We needed some drywall repair on our home before putting it on the market. I contacted Daniel and he responded back promptly on a Sunday. I had taken pictures which I posted on Yelp. He gave me a very fair estimate and we scheduled today for the repairs to be completed. Daniel stated he would be here between 7:30a -8:00a. He promptly showed up at 7:30a. That was refreshing to see someone actually show up on time. DJR is a family owned local business that I am proud to utilize. We had a hole to be patched, several corner bead repairs, and a small ceiling patch that needed repair and texture. Daniel and his Mom got right to work putting down Visqueen throughout the walking paths in our home. The work was completed and we were very impressed with the quality of Daniel's work. Hired Daniel for a shed to office conversion, where he installed insulation, drywall with mudding and texture for the walls and ceiling so they are ready for paint. We received several quotes and they were all within a couple hundred bucks of each other, but Daniel was knowledgeable about the project and actually shared with me some of the process I was unaware about going into the project, which I found helpful! They showed up at 7:00 am and were totally done at 2:30 (including taking a break for lunch and clean up)! On top of the work being done quickly, Daniel and his staff were very nice and professional. They took care with our windows, door and floors and didn't leave any trace that they were here, save for the great work they did! I have pictures posted that show various stages of the project. Our air conditioner condensation line got blocked and the water leaked into our attic and then on to the ceiling to a bedroom. The ceiling crashed down and left a large hole. It was a huge mess and we were super surprised and shocked about it all. We called our air-conditioning people (Heald Mechanical) who came out immediately to fix the line and stop the leak. We called Daniel with DJR Drywall and he was able to come out the next day to give us an estimate on fixing the hole in the ceiling. It was determined that it would be best to replace the room's entire ceiling. (We had emptied the room out and cleaned up the mess prior to calling Daniel) Daniel was easy to communicate with. He taped off any area that needed it. The ceiling's demolition, installing the new insulation, installing the drywall and then painting the ceiling was handled with personal professionalism. We were beyond grateful for his expertise and very nice service. He was affordable and very efficient. He takes pride in his company's work. Unfortunately, I have to downgrade my rating due to poor after-sale service. I was a happy customer, and even paid $150 bonus when they finished. Two months later, the wall they installed failed county's building inspection. The inspector requested the seams and gaps on fire wall to be sealed. I contacted Daniel multiple times. He agreed to come to fix them, then no show no call. After several attempts and slips, he no longer responds to me. Respond to Daniel's response: Compliance to building code is implicitly included in any valid contract. Your work failed building inspection. In addition, you failed the multiple opportunities I've given you to make this right. At the end, you showed your unprofessional attitude. I sent out a request for a few bids on getting some work done in our home. We had 3-4 spaces we wanted closed that were open zero space areas when the home was built. Do not use these guys. They were hired to do a lvl 5 smooth wall. Daniel's father floated the walls & did most of the texture/finishing work. We are new home owners and had our first leak during the storms around New Years. Daniel was really responsive at first and came out the day after I called to check the damage. He doesn't do drying, but gave me solid advice on how to make sure the remediation company didn't take advantage of me. Once everything was dry, I reached out to have him come fix it all. He once again was available to come by quickly to check things out. Except he didn't show up. I texted after the appointment window with no response. Stay away from this business, don't trust them!! Daniel's father came and applied texture over MOLD!! I had water damage that needed repair and essentially he just wanted an easy job where he didn't even tell me about the mold until the end of the project. Best thing to do is knock down the drywall and start fresh but all he did was cover up the mold. I have attempted to get a hold of Daniel multiple times and still no response. Very unprofessional that's not how you conduct business, I would not recommend them. Now I have to spend even more money getting another drywall contractor.
