Don't let this small salon fool you. Everything was great. They were on point! I would recommend them!

I am a man. A real man's man, to be exact. Now, some people might say real men would never go get their toenails done at a nail spa. To that I ask, "Why the fuck not?" First of all, you sit in a badass massage chair here while your feet soak in water. Then the lady appears and does all sorts of relaxing things to your feet. She cuts and files your toenails and then she washes, scrubs, and massages your feet with pleasant-smelling goos. At one point she sticks your feet inside plastic bags of colorful hot wax. Afterward, your feet come out of it feeling all tingly and smooth-like. As a cherry on top, she will then paint your toenails with any color you can think of, but if that's too girly for you, there is the option to have them painted with clear polish so that none of your friends even know what you've done here. But in the end, your feet feel utterly fantastic. I kid you not, if you're a man who's never had a pedicure, then you're missing out big time. It's the best. read more

I've been a loyal customer for the last 7 years but this last visit and communication I had didn't seem like I was an important enough customer to them. I went in for the first time in 3 months since I've had my baby and I went in for SNS acrylic nails, a pedicure, and eyebrow wax. I was put with someone new that I haven't seen/met before and mind you I trusted the owner that they were putting me in good hands. My first SNS experience was terrible. She quadrupled the powder, didn't bother to file nor buff to make it natural to the shape of my hand. I asked her if this was all she was going to do. Her concern was that the color wouldn't match to the color of my toenails as she was ready to start with the matte polish. I told her I could care less about the color any more as it looked CHUNKY on my nails and HEAVY. She was so annoyed and started to get a bit rough and of course, she barely cleaned it up. And left me with these nails. Then when she did my eyebrows, I asked for them to be a little thin and she left me with uneven eyebrows and thinner than I had wanted them. I didn't say anything because ‍ I just wanted to get out. I'm dealing with PPD and this was the last thing I needed. I ended up going elsewhere since they were closed that following Sunday and paid extra for something that I should've gotten in the beginning (they're no longer matte in the photos). A few days later I scheduled another appointment in hopes to erase this one mistake and preserve my 7 year loyalty by chatting with the owner, I unfortunately had to reschedule the morning of via text. Mind you we've been scheduling and rescheduling via text for many years. But this time they said the text was missed even when I sent it 3-4 hours before my appointment to let them know I wasn't going to make it due to child care. I got chewed out saying that I need to call moving forward because they missed my message even though I've seen them go on their phones during my visits.. Womp, womp. I get it. Gotta handle business but one bad experience after the next was disappointing and they didn't offer to reschedule for another day. So that just let me know it's time to sadly break up and move on. read more

I just recently started getting gel and was going to a different place but decided to try DK for a change.. I highly highly recommend going. They are very sweet every time and always remember even if I haven't been in months. I think her name is spelled Phuong but she is absolutely amazing and very detail oriented. Making sure I actually like what it looks like and checking in with me. Makes sure the manicure altogether looks good which is important. So calm, so peaceful. They never rush, take their time and really give the "spa" feel. I come in with my cousin and we always have a great time with all the staff. My nails are always perfect. I do not typically leave reviews, and especially not negative ones, by my last experience here warranted a review that other customers should know about. I have been here previously and have had no issues, however this past experience was definitely they worst manicure I've ever had. My skin has SNS fingernail polish on it and the nail technician actually painted from nail to skin in one layer, without removing any excess. My skin actually hurts today where it was painted to the skin. The SNS is stuck to my actual skin on my ring finger in the pictures, hence the thick and appearance of the polish. He filed my 'almond' shape to sharp points, after I mentioned I wanted them rounded and shortened slightly so I can easily insert and remove my eye contacts, but now they are just short and sharp and hardly almond, but more of a stiletto tip. I pointed out asymmetries and differences in lengths/shaping before he applied polish, but the filing he did after I mentioned it to him only worsened appearance of my nails. This individual also actually went out of sequence with the SNS powder and applied something inaccurate and he tried to just wipe it off with paper towel very well, which ultimately left a white cloudy/dry appearance over the red I wanted. It appeared to be acetone and made a cloudy appearanceover the red color. Two of my fingers have show through spots where he was buffing the SNS at the end to give it luster and smoothness to the texture, but actually filed the red away completely and my normal nail color shows thru. There was no trimming of my cuticles or skin prior to applying new polish after removing the old color. He went straight to a rotary buffer instrument to take off my old SNS (from another nail salon in Austin), and applied too much pressure to my finger and there was a visible indentation and thin spot on my actual natural unpolished finger nail. He thinned this portion so much that when he applied acetone to it to removed the rest of the polish it hurt and was cold and incredibly sensitive from how thin he had made the nail in this area. The employees here are very nice, and until this past polish, I have never had an issue. But unfortunately the quality of my last polish was so sub par and egregious for a nail salon, that I will not be returning. In my opinion this polish was not worth the $85 I was charged for mani+pedi and I did not want to make a scene publicly yesterday with other customers in such close proximity. So I paid them for services rendered, but will not be returning and hope others can benefit from the knowledge of my poor experience. read more

