The food was pretty good. Ordered the smash burger and the let it fly burger. I liked the let it fly burger more, but both were good. It also came with a side of fries, which tasted exactly like McDonalds fries. Not too salty and a decent crispy crunch. Our server was friendly, and the food did not take too long to be ready. The atmosphere of the place is your standard sports bar with a modern design. Tons of TVs to watch a variety of different sports being played that day. Fully noping this place. Swiss mushroom burger had zero flavor other than the burnt pieces and portions of flame. Obviously it was a frozen patty prior and then way over cooked. Salad was a good portion of lettuce. Onion rings were so hard they couldn't be eaten. Worst part of this was that there were three tables during lunch and this burger took 30 minutes. It certainly tasted like it had 30 minutes on the grill and another 30 sitting waiting. I'm posting a do not order food recommendation for this place. read more

I've been here a handful of times in the past year, most recently to watch the Nebraska - USC game it and it was packed. We were able to get a table and our waitress was excellent, for as busy as they were, she stopped by at the perfect cadence and refilled drinks, took food orders, etc. We went with a half order of nachos and it was massive, couldn't even finish them. Food is good, but traditional bar fare. Overall great spot to hang out or watch sporting events! read more

My husband and I flew into NE to visit family. After a full day, we chose Let It Fly (LIF) so we could watch some games on one of the many TVs. We got there at around 8pm. Thankfully, it wasn't too busy. We got seated right away and had Dawson as our waiter who was a natural. He was polite, genuine and timely; however, at a certain point you get tired of asking how my food is less than 3 minutes after we received our food. Give us some time before you come back 4 more times with the same question. Dawson was great, but our meal felt so rushed- which I didn't appreciate. We had a small nacho pail which was very good. My husband's reuben sandwich and onion rings left a lot to be desired. I chose 6 chicken rings with garlic teriyaki as my sauce. I enjoyed them. Dawson brought the bill before we finished and did not ask if we wanted desert. I asked for it, paid for a scoop of mediocre ice cream for my "Black Out Chocolate cake". Okay guys. I understand the chocolate overload- but dang.... the overload of Hershey's chocolate and one split Reese's cup took away from a cake that could have been delicious alone. I went in there last week expecting it to have the same fun vibe as the one downtown. Turns out that was too much to ask for. The food was mid and the service was meh. It's like they had enough workers but not enough quality workers and nobody seemed too happy to be there nor did they seem to care about the level of service. Not sure if it's the management change that apparently happened in the past few weeks or what but I will most likely not be back. It was very underwhelming. read more

Stopped in to watch a noon football game & get some lunch. It's nice to see this place 3/4 full of sports fans. We split a chicken wrap that was nicely seasoned along with sweet potato fries. We also tried salmon avocado toast (off brunch menu til 2pm!). The toast is thick slices covered with creamy avocado spread, slices of smoked salmon topped with fresh avocado slices, onions , cucumber, radish & a dot of sauce..see pics. Terrible service..2 waiters and a bartender. Only 3 of us in the restaurant where we got there but they wouldn't get off the phones to wait on us. Ordered a reuben and waiter said "they are terrible..taking off the menu because meat is too tough" Was there 30 minutes after done eating and not a single dish cleared. read more

I feel the same way about Let it Fly West as I do the downtown location - great spot to watch sports and grab a drink, but the food is a total miss. I visited with my husband and two friends on Sunday. We had several games that the group was interested in watching, so it was awesome to accommodate everyone. My friends ordered the onion rings, which were decent. However, our mains really fell flat. Two members of our party ordered the wings and both said they were terrible - the skin peeled right off, the sauce lacked any flavor, and there were hardly any flats included in the bunch. Another person ordered the caesar wrap. She said it wasn't bad, but it was definitely nothing special - basically a bagged salad rolled up in a tortilla. I had the open faced turkey melt. Taste-wise, this was pretty good. However, it was incredibly messy to eat, even with a fork and knife. I will be sure to eat before coming here and just enjoy the drinks and the atmosphere from here on out. read more

