Just picked up my order, 3 burgers and 2 large fries. Entire meals were "NOT" Even close to edible. Fries were so dark and just soaked and dripping oil. Burgers had so much dressing that dressing was all you could taste. Overall, what a mess and complete disappointment. I have never given a bad review until today. read more

We are roadtripping from Vegas. We were trying to find a good spot to feed our kids after a hike. We stopped here bc it had good reviews. I'll tell ya what- it was a great choice! Very disappointed with my visit here. I had kids with me and we were going to get ice cream; we were walking and it was hot. The person at the window waited until after I ordered to tell me it was cash only. I looked around for a sign saying so in case I missed if but there isn't one. After a long drive we rolled into Scotia. Couldn't find a place to eat. Drove a mile or two down the road to Rio Dell. Dj's burger bar was open. It's a small place with huge taste, quality and friendliness! Had the bacon cheeseburger and wife had Ortega's burger. Friends had the single cheeseburger. We all had fries. Great place. Huge meñu. People were streaming in at a good pace. The gal at the front was super great and friendly. Gentlemen who brought out food was also a delight. Makes a huge difference when they make you feel welcome. We took a road trip and this was a place we stopped for lunch at. When you walk in you can tell that the food is going to be good! Very down home, kitchen cooking. You can tell the fries are hand cut. The burgers are amazing with a thousand island style dressing, lettuce, tomato, onion, and gooey cheese. We also had a banana milkshake that was better than Five Guys milkshakes. They only take cash. The Shell station down the street has an ATM. The inside itself is rather small but homey. It had a lot of diner collectibles in it. There was a nice outside eating area too in front. The staff was friendly and obviously locals to this very small town. I would stop back here anytime I drove through to get another burger, shake, or I might even try something else on their menu. read more

Not great. Chili was inedible and was made with pork and beans- wtf! Yuck! Burgers and fries are ok. Onion rings are so-so, cooked from the same ones you can buy in the grocery frozen section ( not the expensive ones). Prices are fairly high for what you get. Stumbled upon this tiny little joint as a buddy and me were starting The Avenue of the Giants! Early morning and it was the smell of bacon that beckon us over to DJ's. Asked if they had Breakfast Sandwich...Yup! Ordered a sausage breakfast sandwich. Holy Smokes!!! The freaking patty was inch thick and size of a well endowed hamburger.
