the chairs I wanted: SILVER chiavari chairs!! I didn't want white, I only settled because One Call Events doesn't carry silver. AND the other company is cheaper by about $258. Bottom line, DON'T GO WITH ONE CALL EVENTS!! read more

Do you want stress, anxiety, and frustration? Then this is the company for you. Very BAD COMMUNICATION! And will send DIRTY/missing items. When you hire a company for an event as important as a wedding, you expect the absolute best from your vendors. To clarify, the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because yes the set up was beautiful and we had no problem with the guys that came to physically put up the rental tents. They were great, they worked really hard, this is not about them. This is specifically towards Darlene, the company coordinator/manager/owner. Darlene was quick to respond when it came to taking your money. But after the payment was made, she went MIA. She wouldn't answer several calls and texts for days. "Sorry we are really busy", no that's no excuse to not be available to a paid client especially when there are issues/questions. The day before the event, instead of showing face and apologizing for the bad communication she sends her young attitude-filled teenage daughter instead to coordinate the guys setting up. We paid for the tents with fabric, wedding chairs, table runners etc and guess what? The wedding chair cushions were DIRTY. I bring this to the attention of Darlene's daughter and she very dismissively says, "I'll bring some more tomorrow". Fine, as long as they are replaced. Darlene's daughter leaves before the set up is complete, and we realize that they did not bring the table runners. We call and text Miss teenage attitude, no answer. The set up guys claim "maybe this fabric left behind is supposed to be the table runner", but after inspecting it we realize the dirty and torn fabric is actually for the tents not the tables. Again, tried to contact Darlene to advise her that our items are missing. No answer. She finally calls the day of the wedding and claims the fabric is the table runner. No it isn't! The fabric was clearly for the tents not the tables. And she says they will not be coming back to replace the dirty seat cushions. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! She did reimburse for the missing/dirty items but that doesn't change the fact that the items were delivered like that, terrible service and that the communication was almost zero. You can imagine how this made the bride feel on her big day. I do NOT recommend this company, they will give you a headache, stress, anxiety over bad communication and deliver dirty items.. or just not deliver some items altogether! DO NOT HIRE THIS PLACE FOR SPECIAL EVENTS!! When I saw pictures and reviews for this company, I was so excited to hire them for my backyard wedding. They don't have a show room, so I was basing my decisions off of their Instagram/Yelp pictures they posted. After I signed a contract, I quickly realized what a mistake I made. Darlene (the business owner) was terrible at communicating with me. She would often ignore my texts and take days to respond. Darlene would constantly blame her lack of communication on being "so busy" or "she didn't see my message". The week of my wedding, we had agreed on a day and time of when her team would set up for the tent drapes. Then, a day before the set up, she says that instead of setting up at 9am, she will now be coming at latest 5pm inconveniencing my family and vendors. They finally arrive to set up and her daughter (aka her "assistant") came with the biggest attitude. I was busy rehearsing with my family and vendors, that I didn't notice she left with no notice. She didn't even bother to check in with me and seeing if I needed anything else. I was so upset to find dirty seat cushions, stained and ripped drapes, and an incomplete inventory. Instead of bringing ivory table runners, I found filthy and ripped mixed matched tent drapes that she called "table runners". Her daughter Isabel told me they would come the morning of the wedding to replace any damaged material, so I trusted her word for it. That was a mistake! THE MORNING OF MY WEDDING, Darlene calls me saying "sorry I missed your call, I wasn't near my phone". Really? I called maybe 6 times. They didn't show up after-all the morning of my wedding to replace the disgusting chair cushions and runners. Instead she gave me $80 to "refund me". Thank you Darlene for being the most stressful part of my wedding planning. I have used this company for multiple events with no issues. I actually prefer using them because it's been a pain less process....until this time. I booked an event online and received an invoice. I accepted the invoice and heard nothing. I called two weeks before the event and left multiple phone messages. (Apparently they changed their phone number and didn't update it on their own website or their own invoices) and heard nothing for over a week. I panicked and sent them an email and got a cryptic response days later on Thursday at 7:30 PM for a Saturday afternoon event that they didn't get my response and didn't think they could fulfill my order. I had to scramble on Friday morning to find a company to bring a tent and tables and chairs for a party. I was having on Saturday night. I found this company on yelp. I called on Thursday looking to salvage my event for Saturday after having 2 vendor cancellations. Darlene took my call and really pulled my whole event together. For a last minute event it's inevitable to have a few ups & downs. It's natural for issues to arise, but the way that Darlene resolved the issues left a lasting impression. Honestly I was so worried about the negative reviews that popped up after I had booked them but thankfully everything came out beautiful! I didn't catch the names of the gentlemen who delivered and set everything up, but they were great! I loved how everything turned out, Darlene did her best to communicate with me and answer my questions. I made a couple of changes I'm between but all was accommodated. After the items were delivered I later realized I was missing three linens, I called Darlene and early the next morning they were dropped off. We did not have a good experience. Communication was really slow (they said it was because they were moving). But it was bad for the 5 weeks of planning. Once my event day arrived they brought the tables and chairs and 3 of the 5 umbrellas. Said they would be back with the other 2. I got a text at the start of my event that they would NOT be back with the other umbrellas. They did remove that charge but that did not help me with my guests in the sun. Highly recommend for your event!!! I've hired them for several events and they came out amazing. The guys that came to setup not only work hard but they go above and beyond to satisfy your needs. For example, they'd be in the middle of setting up a canopy or dance floor that I ordered and I asked if it can be moved to a different spot and they did and same goes for tables and chairs setup I'd ask if they could be rearranged and it got done quick and with no complaints especially when the team has to deal with a very indecisive person. When it comes to ordering everything, Darlene and Isabel are without a doubt amazing. I've always ordered with them even with a low budget and both Darlene and Isabel worked with me to get everything I wanted for my events. We celebrated my son's 3rd Birthday party. This was our first time renting tables, chairs, and a combo jumper slide and what a great experience to have with One Call Party Rentals. Fidel made everything easy breezy from placing the order, set up, payment (FYI - cash on delivery), pick up, and follow up. He actually followed up to make sure we were happy! NOTE - I ended up not using this company due to our event being moved last minute. Even though we ultimately did not use One Call, I give them five stars because of Darlene. I called six party rental companies within 20 miles of our event location, and Darlene was THE ONLY ONE who picked up the phone. With the other five companies, I had to leave voicemails, and still only one company called me back. With all of our correspondence, Darlene responded immediately and never tried to up-sell us on anything. If I have any event rental needs again, she will be my first choice. read more

