I purchased a car from this dealership back in October. It is now February and I still have not received my license plates!! When I called the DMV, they asked for me to contact the dealer as they had not completed/submitted the necessary paperwork for a title transfer. I called Darell and sure enough he has not completed the smog for him to complete the title transfer nor did he bother to call me to have it done. Had to waste my time to have it smog checked as Darell claimed he would reimburse me. To top it off, he claimed he changed the brakes to the car and sure enough used the cheapest brakes as they are squeaking!! DO NOT waste your time with this place. Update from my previous review: So Since Darell had not completed a smog check on my car before he sold it, I had to get it done myself. Til this day Darell has not reimbursed me and each time he says the check will be mailed out, but never does. He always finds an excuse on why I have not received my check. He later threatens me with his lawyers once I tell him I will update my Yelp review :) After being fed up with his way of business, he calls me a jerk! You sir are the jerk for selling people cars and not submitting title transfers nor performing smog checks! Yelp is a review of your business, plz do whatever you like Darell. I went to DL and unfortunately the loan I was trying to get was too small for any of their banks to carry so I was cool with that. Told Darryls wife if be by to get my cash back. She was like OK. I told her I was in Glendale so my drive was far. I get there and they were out for two hours, now Im waiting to get my money and Darryl was like, I'm not in the area and then said his wife told me she was leaving somewhere which was totally false.... While they're selling you they're all nice and then they switch up on you.... It's a black owned dealership.... Which I commend yet I won't be trying them anytime soon. read more

Just purchased a 2003 Mercedes CLK430. Daryll was great to speak with, I got a great price and the process was relatively quick. I didn't know a mechanic to show up for the 3rd party inspection, but I have taken it to the shop and everything looks good aside from some weather stripping damage that I missed. Overall the whole experience was great and hassle free. I found this company through USAA auto circle and even though it's a 40 minute drive away, I'm glad I made it. 11/30/14 So far so good! 8/19/15 everything with the car has performed amazingly. No mechanical problems that would indicate the car was anything other than excellent. I am happy that I purchased my car from DL Autolux 2/12/16 The car has been running great! I have been able to take the car into the shop for basic maintenance and repairs at a very reasonable rate. I will be buying my next car from here soon! 9/9/17 The Benz is still running great! I am very fortunate to have purchased a vehicle from a reliable dealer. My son and I first met with Daryl, owner of DL Auto Lux, 6850 Westminster Blvd, Westminster, CA on November 17th, 2014. He is a very slip-shod used car auto dealer. They/he put my son's life at risk by not replacing the brakes on all 4 of his tires, when he said he did. I needed my own mechanic who inspected the car to tell me all four brakes where down to metal to metal after we drove the car off the lot. Dorothy and Daryl are nice people as most used car sales people are. However, their follow through is extremely bad. He said he would have the "Due Bill" that is the to do list of things that needed to be worked-on to get the car into reasonable shape to be driven off the lot in 2 days after we bought it. Two days turned out to be six weeks and I had to make three trips, which turned out to be a waste of my time. Daryl tells you things are fixed and you can pick up the car, but when you go to look at the car they are not. I finally took delivery and picked up the completed car on January 2nd, 2015. read more

I bought my 2003 Mazda from Daryl at DL Auto Lux back in February or early March of this year. I really liked Daryl and the passion he demonstrated about cars and the business; plus, he made me feel comfortable about my purchase. Having never bought a car before he made the transaction very smooth and easy and helped me find a car I liked that was in my price range (which was incredibly low I might add.) He even repainted the bumper of the car free of charge - which was awesome! Now, although I really liked Daryl as a person; I'm afraid I fell into the stereotypical trap of trusting a used car salesman and I essentially bought a lemon. I take full responsibility, 100%, that I made the mistake of not having an auto shop check out the car before purchasing - a mistake I never plan to make again. Nonetheless, I started to first experience some problems about two weeks into owning my car - I took the vehicle back to Daryl and his guy "fixed" the issue (and exhaust block that was making the exhaust come through my vents into my car) as it was still under warranty. Then about a month into owning the car I attempted to drive to work one morning and the engine felt like it was trying to shake itself out of my car (scary stuff!) Not really liking the work Daryl's guy did the last time, I took it to a local auto shop. Roughly $5,000 later I have a new engine, water pump, brake pads, a cleared exhaust pipe (that had been supposedly fixed the first time) and some various hoses and lines that DESPERATELY needed to be fixed and/or replaced. Plus, a cracked catalytic converter, about a $1500 repair, that I have no idea where I'm going to get the funds for. I have now officially put more into fixing this car than it was worth in the first place. The whole situation is frustrating and as I said - I should have taken it to someone to check it out in the first place - but really, I just wish Daryl had been more aware of the problems with a car that he had on his lot. And if he was aware of them and he just didn't inform me, that makes me incredibly sad because I truly wanted to support his and his wife's business. Overall, I guess you live and you learn; however, I'm very disappointed with my purchase from DL Auto Lux. read more
