We went to watch the Nebraska basketball game last night and honestly loved the service our waitress was so sweet and attentive but I was disappointed with the food. Went to watch some of the World Cup games on 06/25 and the experience was bad and the food was somehow worse. The staff seemed disorganized and the food was bad. We ordered double dipped wings and they arrived without any sauce. The staff took it back to the kitchen once I notified them and they did a light sauce toss and it was hardly covered/had any flavor. They were grey and oily on the skin even after they tried to fix it with a light sauce toss. They also charged us for an extra ranch we didn't receive. I'd give them a pass if they were busy but they weren't more than half full when we were there. Needless to say, we did not take our leftovers home. I also really disliked that we didn't get to see the receipt before paying because we didn't get to correct their mistakes for what they charged us for and honestly, for what it all cost, it was not worth it at all. I'll go to a local bar next time instead but honestly disappointed in the experience. DJs is usually much better but with the cost plus experience, I'll be going elsewhere. I'll always give a restaurant a chance before leaving a review and we made sure to let our server know there was an issue with the food we spent $72 on but they did not put much effort in to fix it. read more

We came here at 11:30am Sunday morning. The place was nearly empty as they open at 11. We were coming from a family event so we had 9 with us. We were able to put together two tables to accomodate. Our server was nice, and got our drinks quickly. However, my MIL got the loaded bloody mary and it only had an oolive on the stick. Later on the server said that the chef wasn't done making the bacon that goes on the stick. That would have been something to share when ordering the drink, and I could tell it bothered her. She did end up bringing a skewer later...but when her drink was gone, so I know she tried to make up for it. Overall the food isn't the best, but I do enjoy the atmosphere, and big beers. We're watching the NCAA baseball games, which is always nice, theres a variety of sports on at all times. read more

Most disappointing experience I've have in a long while. I'm in the midst of moving and ordered an appetizer and wrap from DJs through the Toast app. I'm a mile and a half from this restaurant and the delivery guy was as sharp as a marble bc it took him 35 mins to get to me. I called the restaurant to clarify my address and give better directions before he picked up my order. The address was also on the order itself. I also texted the delivery guy my address with directions. And the delivery guy still went to the wrong place! Not sure what more I could have done. The food was ice cold and soggy by the time it got to me. It wasn't good and wasn't packaged up well. First and last time I'll be ordering from DJs. read more

Good bar food, comfortable sports pub atmosphere. I got the three little piggies burger which was pretty tasty. The beef in the burger itself was a little firm; cooked well done and pressed hard into shape, which affected the texture. Loved the pork, bacon, and bbq sauce on top, the flavors married really well. Fries were ok, but not hand cut. The kids meal was big, more than double what our 3 year old could eat. Quesadilla was good, standard. There were several other families with kids there and the general noise and casual atmosphere made it fine for a toddler. Others have really knocked the service here but we had no complaints. Our sever was prompt, accurate, and personable. I will say I've been to many sports bar but no one does it better than DJ's. Weekly specials and and atmosphere that drive sports entertainment. Food is what you expect from high end bar food. burgers, nachos, wings and sandwiches but can't mis that Thursday special with steak Thursdays. Stop in and give it a shot. Literally! read more

Guys. These specials they are running are INSANE! And the food is delicious. Granted the power is in your hands in regards to grilling, but the steaks are quality and for 40 bucks?! Getting 4 steaks, 4 salads, 4 taters AND a 6-pack of your choice is FANTASTIC. This place has always had my heart as one of the first sports bars that has served flour chips with their nachos and they do it well. I had a great time, twice at this location. Both times we ordered the special. On Wednesday it is the wings and on Thursday it is the steak. The meals were solid the $10 Steak Meal was fantastic. Loaded baked potato, side salad and a decent size steak, seasoned and cooked perfectly. Plus it had a pleasant smoky bark, so good. We always found a nice clean table with about 17 different screens that you can watch. The service was solid, they take your order and as soon as your food is ready somebody runs it out to you. Food was always perfect temp and comes out quick. The bar is stocked up and there are always deals. I was amazed you could get a 32oz Crown and Coke for $9.50. What?? It was poured very generously and I would say "just be careful". This is professional grade cocktails, 32oz! The staff is hospitable and vivacious, it is a fun atmosphere, all about sports. I downloaded Yelp just to do this review. The food was decent nothing to over the top for a bar scene but what really upset me was the terrible service. The bar wasnt all that busy and we had to keep trying to find our server to be served. Started with missed drinks, Multiple times asking for something simple like silverware and when it came time to pay the bill I had to hunt someone else down to ask for it considering we were waiting 20 min and she was no where to be seen, and to find out she was around the corner on her phone and chatting with a bunch of bus-boys. I'm a local neighbor and have brought my family in many times to DJs. Normally, I don't leave bad reviews but this is now the 3rd time I've had a major service issue at the bar, once for takeout, the other 2 just sitting down and waiting to be served. Tonight I sat down at the bar at 5:25pm by myself after getting off work and might as well have been invisible. Left at 6pm without ever being asked anything. There wasn't anyone sitting on both sides of me; I was alone with just a menu and no one asked if I wanted a drink. Honestly, if I was the Owner/Manager I'd look into who they have tending bar - understand it's a tough environment to hire but you gotta get someone else back there that changes the attitude. read more

