Jukes Ale Works is hands down my favorite spot in Elkhorn for wings and beer. I've been here a few times now, and it's consistently great. If you go, you have to order the salted caramel wings. I know it sounds like an unusual combination, but trust me--they're incredible. Sweet, savory, and unlike anything else I've had. The beer is brewed in-house, and there's always a rotating selection, so there's usually something new to try. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to hang out with friends or grab a casual meal. On top of that, the service has always been friendly and attentive. What you see is what you get. We were enjoying a wide variety of beers on the top floor of a two- story restaurant and as we watched food go by to other patrons, it looked just like the menu pictures. There is a nice variety of foods from handheld sandwiches and burgers and wings and flatbreads and salads. Hubby and I chose the grouper (hubby) and the chicken pesto sandwich (me).They. Did. Not. Disappoint. Grouper was charred and flaky and 2 big pieces. Hubby chose the side salad which was an ample side. I had the chicken pesto Sandwich and it. Was. Delicious. Toasted ciabatta but the grilled chicken, of which I tasted every charred grill mark (yum) way outside the bun. Melted cheese- so gooey and delish. The pesto with hemp hearts was so perfectly spread so as to enhance the flavor and not overtake it. Fries- so light and crispy. Need to go back to try the 6 other menu items I eyed before choosing. Beers - nice menu from IPAs to stouts and porters and lagers and Czech and Japanese rice- I mean. Sizes are the bests 3 oz, 6 oz, 10 oz, 16 oz so try em all- we made a good dent on the menu! Friendly service and on an 89 degree day, with ceiling fans and shades we were comfortable in the outside deck. Inside seating is an option. I've been twice and the service is always great. My latest stop I called ahead because I was taking a class in the area. My wings and fries were ready hot and crispy! My only thing is that the buffalo wing sauce was good but tasted like maybe it came out of a bottle and not made in the kitchen? I could be wrong. I love their porch area at the top of the restaurant. Though I was taking my order to go I wanted to eat some wings and fries before class and they had no problem with letting me be in the dining room and even brought over some silverware. We grabbed take out this weekend from Jukes and had an excellent experience all around. Ordering over the phone or online is fast and simple. They had the upstairs open due to the perfect spring weather and it was packed! I tried the PB bacon burger with tots this time and i have to say this was one filling meal! Two burger patties atop a thick layer of peanut butter, followed by delicious bacon and white cheddar cheese: What's not to love? Please try the tots next time you're in. What a surprising place for a small town like Elkhorn! When I walked in, signage said to go upstairs. At the time, I didn't know they had an elevator. I managed the two flights of stairs but only just. The kitchen is downstairs so I watched in admiration as a fit waiter almost ran up and down those same stairs hustling up food orders. There's a roof top patio accessible from the upper room. I was delighted to see a small taste serving of beer, five ounces I think it was. I had a really good beer but I can't remember the name, just something like pitterbier. I had the adult grilled cheese sandwich and a salad, both tasty. I think the sandwich had two kinds of cheese. I didn't go out to the rooftop, so I don't know how big it is. The upper room was small with seating at tables, a bar, and a couple of big screens running trivia while I was there. The main floor downstairs was much bigger, fit for the night time crowd or watching sports. There was a cold drinks case with cans of the beer produced here for sale and a shelf displaying coffee for purchase from another Elkhorn business. Good cross marketing. I'd come here again if I lived nearby but it was the Nebraska Passport that drew me in. read more

Omaha Beer Week brought us to Jukes on a Saturday afternoon.Despite the piles of snow on the ground, the sunshine made for a great afternoon inside. Our server was quick and efficient. The service was a little slow and we had several delays in getting orders placed. Stopped in for an impromptu Sunday lunch last weekend. The place wasn't too busy at noon so we were able to get a table right away. Our server ( I want to say Paige) greeted us and got our drinks. Jukes is far out into Elkhorn so for those of us living closer to downtown is quite a trip. However, it is absolutely worth it for two amazing things: Salted Caramel Wings and Peanut Butter Burger. They overall have decent food (including their amazing pretzels) but even if you don't like any of the other items, both the wings and the PB Burger are worth the 30 minute drive. The service is also incredibly friendly too. They do offer small 5oz glasses for those unsure of what beer to try. I'd say the only "low" point is their indoor space as it can get pretty loud with just a few groups but even then, it's festive during games and pleasant when going out with friends. read more

In town for a baseball tournament, some of our group found Jukes. We were so excited about it, we actually formed a line at the door---they don't open until 11 am. Wanting a bar, we were sent upstairs to a cozy and comfortable area with a good-sized bar for the adults, and tables with games for the kids. We might have chosen the outdoor patio, also upstairs, except that it was raining. We chose Blue & Yellow and Wandern for our brews. Both are wheat beers and very tasty. Megan W was very patient in explaining the brew menu. Cheese curds started our food experience. These were so good that our picky eater loved them. We had to order more. We then moved on to a Brewben Sandwich (from the menu: Shaved corned beef, sauerkraut, house made Russian dressing and Swiss cheese served on dark rye) and a Nashville Hot Chicken (again, from the menu: Deep-fried chicken breast infused with our special house made cayenne pepper sauce served on a toasted potato bun topped with mayo and pickles. As far as the brewery goes...I am a big fan of Monolithic and Vis Major here in Omaha - Jukes had some nice options, but weren't quite as strong as some of my other favs around town. We initially called to place a to-go order and were told they were no longer taking to-go because the kitchen was so slammed. We decided to go in and were able to put our name on a list via telephone which was greatly appreciated so we could avoid the wait. By the time we arrived our table was ready.
