The food was great! I will say the spicy rigatoni was indeed SPICY. The blu and gold martini was great! Service was a little slow. The vibes were fun!

Spicy Rigatoni Pasta. This was REALLY good! Great noodle choice.

Great food! Great drinks! And the staff?! AMAZING! Our waiter, Parker, he was such a sweetheart...attentive, great service and just so charismatic. We loved him so much, had a great time! That Lemon Drop and the Peach Bellini were great, could've ordered those all night. I tried the spicy rigatoni pasta and I'll definitely be ordering that next time. The spinach dip was a great way to start, with the salsa and sour cream. And I think next time I might make my own pizza. Loved the thin crust!

A beautiful restaurant with an inviting covered patio. The vibe is amazing and welcoming. Staff is attentive and well trained. Their Tavern Chicago style pizza is delicious. Appetizer Spinach Artichoke Dip is a great starter Salads, sandwiches, and house specialties are very tasty and popular! The bar is a centerpiece and stocked with all your favorites. If you're looking for a first class experience, this is a place to begin. See you there!

Food is really good, the staff is friendly and and overall good experience! The atmosphere is like your at a pub new one or Irish with the bar and brass foot bar. There are purse hooks and it seems like a solid place. I stumbled onto it after I couldn't find a restaurant I was supposed to go to.

Great casual diner with a classy Chicago tavern-like feel to it. Our server was great- super friendly and had a lot to share about the menu! We all got the spicy rigatoni which had an excellent red chili sauce that paired nicely with the unique stracciatella. I'd say it had a tasteful spice but the spicy food fiends out there might be left unsatisfied. The brownie!!!! was also just as good as it looks! Magically it wasn't too sweet even with the cherry filling and ice cream on top. Sweet treats are my biggest weakness so I might be a little biased, but my friends also had positive reviews so you can take their word for it too. Overall great experience, a little pricey but worth it if you're looking for a nice spot to dine in.

I really enjoy this place. Def has that SMU feeling to it with a mix of Cheers (yes the TV show). Food and service in the few times I've been here has been good. I come for the tavern style pizza which may not be home, but gives me what I need when I wan that feeling. If I lived in the neighborhood, I'd be call Norm for the many times I'd be here.

I keep giving rigatoni a try. I'm going to have to accept that it just isn't my pasta. I got the Chicken Parmesan that came with rigatoni. The chicken parm was really good. Want to win me over? Put lots of cheese. The rigatoni? Not bad, just not my preferred pasta. It didn't help that while the chicken was hot, the pasta wasn't. I got the famous chicken tenders to go (tomorrow's lunch). They tasted really good, but I was not aware that the breading would be soft instead of crispy. That could have made them perfect. She let me know that the strips came with coleslaw and suggested fries instead. I said yes, because why not. Be warned that there's an up charge for the fries, not a substitute. In addition , the fries are just placed in a sack, not a closed container, but a sack. I also ordered a Bellini. It was way too strong. I asked if I could get one with less alcohol and was told they're premade. No offer to take it back. I think one reviewer said theirs had very little alcohol. I guess it depends on who's on Bellini patrol.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Can't beat a crispy crust and flavorful ingredients. Also the Gibson salad was delicious. To add our sever was great and the covered patio seating was well ventilated and welcoming. With no reservation on a weekend, we were seated in seconds Overall I actually have no complaints about my experience or the food. Is this a fine dining establishment? No, but it doesn't need to be to earn 5 stars. All I can say is that I need to come back ASAP!

One of my favorite restaurants in Dallas!!! The honey truffle chicken pizza is truly amazing and such a unique pizza!! The Gibson salad is divine and such a fun way to have Brussels sprouts!! Drinks are amazing - favorite are frozen peach Bellini and lemon drop martini!! Such a fun restaurant with a great vibe and super lively! Great for a happy hour too!! I have always had great service and great staff!

We tried this place for lunch recently and had a good experience. We were sat in a booth on the side of the bar and it was comfortable and quiet. We tried the deviled eggs and the fries to start with. Both had great flavor. The tuna melt was tasty. The sauce on it should be an option for the fries. The white truffle gnocchi was delicious. I added chicken at the recommendation of our server and it was fantastic . Our service was great. We can't wait to come back to try more menu items.

Delicious food and decent service. The ambiance is very similar to Hudson House and the food is tasty. It is a little on the pricier side but the ambiance makes up for that. We came for lunch on a weekend and it was not super packed which was nice. They have a patio that is heated and enclosed during the winter which makes for plenty of more searing options. The food itself was tasty and the portions are plenty big. The burger was delicious and their shoestring fries are not to be missed. Cracker crust pizza and huge chicken parm as well! I'd definitely recommend this spot for a great meal! The only miss for us was our server was a but slow in checking on us but was not the end of the world.

Overall: 2.6/5 [dine in]…read more The place is nice, but smaller than expected. They had bubble guns too, which was a fun surprise. We came in near closing time, but Emilia provided us great service and stayed attentive even though they were clearly packed. We were seated at a table near the door, and unfortunately it had a vomit smell. Whatever it was, my friend could not stand it and had to get up and step away from the table. We first thought the culprit was the paper drink coasters, but then the staff removed the door mat near us later on, so maybe someone puked on it and the smell lingered, even after it was cleaned up. Clear Mizu ($16): This has Sakura vermouth and bitters, so we ordered it. It tasted like straight up gin and was not good. It was actually one of the rare times my husband could not finish his drink. Kyoto Sunset ($15): This one wasn't bad and tasted like honeydew. The ingredients include honeydew Calpico, so that makes sense. Johnny Walker Black ($16): This was our friend's drink, which I think was just coke and Johnny Walker. Nothing special about the taste either. Given the smell and so-so/terrible cocktails, we will not be coming back or taking our friends here.