The food service industry in general is in a very poor shape everywhere so it shouldn't be any surprise that DJs has the issues that it does. We have been DJs customers from the first one that opened years ago so we where thrilled when the Elkhorn location opened closer to our home. The owner Darwin and the manager Tanya both genuinely care about providing a great experience for their customers but I think that some of the demands of some of the general public have beaten down their ability to satisfy a majority of their customer base. Lets be honest its bar food not fine dining and its usually better than most.so it comes down to customer service. We love the atmosphere so we have refused to give up on this location easily. But the last 4 visits have been less than enjoyable from being ignored by servers for up to 30 minutes from our arrival to allowing young children to run unsupervised and crawling over the booth in front of and behind us and after calling it to the servers attention being told that there's really nothing they can do about it. During covid we made it a point to at least once a week get takeout from DJs to support a local business we wanted to see survive, Post covtd we have been welcomed back to drinks that use to be 7 dollars are now 13 dollars. We always tip generously and have over 100 dollars worth of loyalty points on our DJs card so it isn't like we don't know what to expect when we go there. the last time we were there we asked our server to ask the manager to bring us our last round of drinks after awhile he himself returned to the table with our drinks and told us that the manager told him to kick rocks. DJs is the product of midwesterners who love to take their families out to eat at overpriced sports bars. Obviously a success this business is with all of their locations around the major metro. Tap beer choices are below average, bar service here was terrible. These guys bartending on Friday have no knowledge about the drink and food menu. I think the drink prices are outrageous. Never cared for a beer out of a plastic cup. On the plus side, there are a lot of televisions. The food is quick prep bar food from what I've had. I've had the prime rib melt, boneless wings, and a burger here. Prime rib melt was not fresh. The Cole slaw is the worst Cole slaw I have ever had. It is milky and reminds me of the kind my elementary school served 35 years ago. Not really my kinda place but appears to be a go to for couples with children. read more

No idea how the rating is so low, not my experience at all. Our server was great while we hung out for a few hours to watch games and have drinks before ordering food. I've always had a great experience at "The Dugout", however on St. Patrick's Day when I ordered the corned beef brisket, I was served three slices of corned beef brisket STEAKS!! That's not how it's supposed to be cut....so it was obviously inedible, although it looked as though had it been cooked properly had it been cut properly it would've been great. So with them being as busy as they were I just left it, but they really ought to know for next year how to properly cut it so it tastes as good as it looks. read more

So a little bit about the review. I'm sure it's a little bit confusing but we came here on game night for the final NCAA men's basketball thinking that we will be able to watch the game on the big screens. After arriving in the main area they were playing nothing but country music with some sort of game to identify the song that's being played over the radio like country bingo. When I asked why the game is not being broadcasted with sound, I was told for the game if you want to watch the game in here or you have to go in to we would need to go in the other room which was sealed off with no his other room which was sealed off with very little ventilation. No I am not one to complain about freedom's but I felt a little concerned in there with that many people watching the game in a close environment with very little room for air to flow around. In my humble opinion they probably should've been signs on the door saying the game is being played on the TV but you're not gonna be able to hear it unless you go into the other room. I guess wasn't expected that thinking this is a big game. I honestly think the bed vibes did not help Gonzaga which they ended up losing but oh well next time I will call ahead to make sure that game is you being broadcasted live in that I can hear it rather than hearing some redneck music playing in the background. read more

Overall good food and good service but there were too many problems with this sports bar. The speakers that were outside were way too loud, so loud that you couldn't even hear what anyone saying. The other thing that really set it off was when people came outside where we were eating and started smoking. Let me start by saying, we are regulars at Good Life in Elkhorn. We eat there 2-3 per week because of the awesome staff and food. We have NEVER had a bad experience and it is close to home so it works out great! We wanted to give the new DJs a chance because we've never lived close to one so we went there on a Friday night. I was impressed by the TVs and the amount of seating those were huge positives. Food and staff was a completely different story. Food was mediocre. Felt like I could have whipped up the same thing (mine might have been tastier) at home. Very basic. Nothing jumped out at me. My wrap fell apart and was very plain. Won't be coming back. Good food! Horrible service! Went there for steak night special. Order was incorrect, no silverware, and salads did not arrive until after our meal. Was told the manager would come and talk with us- never happened. We paid our bill and left. May be quite a while until we return there again, if ever. read more

The entertainment system is probably the only positive. The restaurant does appear to be clean but I write this to warn other people not to waste their time. Our server sucked (and I hate saying that) but she forgot my beer, brought chocolate milk for my son after we requested white, was sparse, brought crayons to my toddler during our meal (so he was immediately disinterested in his food) then took 20 minutes to bring out the check. It felt like we were never going to be able to leave. I think the real deal breaker was that they don't even make their own ranch so on top of bland food, poor service, a forgotten beer...I had a crappy ranch dip cup.
