Never a kinda staff or a better deal. I didn't feel raked over and coals, and walked away with a top notch used vehicles with minimal issues (just needed to change spark plugs). After searching for a used car for a couple of weeks and being lured in to some car, lots with their low prices just so they can tack on their "dealer fees" and other add-ons such as window tint, service contracts, alarms, maintenance packages. When you call them and ask what the out the price is they won't give it to you, but when I called Kenny at WMC he quoted me the price out the door and sent me a breakdown of all the fees. Was looking for a used car for months and finally found the one I wanted at a reasonable price at WMC. The place is not that big but very clean and well kept. The car I purchased had super low mileage, a clean title according to carfax, and was extremely clean on the inside with the original owners manual to the car included, which all was a major plus, especially from what Ive seen at MANY other used car dealers. Kenny was the salesman who helped me out. He is straight forward, very helpful, very kind, and very professional, which I appreciate. The battery needed to be replaced in the car and the trunk also needed a fixture and both were taken care of before I officially brought the car. I received a copy of the smog certification upon my request. The downside is I needed to get new tires (which I already knew in getting the car) and will have to get new brake pads but hey Its an 11 year old car and in very good condition aside from that! Just keep in mind when you are buying used cars, especially cars over 5 years old, they will not be in perfect condition...they're are bound to have some type of issues minor or major, so you have to do your own detailed research, find/bring a trustworthy mechanic, count the cost and weigh your pros and cons. After getting into a pretty bad car accident, I had been looking for a new car for close to a month. Each previous dealership I had been to, came with a myriad of issues; unclear documentation, made up fee's, shifty salesman, or rude staff. That was not the case with WMC. I arrived about 4:30 pm, and was greeted warmly by Dan and shortly I was shown the car. All within my 15 min of arriving, I was out for test drive. - Their warehouse is extremely clean, and in a somewhat residential area. - Their prices are reasonable, and cars of good quality. - Staff is friendly, and honest, and upfront. I came back in the next day to purchase the car, expecting to have to negotiate with all the bs fee's the typical dealerships add on, but that was not the case. Dan was very thorough, and clear. Within two hours, we had all the documents signed and I was out the door with my new car. If you know what you're looking for, and WMC has it stock--you should definitely take to check them out. My particular experience did not go as well as most of the reviews on here. The salesperson Kenny was really nice and the business itself is very friendly. The cars are kept in a neat and clean warehouse. I scheduled an appointment after work and arrived on time. Kenny was speaking to another buyer when I had arrived. Introduced myself and asked for a test drive. Before the test drive started the other buyer that had left wanted to put a security deposit. I was then told I wasn't allowed to test drive it but after a few words to the other buyer I was on my way. Car was smooth, everything worked. I left hoping the buyer would back out. Buyer backed out the next day, I ended up getting the vehicle inspected at Lexus. Lexus found a few common maintenance items that were of no concern to me. However, Lexus did find these items: -Aftermarket intake that did not have carb sticker -Leaking and seeping rear shocks -Wheels not matching stock OEM specs, spacers were needed to clear rear brake caliper Intake: $700 to replace to spec and be able to smog it at a reputable smog station Rear shocks: $657 for the pair (Kenny did agree to replace rear shocks during negotiation) + labor -OEM replacement wheels and tires: $1000-1700 Kenny would not budge on the list price and insisted the items above less the shocks were not to be considered. Wheelspacers are technically a safety concern and a non California compliant intake can cause problems with smog later if I don't have an on hand replacement. Again, they're really nice people but a tad bit unreasonable. Kenny even helped set up the Lexus inspection and dropped it off, picked it up, and negotiated $39 off the service invoice that I paid. Just couldn't go the extra mile to make the purchase right. read more

Really dissapointed. Purchased a car here back in october 2017, and barely put 5000 miles on it. Fast forward to August 2018 i start getting strange noises from the hood - took it to a shop and find out the torque converter is gone and a gear in the transmission needs to be replaced. I was quoted around $1300.00 for it to be repaired. Also when i purchased the car they claimed to have inspections done by "ase" certified technicians, to verify the car is in proper working conditions. Then tell me why when i took it home did i need to get the back headlights replaced? I was given a point inspection sheet that clearly said they were working properly. My mistake that i didnt look more carefully and decided to trust them. I also wasnt given the smog certificate when i purchased the car. I had to contact them MYSELF a few days later to get it, otherwise i dont think i would have gotten it. Im now stuck with a car that i cant use and cannot afford the repairs for. I would not recommend anyone to go here and if you do you should take the car to ANOTHER independent mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. Dan is a great guy! I've had my Toyota matrix for about 3 months now and I've traveled long distances with it (about 6k miles). So far, there are no problems and it runs great. I highly recommend Westminster Motorcars!!! These guys are a small, professional, and very friendly business. We had a great experience buying from them recently. Dan helped us before we even arrived, giving us detailed directions to their warehouse. Yes, their "lot" is a warehouse, which is unconventional, but the building was clean and orderly (including the bathroom!), and when I saw that the few cars they had for sale were all kept indoors and secured at night, it made me feel even better about buying from them. Dan offered us refreshments from their mini fridge while we waited for them to pull the car out for a test drive, then he took us out for a spin. He explained that they do a 200-mile "road test" on all of their vehicles, plus a 35-point inspection before they even offer the cars for sale. They buy vehicles wholesale, but they only sell the "cream of the crop" at their small lot. We really liked the car, but had a couple others to look at in the LA area before we made a decision. At the end of the day, we decided theirs was the best choice for us, but unfortunately by then it was nearing closing time and we were in northern LA. At that point, Kenny took over our transaction, and he and Derrick stayed after their normal hours to wait for us to drive back through LA traffic to sign the papers and eventually take the car home, saving us a 4-hour trip back. They worked over the phone/email with our out-of-area credit union so that we could feel comfortable with the purchase, and our credit union representative even told us that the guys at WMC really knew what they were doing when it came to the paperwork. When we were finally leaving the parking lot in our new car, Kenny and Derrick came running back out to give us gas money (with all the rush, they had forgotten to fill the tank for us). Just goes to show you what honest people they are. Our correspondence with them before, during, and after the purchase has been very professional, friendly, and overall a great experience. My experience with Westminster Motorcars was the best car buying experience ever. They were honest, upfront, personable, and super accommodating. We drove up from San Diego to check out a car we found online. Though WMC closes at 6 pm, Dan agreed to stick around until we got there around 7:15 pm. After my husband test drove the car, we made decision to buy it that night. I was never once haggled or pressured into buying the vehicle. The price was the lowest we found in the Southern California region and I think that's the advantage WMC has over large dealerships. They know their target customers and offer such competitive prices that their cars likely do not stay on their lot for very long (quick turnover). WMC was, again, so timely and accommodating that they were willing to go the extra mile to satisfy my bank's requirements. This was telling of the top notch customer service they provide. The entire experience of buying the car was actually pleasant! Dan was very honest in disclosing any and all possible issues with the car and readily agreed to have the car inspected by a mutually agreeable source - the Toyota Dealer. There were no hidden flaws found, Dan was as honest as they come. The car was priced to sell, and under average market listing. To be frank, I have been ripped off in car deals before, so I was polite, but wasn't going to buy any car unless I could have it inspected. Dan answered every question I asked, and when he didn't know something about the car, he simply said so. This was a good sign, but the proof was in the inspection.
