My girlfriend and I decided to drop in for fries and a shake during lunch. We walked in behind one of the workers and were greeted with barely a shrug. Bad day maybe? There were a few senior citizens talking to the other employee sitting at one end of the small dining area, so we sat at the other end. While we waited for our order the woman sitting with the other (apparently) local customers began talking about how much Donald Trump is being picked on and this, that and the other about Democrats. At this point our order arrived and we found the shake very good. The fries were another story. They appeared to be hand cut style Fries marinated in cheap fryer oil. We were able to pick some sorry swimmers from the batch but we ended up tossing most of them. So if you don't mind greasy food with a healthy dose of MAGA drivel on top this is your place. read more

My boyfriend and I were driving back from Eureka, CA. He was starving! This place was wonderful. Make sure you GPS it, as you can NOT see it from the road. It has fantastic parking all along the Main Street for Semi-trucks (yeah us!). I got the classic cheeseburger, and my boyfriend did the bacon, mushroom, Swiss. Both were delicious. I have eaten at this place throughout the years. These reviews are pretty hilarious. The meat is very low grade as is all of their items on the menu. If you want to "go back in time" you've already done so by being in the area and perhaps this is what you want. Also, the old lady there is constantly rude to customers. I've seen it over and over again. They even charge extra for extra ketchup. If you want a stomach ache and a headache this is the place. read more

You can't go wrong with their burgers. My hubby loves the double jalepeno burger and I love the plain old cheeseburger. Fries are on the greasy side, but they are french fries after all. Their breakfast is simple done right...when you order over medium eggs you get the runny yoke with the whites fully cooked, which so many restaurants seem to struggle with. A complete surprise. Ordered a burger and a taco, ate the burger first and could not believe how fresh, tasty and well balanced that was. I opened the taco and was shocked to see it was made just as I make them at home and have never had anyplace else done the same way. Flour shell fried on both sides, small amount of cheese sprinkled in hot shell, nicely seasoned grease free ground beef with lettuce, tomato, sour cream, avocado and possibly more and hot sauce served on the side. I went back with empty tray and gave them a $10 tip and told them the food was "off the hook". If I lived in town this would be regular stop and I would tell everyone to keep them in business and eat there once a week. Very friendly girls doing a great job. Love it! read more

I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled to this time. DJs has good hamburgers but that's about the only thing good about DJs. I'm a regular there who's probably been in there once a week for years and I just received the absolute most horrible service for the last time and I will never go back there again. After calling in an order ahead of time, I went in and was completely ignored when I was standing, sitting and trying to pay for my order at the counter. finally, after ten minutes, the fat doofus asked me if I was being helped like he didn't see me and look at me the second I walked in the door... When I finally paid they didn't even have my order ready! They pretended like they misheard my name, and gave me another order with somebody else's name written on it... so I got some guys order named "Dave" ...and no doubt they probably gave "Dave" my buffalo burger. They still made me pay for it and acted like they didn't even know who I am even though I've been in there once a week for years and have put up with their crap service and food and have always tipped well and been friendly. ... so f these people. These people are not the most intelligent or friendly people. They are miserable and the methed out lady in there puts on a good show. The ice cream sucks, their milkshakes and blizzards are watered down, the fries are a disgusting heaping mass of soggy wet grease in a soggy wet paper bag. this place is an overall joke but hey it's the only thing that Rio Dell has to offer so what do you expect. Have eaten at DJ's for years, it has always been good or better, not today. Fries were greasy as always, however they were a much smaller cut which made them even greasier. The burgers were thinner and cooked to oblivion. Sawdust would have had more flavor. read more

We stopped by here to grab something to eat while traveling. I had the bacon mushroom swiss burger, my husband had the cheeseburger, two of the kids had the footlong hotdogs and our other child had the chicken taco. The burgers were juicy and delicious. The tomatoes tasted fresh out of the garden. The footlong hotdogs were served split on toasted buns. The chicken taco was large in portion size and delicious as well. I would recommend this stop on anyone's travel plans. It was worth the detour. read more

DJ's Burger Bar is the Best! Same feel as the local "Fresh Freeze" Or "Bobs Footlongs" in the area. When you first walk in, you feel like you've walked into someone's home (dining room) that's an added plus to the experience that Bobs or Fresh Freeze doesn't have. Residential dining tables, lace tablecovers, lamps & lighting making the ambiance pleasent and photos on the walls. It's a small dining area, maybe 2 full sized tables, but alternate seating outside on their deck. The food is delicious, fries cut from Real Potatoes, Burgers made to order, perfect milkshakes, and nice golden, onion rings. The wait typically isn't long maybe 15minutes; but you can call in your order ahead of time for pick up! I live just two blocks away & head to DJs each chance I get! I would highly reccomend it to any passer by's or friends of mine. Perfect place to stop for lunch with a friend, or on an evening with no kids just crusin. Love DJs and the hardwork the ladies behind the counter put in to make their food so fresh and yummy! Only thing I would change is to add Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks to the Menu. read more
