Stopped at Bob's for some lunch while in town for a basketball tournament. We found seating easily, everything was nice and clean and the service was friendly! I had the veggie burger, which was pretty good. I loved how you can see the veggies in the patty! The fries were a hit with the family and a small tip: we ordered a large and easily shared between 4 people, it's a very large portion! Wished I would have gone there sooner name doesn't do it justice. Had chef burger-so retro and delicious! Onion rings crunchy big don't disappoint. Chocolate milkshake might as well call it chocolate ice cream thick Rich delicious. Fries shoestring fresh and Great with vinegar. The food is always fresh always hot. Went to bob's footlong after a windy day of birding and it was the perfect place to go! I got the chefs special which was delicious with lots of onion flavor and a juicy patty. My friend got the chicken sandwich was also delicious, the portions for the fries are also quite generous! Definitely recommend for a quick burger spot! read more

Probably best to eat at the restaurant if you want condiments because they don't include them with your togo order. The corn dogs were good, but mustard or ketchup would've been nice. Please drop a packet or something in the corn dog sleeve for your delivery orders. read more

Absolutely 100% the best burger joint in the county. Every time I go there I'm greeted by the staff, especially that one employee named turner. Now I truly believe Turner needs a raise. He always welcomes me in with a HI TY!! or a handshake/hug. The food is the best food I've ever had in my entire life. They put so much love and care into the food, you can tell it's crafted with quality ingredients. The tables are always clean at least much cleaner than the kitchen table at my house. I could eat off of the floor in this place! The cleaning staff is so quick and swift that you don't even notice them cleaning it but bam all of the sudden it's clean. The music playing in the restaurant always makes me feel like I'm at home. The photos on the wall are a nice touch and I would go here more often if my cholesterol level wasn't already too high! read more

Gross, there is no other way to describe this place. It is very fifty and the food turned awful. It use to be different; at one time it was great! Roadside dives are my kryptonite and I literally swung the car around when I passed Bob's footlongs. "I mean, just LOOK at it," I beamed to my traveling companion, who looked at me like I was from Mars. (She ended up enjoying it too, by the way). The interior is as old school as the exterior, but it was very clean. The employees were welcoming and friendly, and the prices were more than fair. The place has been around since 1949 and it always warms my heart to see restaurants like this hanging on for so many years. The menu focuses on hot dogs, burgers, fries (regular and garlic) and milkshakes. All of the food looked good and smelled deliciously greasy, but the GOOD kind of greasy. Bob's has footlong in the name so like any good foodie knows, that's what you need to order. I opted for a chili cheese footlong to share and a soda. The hot dog was well prepared and nicely griddled and was split down the middle for maximum topping exposure. The skin had a nice "pop" when you bit into it, and the bun was fluffy and soft. The cheese was absolute perfection, it was real shredded cheddar cheese and not the all too typical lazy fake squirt cheese (bleh). The chili was quite tasty but had way too many beans in it to earn a fifth star. I hate chili with beans, and bean-filled chili on a hot dog is just blasphemous to all things holy in the world of food. read more

Lunch yesterday. Footlong with Chili and onions. The footlong hot dog was split and grilled. I was served hot and fresh. The chili was flavorless and bland. Needs more chili powder to make it taste like chili. The fries were cold. Perhaps the fries had been sitting since the lunch rush from the high school students. Was driving through and had to stop by and get my fix of garlic fries. This was my husband first time here. We ordered the corn dog special with garlic fries, and a footlong hotdogs. Fries aren't the same and were super crispy almost burnt and so was the corndog. Food was soaked with grease.. even soaked through the bags too. Been coming here since Ozzy owned this place, even worked here through high school when Karen owned it so easily over 30 years and has always been good but not this time. The new owners have made some changes to stuff and not for the better in my opinion. read more

Sometimes there's a bit of a wait but the food is good and the fried pickles are awesome!

Theyre a comfort food establishment, so you wont find breakfast or diner options here.. you get Burgers, Hotdogs, Chicken, Sea Food, and plenty of side options.. i love it. The good: The Corn Dogs are still the best around! The atmosphere and wonderfully dated decor has not changed for this beloved old burger/hot dog joint. The not as good: New owners in the past few months have made some changes. The fries just don't taste the same, which is a tragedy, and worst of all, NO MORE CRUCHY ICE!?!?!? It may seem silly to most, but when you buy a place with a history and traditions like Bob's you don't change things. I'll give them some time and another chance, but I am bummed with what I've seen so far. read more

Wow was really good. The fries seemed fresh-cut and were crispy and good. I wanted a dog but they didn't have any combos with hot dogs (go figure), so just got the burger combo instead. It reminded me of one of those classic Route 66 Mom and Pop burgers. The drink was small but hey soda is bad for you. I'm sure they have larger sizes but for $6.99 the combo deal here is cheaper and much better than most fast food. I see the option of onion rings for the combo as well, and that is exciting. I bet they're fresh made and not those frozen hockey pucks everyone is selling now a days. Next time I'm getting a dog though. I see they have fresh dipped corn dogs. I can't say I've ever seen anyone still doing it like that. This place is like going back in time and I love it. The people were really nice too. read more

I really love going to local places instead of chains - this place has been around since 1949! Love the pink & white interior. Good selection of burgers, hot dogs, shakes, etc. Prices are Ok. I got the small chili dog that had so much chili on it I could hardly find the dog! Really tasty, and I like that you can get the dog boiled or grilled (grilled for me!). read more

We came here from Eureka to try out their NCJ burger for burger week. Just a great burger! The best I've had in a very long time. I hope they add it to their regular menu! The fries were fresh cut and delicious. Why does everyone want a chain burger when you can buy LOCAL for a tasty meal? Say NO to In N Out and YES to Bob's! This place was so good while out of town we ate there twice. I wasn't fond of the relish on the dogs or the velveeta cheese. But the customer service went above and beyond in terms of a huge order. They made sure to put names on everyone's dog which made things so much easier! They were truly a friendly place. This is a small town that reminded me of Alabama. Very courteous! This review is only based on them not taking cards. I couldn't review the food because I'm not drug dealer and have a bank/credit card like normal people. Cash or check only. Check? Wtf is this 1985...? The place looked like a classic place but based on the last time I tried to go here but didn't because it was crowded with high school or Jr high kids (I can't tell them apart anymore) so maybe most of the good reviews were written by these kids who aren't old enough to actually form a real opinion about a dining establishment. Probably being bitter here because I really wanted a hotdog, but in 2016 there's just no good excuse for any self respecting service business to not accept cards. One extra star for the benefit of the doubt that the food might actually live up to the hype and classic vibe. read more
