DJ is awesome. Lot's of freebies and his store is an experience, not just some guy selling cards. We take the cub scouts there and have had birthday parties there. It's a blast and sometimes he'll have Seattle Mariner and Sonic stars there for autographs. I trust his appraisals of my collection I've had for over 40 years. I visited DJ's with my eleven year old son prior to a Husky game, Great Shop! Excellent selection of new & old cards and memorabilia. The pricing was more than fair. My son even commented after we left, "That guy gets it, he's a true fan". We'll make DJ's a regular stop on our way to Mariner, Seahawks or Husky games. I wish we lived closer. read more

Best Card shop in the NW. They also have a great selection of Pokemon and Lego's. My kids love it here as well. Buying used Lego's is awesome for younger kids since we all know how expensive they are. They are right on point with internet pricing. I get great deals in the 4 for $1 boxes (they have tons of them btw) and the $0.99 bins (6 for $5). Put it to you this way, I have found cards in these boxes/bins that sell for $3 and higher on ebay. Why can't every card shop be like this? I mean the owner is as fair as can be, and that's rare to find nowadays. He does fundraisers all the time for Shepherds Cook Orphanage. My trading experiences have been good with DJ, and everyone has to understand that they guy is not forcing you to sell your stuff to him. I have never sold my stuff to him, but all the trades have been pretty fair. If you like digging, then this is the place to go!!!! read more

I've been dealing with DJ now for 7 years and I'm an avid collector for 25+ years. Most sports collectors/dealers usually have less than admirable qualities. DJ is the total opposite. He is one of the nicest, heart felt and kind people I've ever met. Sometimes I go to him just to be around the guy. He's a special person, let alone a fair and honest businessman. I used to come here as a kid for Pokemon cards. Then about a year ago my girlfriend and I started collecting again, so we were in there just about every day. DJ and Mike are always extremely helpful and very fair on buys and trades. Even if you want booster packs, come here instead of a big retail store, they sell them for $0.20 less. I collected cards for most of my childhood but stopped around 1991 when I started high school. I'm a huge sports can and a Cleveland Ohio expat. I've recently picked the hobby back up in my late 30's and have been looking around at the different sports cards shops in the area. There aren't many of them left. I found DJ's and decided to visit a few weeks back. The minute I got in the store I knew I was in the right place. DJ was super nice to be and everyone else in the store. When I first got there he was explaining to someone how much an older card was worth and why along with how much he would try to sell it for in the store. He was very nice, patient and went into great detail as to the reasoning's behind his valuation of the card. I thought he did a great job explaining things as I listened from afar while perusing the store. While there I picked up some cards, a few protective sleeve's and joined his email list that he sends out showcasing all the cool new stuff that's come into the store. Needless to say I will be going back to give him more of my business and to continue my journey back into the hobby. It's been a long time since I last collected and it's great to know there is a local shop in the area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great sports card shop and a nice guy running it. read more

I have going to DJ's since 2012 or so. I was scanning thru the internet back then, found his shop, and figured I'd give it a try. Coming from Monroe at the time was a long haul. Before I say anything about his shop I remember the early 80's of mowing lawns for $5 riding my bike to country store and buying a few packs of cards and a root beer. Awesome memories. During that time Pacific Trading Cards was in business in Edmonds and my folks would bring me there every now and then. It was like Disneyland for a kid like me trying to complete sets and I loved it. Nearly 30+ years later finding DJ's shop was very similar. The only difference was I have my own transportation and really no limits to speak of. Coming here once a month or so, it always feels the same. His shop is like a small vacation to my youth and I love every minute of it. I look around every now and then when I am going thru quarter boxes and it looks like guys like me all around experiencing the same thing. DJ has been so welcoming, kind, thoughtful, fair and everything you'd want. He literally is the opposite of most guys in this hobby. We all know what that means (arrogant, un-willing to be friendly and open from what I've ran across, un-cool). I found a shop in Kirkland that was probably the worst card shop experience I've ever had a few weeks back. Huge store, don't touch anything, we are sorting, everything was priced like it was gold. I will never step foot in that shop again, really odd guys there. DJ on the other hand is awesome. I listen to his interaction with kids, collectors, those trading or selling. The guy is incredible as a family man too, just ask, he has a few kids that he and his wife love. So yeah, I would say this is a shop I'd highly recommend. read more