Kim takes her time and goes over each nail until they're perfect, I've never had a complaint and I've been coming in for years. This salon has a HUGE selection of gel colors to choose from and I don't think I've ever gotten the same one twice because there is just too many beautiful colors to pick from! My design requests are always met and she never fails to have the latest trends (ombré, glitters, chrome, etc.) I wouldn't want to go anywhere else, everyone should come here and get hooked on these ladies! read more

I found the place by looking on yelp and I was pleasantly Surprised. The Decour inside is really nice and it is very clean. They offer drinks including white and red wine which I thought was a nice touch. Although they were busy, they all remain calm and everybody was help quickly and the quality was just above and beyond. Once I walked in I felt very relaxed, because everything in their spa was so well organized & most importantly clean! I got a deluxe pedicure for 45 minutes at $35.00, and you get to choose your preferred lotion smell which was nice. I choose mango instead of the lavender or lemon. It wasn't over powering my nose so I liked that. The deluxe also came with the hot paraffin wax. My feet loves that! There were three different packages so I choose the middle one, but you could choose the $25 or the $45. Which means the amount of time changes as well. They were not pushy in getting you to do any thing else like for me, they only asked me once if I needed a manicure. Overall my lady did an excellent job, and was very attentive and nice. I will start by writing that I was not patient this morning when I went to DK for the first time because when I make the decision to get my nails done I am just ready and focus on it until it's done. Because of all the useful reviews, also because it's Saturday, I called first to see if an appointment was needed today. I was told no and that I could walk in. I drove there and twenty minutes later, I arrived and was told I needed to make an appointment via phone call so I left. I called a half an hour later. They told me to come in as a walk in and stay. This was all confusing since I am a new customer. Learn from me as I write this review. My suggestion is to show up and wait if you can. I finally got to see Justin. He was great. He and his wife Kim work there. There were four employees working today. I wanted a full set and was quoted thirty dollars. We ended up doing shellac though so it ended up being forty dollars. Every customer was happy. It was fun to watch Family Feud in there. Steve Harvey is hilarious on that show. The shop was clean. There were many nail polish color options. I like the location. I removed one star because of the confusion with how I was supposed to just stay there and wait. I really want this business to be successful. I like the work Justin did. I now have bright red, squared, shellac nails. Try this place when you are near the area. It's off Hester's Crossing in the shopping center near Flix Brewhouse. Also, keep aware that I did not get a hand massage nor any special extras with my manicure so don't feel odd if you don't either. It just must be the way they do things. read more

I love this place!!! The nail techs here are all amazing. Iv been 4 times now and had a different technician every time and have not been disappointed once. Recently I went with my mom and cousin to get our nails done for my wedding and everyone there was super sweet and made sure we were taken care of. It took about 2 hours for the 3 of us and we all got manis and pedis done. I even had jewels added to my nails and not one Has come off. I highly recommend Dk nails! read more

I love this place! I have yet to have a bad experience. I would recommend Kim or her husband for a manicure - I've found they do the best job! I tried a number of nail salons around Austin before finding DK. They're SNS (dip powder) manicures last at least 3 weeks without breakage (I've found other places don't use this good of a product and "the dip" manicures can break easily). I usually go to a different nail salon, but they weren't open so I tried DK Nails & Spa for the first time. They were OUTSTANDING!! I got a Deluxe pedicure that took an hour, but only because Angela did a massage for 20 minutes. Usually nail salons massage for only 5 minutes. Then, I showed Kim a picture of the Christmas nails that I wanted, and she did them even better than the picture. I have never been to a nail salon that PERFECTS the nails shown in the picture. I always see the same friendly faces. That to me speaks volumes. My first and last time here. I wanted to get a gel manicure and pedicure and the nail technician kept asking me if I wanted dip on my nails. I kept telling her I wanted gel but she kept pestering me about getting dip, I said no three times and she handed me the dip colors so I gave in and got dip. Their dip is the most expensive thing on their menu, $45+. The dip nails didn't last me two weeks before they started lifting, one broke in half and my gel pedicure chipped on multiple toes. I went to another salon to get everything redone and they commented on the dip, saying that they should have lasted much longer than 2 weeks. I spent $100 for my dip nails and pedicure here only to get both redone in 2 weeks. Very unhappy with the services and how much i paid, however the technicians were decently nice and the salon was clean. read more
