I have one word that describes our experience with DJ's Auto Service Center - SPECTACULAR My husband had inadvertently driven over a chunk of metal on the highway,which flattened his tire. A flat tire is never convenient. I immediately thought of DJ's Auto Service & called them right away. The owner, Dan Origer, is the absolute best. He said no problem, gave me the contact info for the towing company he said was the best to work with. We contacted the towing company, who arrived about 15 minutes later. The gentleman from the towing company was also very friendly. MVG towing. By the time that the car arrived at DJ's Auto, the tires were already there and they were waiting for him. We actually needed new tires, so we decided to have all 4 tires replaced. Dan and his staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they had 4 new tires put on the car and my husband was done and back on the road in less than 1/2 hour. We were extremely grateful that this entire process was made very simple, everyone we interacted with was pleasant, the service center was clean & inviting, everything from getting the tow to having the new tires replaced was done in such a timely manner and the cost was affordable! I brought my truck in for a Air Bag sensor light. I wasn't called with an estimate and when it was complete I asked for the out the door price and the told me $336. When I went to pick it up the bill was $375. Why the price switch? I could never trust a business where they pull crap like this.They replaced the $80 part and charged $250 in labor. I don't know if that is over priced or not. This was the first time and last time coming here. The issue I have is when I got home and looked at my bill. I noticed a fluid disposal fee of $10 an a $30 charge for Shop parts. I called and asked Chris why the charge for fluid disposal and shop parts fee. I asked what shop parts were used " he said grease for the sensor and heat to remove a nut." I told him that a dab of grease and a few minutes of heat to loosen the nut doesn't cost $ 30. HERE IS HIS REPLY " we don't calculate how much we use that is the price we always charge regardless of how little we use" then about the fluid disposal he said " we charge that for every single bill regardless of if we dispose of fluid or not" SOUNDS LIKE A RiPOFF TO ME. Chris goes on to explain to me it is like the garbage company charging a fuel tax or sugar tax WTF that's the reasoning that they are charging these FEES on every customer . I wonder if what they are doing is legal ? I don't remember seeing anything saying that I was going to be charged these fees . When a business like this pulls crap on its customers like this makes me sick. Any auto repair businesses reading this who are legit please drop me a message. I cannot recommend DJ's. Took my car in a couple of months ago and I was not charged to have it looked at. The price was higher than I wanted so I declined the repairs. I brought a second car last week to get looked at but this time I was charged $100 diagnostic fee. When I brought the car in no one explained that I'd be charged to have it looked at so I was shocked when I was charged. Why charge today and not last month? Could it be I declined the repair cost last time so this time I was charged? Keep it consistent DJ's. Don't charge one time and charge another. This is why mechanics get a bad reputation. read more

I have a Toyota Rav 4, I went to the dealership to get my oil changed and to fix a nail in one of my tires. The dealership "mechanics" told me the nail was too deep and I would have to get a whole new tire for $270. Dan was so friendly and helpful, he fixed my tire in 5 minutes flat and saved me over $200. I took my car there for service because they were close. They misdiagnosed it released my car to me saying it was safe to drive, however, I got 2 miles up the road and the brakes went out. Thank goodness I wasn't in traffic on Golf Road. It could have been deadly. In retrospect, my interaction with them gave me the impression that they only wanted the money. They KNEW my car wasn't repaired correctly and safe. I have a luxury car and wonder if they are just not able/equipped to service it the proper way. IDK. This review is for their U-HAUL SERVICE. They are very professional and very very quick (some other locations take 15-20 minutes... I was out in 5). They already new my name before I came in (probably because I was the only one renting a 26 foot truck that day!) I did the paperwork with Dan while another worker brought the truck out front. Dan was polite and cracked many jokes while I was their. He explained the insurance to me, where I need to return the truck, the mileage, the amount of gas I need to fill up etc etc. The truck was clean both front and back. This review is for my U-haul experience. I have no experience with them outside of this. I have rented U-haul trucks before from other locations, and it can take forever to check in/out, actually get the truck, etc. Not here! They checked me in right away, and had the truck waiting on the street for me. The truck was in good condition (much better than other ones I have had). Returning the truck was SO easy, all I had to do was park in the back and turn the keys into the drop box. They are also very fair. I was under my estimated mileage, and they charged me less than my estimate, per my agreement with them. No hassle, no fighting, no questions. Went in for an oil change this a.m. Whilst checking the condition of the engine, it was found the serpentine belt was worn. I had it replaced, along with the oil and air filter change. There were also some ends and bits tightened up. The wait was not long and everyone was very friendly. The waiting area was clean, bright and tidy.