I came in for opening day not just once but twice! I came early to meet with some friends and get a taste of their menu, and kick off labor day weekend. This new sports bar is definitely a welcoming environment. It's got the same vibe and charm of downtowns Let it Fly. I had the chicken sandwich with fries and a cold beer + chips and salsa. The fried chicken was like strips, but plenty of them! The slaw was also flavorful. Fries were super cripsy and fresh. I enjoyed the seasoning on the chips and the salsa is mild. I had told my husband about the afternoon and he insisted we head back with our inlaws for dinner. The kids had burgers and the warm pretzels. I highly highly recommend the pretzels, it comes with two warm and buttery and moist pretzels. They were fantastic! Service was a little slower, and less attentive, but the crowd had also doubled in size, so I chalk it up to opening weekend kinks and I can't wait to come back and catch a game here this fall. read more

I called to make a reservation to watch a basketball game. Told the girl we wanted to be inside by the big tv. She said to book the reservation online so I did. When we arrived we were told our table is outside. I explained what I was told to do and she said you didn't talk to me or this other person online reservations cannot differentiate between inside and outside. We are full and your table is outside. There were still open tables inside due to people who hadn't arrived yet but if we wanted to stay we had to sit outside. We maybe would have considered if it was a nice day but it wasn't it was cold and windy. We left and have no plans to ever go back. We went to another bar and saved ourselves some money as this place is overpriced and the food is nothing special. read more

Of the two locations, this one is easily my favorite, I love coming here with friends! The seating is super comfy. The booths are some of the comfiest booths i've sat in, and the space feels much more open and relaxed compared to downtown. The staff here is always fantastic, friendly, attentive, and great to chat with. And somehow, the food here is even better in my opinion. I'm obsessed with the nachos in a can and their soft pretzels both are delicious and hit the spot everytime. We went to Let It Fly West Omaha to watch March Madness on March 28th and the staff was unnecessarily rude. A waiter who was not even serving our table kept stopping at our table to heckle us. We repeatedly asked if they would change the big screen to the basketball game, as all customers in the restaurant were clearly there to watch the game. They finally did right when the game started without sound so we had to ask if they would turn the sound on. All patrons were being completely respectful; it was unnecessary for staff (who I believe were upset because their team wasn't playing in this Elite 8 game) to mistreat paying customers. I would have left it at that because obviously there was a bit of immaturity with certain wait staff but then the drink service was awful. One person at my table had an Old Fashioned which looked really nice so my husband and I ordered that. We each received the drink in a small glass with a very small piece of ice almost completely melted. I asked the waiter if they had any large ice left and he said yes, but it won't fit in that glass. So, he brought me the ice in a solo cup and I had to pour my drink into the plastic solo cup. Then a second round was ordered at my table, this time, the drinks came out with no orange slice or cherry. My husband asked the waiter where that was and he said, one of the bartenders doesn't really know what they're doing. That was obvious. We left at halftime; we can make drinks properly at home. I do think the bad service was intentional which is a shame for what could be a nice sportsbar. read more

Week 1. Ran out of the signature draft beer, got the can instead. Also. Comped the Burger after forgetting about it. Messed up drink orders. I get it, one subpar week. It happens. Week 2. The games aren't on due to a technical issue. Not to mention tomato juice is four dollars a pop for my family's red beers. Unless the tomatoes are plucked from a vine and made in house, that is simply ridiculous. Overall, I'm all about second chances, but the second week was the last straw. Wow, what a disappointment. First draft beer I ordered, they were out. Second beer I ordered also out. These were beers on the menu, not picky requests. Food was maybe 1 out of 5 stars. The buffalo wings were like fried chicken, not sauced and almost no flavor or heat. Swiss mushroom burger was so bad, didn't even finish. We had a 23, 53, and 82 year old and none of us would go back. Don't go for the food, maybe a beer to watch a game. But honestly it was so uncreative and flavorless. We finally left after one of us went to the bar and they hadn't even grabbed them. The bar was packed, which is great but with only 2 bartenders, they can't handle that kind of crowd effectively.
