Employees here are really angry about working here. The customer service is at a all time low. If you have any questions or need help finding something just go to another location. Recently the checkout method has changed with self checkout machines. And still you have cashiers/ staff complaining and giving customers dirty looks. I really hope management tries to change this and make shopping at Home Depot fun again. read more

Really sad that people do not take pride in their work. I stood in line for 25 minutes waiting for someone in the return customer service to assist me. 4 people too busy talking to help 1 customer in need. Luckily I packed patience and it was raining. I was also looking for a specific nail, which according to online this location had 15 and when I looked through the drawers, everything was opened, disorganized or out of stock. I mean it's nails and screws but take a little pride in your store. I see they rather higher quantity versus quality people. I guess this is how doers get more done.... Went to Home Depot to rent a van and had a great experience. The desk to rent the trucks is all the way to the right, near the lumbar section. They needed ID and Credit Card. It was $19.99 for the first 75 minutes. We needed to pickup a coach that was close to the house and was able to complete it within that allotted time . Very smooth process from start to finish. The van was clean and ran smooth. It also can store a lot more than the pickup truck. They were out of the truck when I went so I went with the van but after using it once I would definitely continue to use the van next time. I went to the home depots store and I was surprised by the wide selection, they have improved their services and customer service as well. I was able to find a product that I really like for my plants. It's called Nature's care from @miraclegro, the mix absorbs water like a sponge and send nutrients right to the roots. I have seen the differences so if you are a gardening-newbie like me this is a great quality product at a very reasonable price. PLANTS- PLAnTs I also found some beautiful succulents. Let me tell you about my recent HD hurricane preparedness visit. Arrived at the Oakwood Plaza Home Depot at 6:30 am to find a brightly lit store. Frantically searching for products to protect my home from flooding, I see Manny and ask him for his assistance, He escorted me to different aisles collecting door insulation, tape, heavy plastic bags and more. Manny made suggestions of products and demonstrated how to apply/install them. He even walked me to the check out. I left feeling prepared and confident that my home would be safe from flooding. Seriously terrible customer service. STAY AWAY. In summary, we rented a pressure cleaner and an accessory at 6pm. The following morning, tried to use them and they're inoperable. called the store, twenty minutes on hold just to be told to bring it back (30 minute drive) with no trouble shooting. get to the store and they explain that the accessory should not have been given to us because it was under repair. then they refuse to give us a refund so we can go elsewhere. Because the young employee doesnt know how to turn on the device, we show him and the manager the video of the machine not working. They still refuse to refund. A circus of errors. We left, planning to stop payment with our credit card company. Adding insult to injury, we discover when we check our credit card that they double charged us. This will be followed up with a letter to Corporate. read more

We are remodeling the bathrooms and of course we have made few trips to HD. Yesterday we bought Lights, a bathroom vanity and a barn door. One employee helped us with the vanity which was stocked high up and another employee help us inspect the entire barn door box, making sure there was nothing missing inside the box because the only one available on the model we had chosen was in a semi opened box. They even helped with loading into the car. Overall, we accomplished the task with their help, which was truly appreciated. read more

Very nice store most of the time I can find everything I want for that fix it up project at home. This time around it was the leaking toilet noise with the faulty flapper. I though perhaps I had an alligator in my toilet but hubby assured me it was just a faulty flapper . Of course I did not know what to do with this project but before I could see how he fixed it , it was done. Hopefully my water bill this month won't be too much. I waited a total of an hour and 16 minutes to be able to speak to someone. After the first 30 minutes, someone responded, spoke some gibberish and put me on hold again for another 30 minutes. After an hour and 10 minutes, I was able to speak to someone, but she was not helpful at all. What a waste of time! I don't understand why they even answer the phone at all or have a phone at all. When I asked to speak to a manager to help resolve the issue that their system was having, they told me it would be a while for a manager to come and that I can come back tomorrow to see if the glitch was fixed. Today, Tuesday, January 28, 2020 @ 10:30am I had the pleasure of being serviced by far one of the best customer service reps at any of the numerous Home Depot stores I've ever visited. ELVIS made a difference in my shopping experience at THD. Thanks ELVIS! And I suggest ELVIS never leave the building! I met ELVIS in the KEYS station. When I walked up, he had 2 customers that he was helping. Here's where things changed and made all the difference in the world to ME. ELVIS was busy, 1 lady was IMO, not so nice, but ELVIS stayed the course and didn't seem to mind her aggressive in nature behavior much. Once she finished talking, ELVIS, stepped back from the key machine and his awaiting customers, he acknowledged my presence with such a friendly smile to say; "Ms. I'll be with you shortly"! Noooo, he didn't! Since when did HD employees started doing this? Normally, you have to find folks to help you, but ELVIS was right there at his assigned station. Maybe, it was all in timing, but I'm grateful I had the pleasure and opportunity to meet ELVIS! A diamond in the rough. FIRST time ever at any THD stores, that my shopping experience exceeded my expectations! Trust me, you that's a tough feat to accomplish. ELVIS exudes, passion, kindness, professionalism and decorum. The service for delivery and pick up is horrible. They have you to pay for a service that is not truly provided. Wait time provided for delivery and pick up is 6 AM- 8 PM then no one shows up or calls to let you know they not coming. No consideration for customers time. No consideration for people who take off work for delivery or make arrangements for someone to wait for a pick up. On top of all of that the item was damaged and I do not get a refund until the item is returned. Home Depot does not operate with the customer in mind. read more