Darlene was very professional and great to work with. If you text or call her, she will respond quickly. I rented tables, chairs, and linen for a bridal shower. They called me two days prior to the rental date to confirm shipping time. I requested for drop-off at 8:00 am and it delivered at 8:15 am which was great. Their pick-up was not as great. We scheduled for a time frame of 9:30 - 11:30 am and they did not arrive on time. The round tables seats 6 comfortably, but there is no way it can seat 8 since two chairs cannot be tucked under the table between the legs. In addition, the linens were terrible. They were so thin that you can see the table. In addition, there were seams on the linen at very awkward places. It almost looked like pieces of fabric were sewn together. I ordered 5 round linens and 3 came with stains and holes. Darlene was nice enough to refund for the linens since there weren't any replacements, but that also meant I was scurrying last minute for linens in my area. Overall, if you're just looking for standard tables and chairs, the prices are reasonable. Everything is also completed via cash transaction. There is nothing in writing, so I recommend texting the details (pick up time, drop off time, what you're renting, price, and address) just so you're aware the order is correct. read more

My quincenera was coming up and I was looking for rentals who would make a beautiful job with a fair price. One Call did exactly that. My hall had limited space but One Call knew how to work around that. Luis even made the dance space seem bigger than it actually was. All the rounded tables fit and about seven chairs were fitted for my guest. I also ordered a photo booth which was presentable, gave very good quality photos, and easy to use. The worker who was in charge was sooo helpful when it came to keeping things in order, making sure children wouldn't leave with the prompts, and keeping the area organized. I was not sure on how I wanted to decorate the hall but Fidel had such a creative idea. A few things that he did were placing colored lights against the walls and twinkling lights around my cake. Since the hall was very strict, I appreciated how fast they cleaned up. I highly recommend them to everyone. read more