Overall: 4.7/5 [dine in]…read more Service was amazing! Our waitress Emilia was super attentive throughout the whole night. The drinks have unique flavor combinations that actually deliver and the happy hour is phenomenal. We're talking 50% off select appetizers and entrees, $12 Over the Counter cocktails, $10 classics, and BOGO ponies and shots. They also have daily specials Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday. The space has serious speakeasy vibes so give your eyes a few seconds to adjust when you walk in from the bright light outside. Icelandic Hot Dog ($3.50 HH): Tiny single bite TX wagyu dog that was cute but hard to share. Tasted pretty similar to a regular hot dog. Tostada ($4 HH): Kanpachi on a blue corn tortilla. I'd recommend getting 2 since it gets messy the moment you take a bite and I didn't really get a proper taste of it because of that. Caviar Chip ($6.50 HH): A generous dollop of caviar on a kettle cooked potato chip with creme fraiche underneath. A yummy combo but honestly something you could recreate at home. East Coast Oyster ($2.75 HH): My husband got a single oyster to try and thought it was pretty good. London Fog ($12 HH): Milk washed London dry gin, earl grey, aveze, dry curacao, and vanilla orange honey. I loved this cocktail. I don't usually like gin and find earl grey too strong on its own but this combination was perfection. It was also served in the cutest tea cup with a yummy cookie on the side. Morocco ($12 HH): Moroccan mint tea, terralta reposado, rye, fernet branca menta, and agave. Not my favorite compared to the London Fog but my husband absolutely loved it and said it was one of the best cocktails he has ever had. He even said it would have been his signature cocktail at our wedding. I was shocked but to each their own. Confit'd and Fried Chicken Wings ($7.50 HH): The most disappointing item of the night. Came with 6 wings tossed in a Korean wing sauce that tasted very close to buffalo. The wings themselves were average. Skip these. Beef Cheek Tacos ($12 HH): Came with 3 tacos that were some of the best we've had in a while. Delicious, flavorful, no notes. Highly recommend. Soft Serve Marg ($12 HH): Like a boozy dole whip that doubled as dessert. Not too heavy but not super strong either. A fun way to end the meal. Pekin Tom ($20): Duck fat washed wild turkey 101, lapsang peach liqueur, absinthe, and pecan smoke. Not part of the happy hour menu. They smoke it right in front of you which is a cool presentation but the taste was pretty average. APO Burger ($10 HH) + Truffle Fries Sub ($7): The truffle fries felt a bit steep but they ended up being worth it. Super crispy, delicious, and addictive. The burger was cut in half which made it easy to share and it came with a TX wagyu patty, bruleed fontina, Spanish tomato spread, garlic whip, and chive. Burst of flavors, melt in your mouth wagyu, absolutely chef's kiss. We will 100% be coming back. It's a perfect spot for an intimate date night.

Right from the start, I loved the entrance--it's super cool how they're connected with the sushi bar next door. The atmosphere was top-tier, complete with great music and fast, friendly service. Full review: I made a reservation for Ginger's at 9.30pm on a Saturday night. We arrived around 9.20pm and there was no line yet. We were able to go right in but had to wait until our reservation time for the table. We got a drink from the bar, where the other patrons were friendly and the bartenders were fast and very attentive despite it already being fairly busy. Our table was ready right at 9.30, and it was great. Two large comfy chairs with a small cocktail table in between. Cozy enough for conversation despite the place being fairly busy. It was much busier by the time we left (there was a line outside at that point), but our cozy spot was great regardless of how crowded the place got. As far as the aesthetics go, the bar is beautiful and the discreet entrance gives it the speakeasy feel. The music was great, and a handful of patrons danced in the space (which just added to the lively ambience). The drinks are top notch. I only had two. The Ginger's Old Fashioned is a solid old fashioned but nothing to rave about. However, the Diamond in the Rough is amazing and unlike any other bourbon cocktail I've had. I'd go back for that alone (and would definitely the Barrel-Aged Black Manhattan the next time). The only real downside to the bar is the restrooms. There was a slight wait for the men's (no big deal), but the wait for the women's was pretty crazy with a line outside. We let women start alternating to use the men's because we felt a little bad for them.

On the topic of cocktails, I tried the the nuit en rose spritz, the limoncello spritz as well as the pina colada spritz. They were all delicious, freshening and while the cocktails are definitely pricey, I thought there was enough alcohol in the drinks to make them worth it. For food, we ordered the honey truffle brie baguette, the frites, and the quiche of the day which happened to be goat cheese and spinach. WOW!! The baguette transported me to heaven, so good!! The truffle is strong though, so only order if you like that flavoring! Frites were crispy and easy to grab by the handful, definitely worth ordering and splitting with the whole table. The quiche was fresh and bouncy, and I was glad it was on offering since the regular quiche includes meat that can't be substituted out! Will definitely come back to this hidden gem!!