Never a dull moment at Home Depot: the parking lot is always full, men sitting/standing around outside the business waiting for work, and people hauling loads of wood and other do-it-yourself items to their vehicles. Home Depot offers the following: appliances, BBQ grills, patio furniture, hardware, lawn & garden, home decor, tools, lumber, paint, doors & windows, electrical & plumbing, lighting & ceiling fans, etc. at reasonable prices. I came to get an air filter for the A/C unit at home. After walking around a bit, I asked an employee where I can find what I was looking for and she was nice enough to tell me which aisle it was in. There were different sizes of air filters at various prices. The store didn't carry the size I needed for the A/C unit, so I chose one that was a little bigger and would adjust the length when I get home. It was a bit of a wait at the checkout line, but the cashier was pleasant and tended to each customer in a timely manner. Will return when necessary. read more

I like the vicinity of this Home Dept that I can stop by here on the way to the various job sites. I regularly stop here to get supplies for the job at hand. The employees are usually pretty friendly but don't really go out the way to show you where the product is at. They point or tell which aisle the product is at or you can't find a employee that is not being involved with another customer. I wish there was more employees that was available to show or let you know the information about the product that you want. I still love the products that is available there and I love seeing the different products there that I might get out of my wish list to my shopping cart. read more

I rented a van last Friday afternoon to transport an item from point A to point B. I understand reasonable wear and tear on vehicle, but this van has more damage than should be feasible for it's age. The dents (not dings) we're pointed out by salesperson but not the nail in the tire or how bald the tires were. This situation could have been devastating if I was in an accident with the heavy load I was carrying. Even worse my insurance not The Home Depot holds the liability. I would expect better from The Home Depot. When pointing out the nail, the bald tires upon return the employee not only had an attitude but basically told me it wasn't like that upon releasing the vehicle to me - only acknowledging a couple dings. He said my driving wore down the tires. Seriously over a couple hours, this is not possible. With no apology and a shift leader (my guess) not giving a discount they proceeded to ring me up. Cashier asked the person who appeared to be his supervisor. I wanted to show them what I was talking about but they declined because they were understaffed and busy. read more

Customer service is terrible at this store. I used to work at THD and we were expected to walk with the customer and physically show them what they are trying to find. So many associates in this store just say "it's two aisles over in the middle bay" when it may or may not actually be there. I experienced this today in plumbing and we weren't even talking about the same item so it was a disaster. Then I asked the same associate where to find plumber's grease and he took me to plumber's SEALANT which is a different item altogether -- all with this haughty attitude. THD didn't even have it so I had to buy it at Ace Hardware and now have to return the sealant to THD. It's pretty much the same kind of service at most of THD stores in South Florida so don't expect much help. read more

Yes, that's me, in Home Depot. Surprised? Not really. I am not very good at doing house keeping/maintenance/repairs. I figured I better leave the jobs to the professionals. After we got our house refinanced/re-modified, its time to get the home improvement projects going again. Project #1: pave the backyard. We've been wanting to do this for so long. We love to BBQ in the backyard while enjoying a few drinks in the lounging chairs. But the problem is that most of the yards is grass and the area that was paved is too small to fit any patio furniture on it. The solution is to pave the whole backyard so we can put place a nice patio table and chairs. Since I have hired someone to do the job, all I need to do is to get the materials. I came here to get the stuff to seal the concrete/bricks so I will not need to worry about for the water damages. The contractor told me to get some concrete paver sealer and he'll do the job. Well, I had no idea where to even start looking for this stuff. I figured my best chance is to start looking for it at the garden area and go from there. I found a few staff in the area chit-chatting and approached them to get an answer. They seemed annoyed when I interrupted their conversation and just casually pointed their finger and went: oh, its over there. "Where exactly" I asked? The one guy pointed his finger again and went..over there, all the way down, and walked away. Great customer service, huh? Okay, fine! I will find it myself. I spent another 25 minutes searching isles by isles and was finally able to find it in the corner in the back wall. But, there are sever different kinds of sealers, which one should I get. Trying to find another staff for help seemed totally out of question here. I took pictures of the different kinds of sealers and sent it to my contractors hoping that he can point out the one I need. But, guess what, my phone's batty died while the pictures were being sent. I really don't want to make another trip and go through the whole thing again. So I just closed my eyes, grabbed one at random, and called it the day. The moral of this review is: Home Depot's customer service sucks!!! They don't have enough staff in the store to service their customers. Even if you were lucky enough to see one, they would not go out of their way to help you. Maybe these employees hated their job for making minimum wages, but should that be our problems? Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that they do not have enough cashier working at the register. Only 2 cashiers working while the line is all the way to China? I'd have gone to the self-check register but all four of them were not open. Come On man! read more

I waited for 20 to 30 minutes for someone to unlock the items so I could purchase some lights and a battery.I truly believe that it needs more employees at an area because all I see are employees talking to each other.I even asked for someone to unlock the items I need and they unlock one item and left.He completely forgot to help me with the other items.He only came back when multiple people started to complain too about the items that were locked up and nobody was there to help.The prices where decent but I couldn't believe that the battery I was looking for my tool was 100$.All in all I don't ever believe I will shop here again. read more
