Online has great search tool, and easy enough ordering system. What it doesn't have ONLINE is correct "IN STOCK" supply. You find out the next day that it's backordered. You never get an approx date, a "shipped" status, or expectation date. Not good at all. Over the phone, the sales staff has been very helpful selecting the right parts I've needed. If I could give 0 stars I would. I don't know how this company is still in business. We ordered stainless steel material. They snuck in one piece of steel. We completed a super complicated project for a customer and installed it. Returned to our customer's house for additional work and found that one piece was rusting. Called DK and was told there was nothing they could do. It had been over 30 days. It takes 30 days to do this work, so we didn't know it was the wrong material until after that. We'll double check in the future, but at the end of the day they sent an incorrect product and should replace it with the correct product. This costs us about $2500 in time alone to repair. I ordered a household mop handle and refills. I was sent a janitor mop handle and the refills for a household mop. I contacted Dave, the rep that handled the order. Since they made the mistake he said a return label would be sent to me.I made numerous calls, left messages, texts, and an email asking for the return label and to send me the correct handle since the refills cannot be used with the janitor handle. I never received the return label or the correct handle. Dave stopped taking my calls. DK hardware treats individual purchasers poorly as other reviews stated. The sales representative Patrick Brown that handled my quote/order made promises that were not kept. From the beginning I said multiple times that I wanted both lock cylinders to be keyed-alike and that was not what I received. I mailed them back at my expense, because I was promised that I would receive a full refund that included the shipping of $51.51 only to receive $42.21 credit so I was shorted $9.30 and then I had to pay $7.98 to ship the cylinders back to them for total of $17.28 loss. I made sure and confirmed with Patrick before returning the wrong cylinders that I would receive a full refund and he also promised that with ordering the correct keyed-alike cylinders that he would cover shipping cost to me (to recoup my return shipping cost of $7.98) and he also offered a discount on my order for the inconvenience. After weeks of dealing with all this, he sent a new quote that was clearly overpriced and included a tiny discount and had higher shipping charges than I paid for the first order (and it also looks like he was adding a restock fee on the quote). If I had accepted the new quote my total out of pocket would have been $80.45 ($62.47 plus the $17.28 loss on shipping both ways on original order), instead I made a dispute with my credit card company which they have already refunded my $17.28 (will let them deal with the crooks) and ordered the correct 2 keyed-alike cylinders from DoorHardwareCenter for $41.99, which is less than my original order from DKhardware. My advice is to AVOID this company if at all possible, because if you have any issues with your order you will definitely lose money or waste many hours to fight to recover what money you can get back. read more

I bought two sets of vertical blinds in June 2025. The handyman who was installing the blinds found one set was broken. Bryan at DK opened a case and just requested some pictures. After I sent the pictures he responded right away that they will send a replacement. Great customer service to solve the issue with excellent communication. I'll likely never order from this place again nor do I recommend anyone does. If you ever need to return you will lose close to 40% of the cost to purchase. This place charges an arm and leg for hardware because much of it can't be ordered direct by consumers who don't have certain contractor licenses. I bought CLR shower hardware before I spoke with my shower door installer and he insisted that the $950 I paid was way too expensive and told me to return it - he was able to get the same for me at a fraction of the cost. But that's not my real gripe. My issue is their return policy. It's deceptive, unclear/confusing, and not at all consumer friendly. Unlike every online retailer I've ever bought from, they don't provide a return label. It would be nice if they did this even if you have to pay for shipping. But instead i had to lugg my very heavy and awkwardly long package to fedex and set up shipping for myself. It cost $45 which, given a total price of $950, I shrugged off. That is, until I received my refund. What i missed when I read their return policy (because it's at the very bottom after all the instructions and the actual policy) is that they dock off 20% for restocking. This goes up to 25% if you don't get it back to them in 14 weeks time. On top of that, they don't refund you the original shipping fee, which for me they claimed was $85. You're telling me, DK, that it cost you, a medium sized company that ships all over the US, $85 to ship the same package that it cost me, a consumer who walked in to FedEx on a Tuesday, $45 to ship? There's zero chance they don't have a commercial business shipping arrangement with a courier that discounts shipping massively. They wouldn't have a business if it cost them $80 to ship every package they ship. This is not only deceptive, not only nickel and diming customers, but it's down right fraud and theft. Caution doing business with DK Hardware. Particularly returning items can be a big problem. Their return department is not very accountable and has poor customer service - not communicative. You will need to take pictures of items, inside packing, the package and keep careful records (weight and size of anything you return. And prepare to take them to small claims court. Otherwise, they are too irresponsible and questionable about their claims in not accepting a return. They obviously just want the customers money. you can probably find what you need from other competitors with far more reliable customer service and pricing by a simple Google search of what you need. DK Hardware Unethical and a Fraud If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I ordered a 2-tier double cutlery drawer product that said it would ship within 1-2 weeks. When I first ordered it, the price on 01/17 says it was only $203.77. However, when they called me on the 20th, they said it was now backordered and that the item is actually $395.90 (NEARLY DOUBLE!!!), as the price was "incorrect" on their website, and that "prices are subject to change". Nothing ANYWHERE says anything about after you place an order that "prices are subject to change". I told them that they needed to honor the price that was listed originally in print (I kept a PDF copy of that thankfully). They said the best that they could do was give me another 5% off. I told them my husband worked for LARGE DEPT STORE RETAILER and they always honored the price in print, regardless if the price was an error or "subject to change".
